Lennox and Adrienne left the penthouse early in the morning. Since they were scheduled to marry at the Registry Bureau, they wanted to make sure everything was perfect for their big day.
Today was the day they had been waiting for—their wedding day. Instead of opting for a grand wedding ceremony, they had decided on a simple and intimate affair at the Registry Bureau. As much as they wanted their families to be there, Lennox and Adrienne wanted to keep their wedding discreet to avoid the prying eyes of the public and the Qin family.
The sun was just starting to rise, casting a warm golden glow over the city streets as their car made its way towards the bustling downtown area of Jinling City. The city was alive with the sounds of honking horns, chattering pedestrians, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting from the nearby cafes.
As they sat next to each other, holding each other’s hands, Lennox kept stealing glances at Adrienne, his heart swelling with anticipation. They had been through so much together, and now they were about to embark on the next Chapter of their lives as husband and wife. It was a mont he had been eagerly waiting for.
As they approached the Registry Bureau, Lennox felt a mixture of excitent and nerves. He took a deep breath, reminding himself that this was the day he had been dreaming of. Adrienne’s smile reassured him, her eyes sparkling with joy and anticipation.
"You have one last chance to change your mind, Len." She told him.
Lennox scoffed and straightened the lapel of his coat. He had never been this nervous, not when he was facing the board of directors of Qin Corporation or eting a foreign dignitary. But this was different; this was the day he would officially beco Adrienne’s husband.
Lennox looked into Adrienne’s eyes and replied, "There’s no doubt in my mind, Addie. Let’s do this. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life," he replied confidently. "Today is the day we beco husband and wife, and nothing could make happier."
Adrienne’s smile widened, her hand reaching out to intertwine with his as they entered the facility. Inside, they found Gavin and Myrtle waiting for them. It seed there were no other people around except them.
Myrtle’s eyes welled up with tears as she saw Lennox and Adrienne walking towards them, while Gavin gave Lennox a curt nod.
Adrienne gave Myrtle a hug. "I can’t believe you managed to arrive on ti."
In her past life, Adrienne married Alistair despite Myrtle’s disapproval. They hadn’t spoken to each other for a long ti until Myrtle fell under Camilla’s sche and beca addicted to drugs. It was one of many regrets Adrienne had in the past. Myrtle’s attendance today at her wedding to Lennox ant a lot to her.
Myrtle laughed, her eyes shining with tears. Imagine her surprise when Gavin Si ca to her door at dawn, informing her of Lennox’s return and his wedding with her best friend. Overwheld with joy, she imdiately agreed to attend the wedding and support her dear friend on this special day.
"How could I miss my best friend’s wedding? I wouldn’t have missed it for the world," Myrtle replied, her voice filled with genuine joy.
She then gave Adrienne a good look. "You look absolutely stunning, Addie. Mr. Qin is a lucky man."
"Indeed, I am." Lennox grinned widely. The love and admiration in his eyes were evident to everyone in the room. His long eyelashes drooped slightly as he looked at Adrienne. His face was elegant and handso, and his deanor was refined and bright. A groom who was truly captivated by his bride.
Today Adrienne was wearing a long white bridal dress her mother-in-law had prepared for her. Irina delivered it that morning, and Adrienne received instructions to wear it. Her once short hair was now flowing down her back in loose curls, giving her an ethereal glow. Lennox couldn’t help but be captivated by her beauty, realizing that this mont was everything he had ever hoped for.
Inside the registry office, they were greeted by a friendly clerk who guided them through the necessary paperwork. Lennox and Adrienne filled out forms without saying a word, each preoccupied with their own thoughts. It was a mont of pure bliss amidst the formalities.
Finally, the ti ca for them to exchange vows. They stood before the officiant, their hands clasped tightly together, ready to make their promises to one another. In that mont, ti seed to stand still as if they could only see each other, and the world around them faded away.
The officiant’s words resonated with them, reaffirming their commitnt to one another. As they exchanged marriage vows, it signified the beginning of their journey as a married couple.
Once they exchanged rings and were officially declared husband and wife, Lennox and Adrienne shared a tender kiss that sealed their union. One of many kisses they would share throughout their lifeti together.
Walking out of the Registry Bureau as a married couple, Lennox couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. They had done it. He was not just happy but also overjoyed. After being away from Adrienne for three years, this mont marked the end of their long-distance relationship and the start of a new Chapter in their lives.
Lennox had lost count of how many tis he attempted to return to her side only to be stopped by Gavin. He knew he needed to recover first, but his need to see Adrienne was so strong that it almost drove him to madness.
The distance had been torturous, but now, finally, they were together again. Lennox couldn’t wait to hold Adrienne in his arms and never let her go. The feeling of finally being able to hold her hand and call her his wife was indescribable, filling him with a sense of completeness and contentnt for the first ti in what felt like eternity.
