What if sothing bad happened? Hunter felt his entirety go numb at the thought. It was more frightening than facing death himself. However, because of Adrienne’s stubborn nature, Hunter had no choice but to trust her decision. No matter how stubborn Adrienne was before, she had never acted this recklessly before. She must have prepared a plan to convince Liam Qin to return with her to Jinxiu Garden.

Lightning struck in the dark sky and was followed by rumbling thunder. The rain continued to pour, forcing the spectators to rely on the CCTV caras installed around the race course and the caras inside the two cars. An intercom was also installed inside their cars, allowing Adrienne and Liam to talk to each other, which would also be broadcasted in the tent at the foot of the mountain.

"You still have a chance to get out of the car, Miss Jiang." She heard Liam say in the intercom.

"Is that you voicing out your sentints?" She said in a mocking tone.

Liam sneered and chose to focus his attention on the road before them. Of course he knew how dangerous it would be to race tonight. However, why would it matter for soone who had already lost the will to live? His mother had long been dead, and there was no other reason for him to continue living in this gray world.

Adrienne fastened her seatbelt and continued to chew and pop her bubblegum. The countdown started, and she cleared her head to focus on what was before her. She pulled a tissue and spat her bubblegum on it.

Since Liam was willing to waste his life away like this, she was curious to know how strong his resolve was to face death head-on.

The race was about to start, and the cars let out a roar as the five-second countdown appeared. As soon as the number turned zero, Adrienne and Liam stepped on the accelerator at the sa ti. Liam had an advantage over her and was trying to stop Adrienne from getting ahead of him.

She smiled, seeing how agitated Liam was. Despite his forlorn disposition, he was unwilling to accept defeat, especially to a young woman like her. However, Liam would never know that he was bound to lose from the mont she stepped forward as his opponent.

The mountain road that was steep and slippery was dangerous to begin with. Even an experienced racer wouldn’t dare to race like this, but she and Liam had already thrown caution to the wind. Liam was keeping her close, not leaving even a slight distance between the two cars.

Hunter was on the edge of his seat as he watched the wheels of Adrienne’s car skid on the slippery road. Adrienne and Liam barely managed to escape falling from the cliff before them. Only a few inches and their cars would tumble down if they miscalculated the distance of the road.

Visibility was getting worse as the pouring rain kept hitting the windshield with no rcy. It looked like the storm wouldn’t stop anyti soon. If this continued, they wouldn’t be able to see the road before them. A single mistake might cause them to lose their lives. None of them were willing to admit defeat to the other.

Since Liam was ahead of her, he was at a disadvantage. He might be able to keep Adrienne behind him, but it would be useless if he encountered a disastrous accident. As he pondered this, Liam didn’t notice that Adrienne had slowed down, creating a safe distance between them. Because of this, he didn’t notice that another curve was in front of him.

He was forced to drift in a split second, and Adrienne followed closely while keeping the distance between them. Hunter and Uncle Shark could see Adrienne’s face. Not a single hint of hesitation nor fear could be seen in her eyes. Her eyes were bright and clear. She remained calm despite the rainy weather, and the bind in her hand on the steering wheel didn’t bother her at all.

Liam beca conscious of the growing distance between them. He was going full speed while Adrienne slowed down her driving. This was the first ti he’d seen her in this place, but Liam had a vague feeling that she was familiar with the course. As they started another lap, he understood then that Adrienne could morize the course with one look.

Adrienne went full speed on the second lap but kept the distance between them. How can Adrienne not know this course? She had lost count of how many tis she had taken and driven on this course in her past life. She knew it like the back of her hand, especially those parts that were most dangerous. Liam should already be aware of it, but his mind seed elsewhere.

Adrienne took advantage of it and waited for Liam to lose his composure. She could hear him muttering curses through the intercom. The scenery outside their windows was quickly disappearing from their sight. Liam had never encountered an opponent like her and he regretted agreeing to race against her.

This woman was crazy! She was now at full speed, trying her best to overtake him, but Liam wasn’t willing to allow it. The more Adriene ca close to overtaking him, the more Liam was losing his patience. He flinched when he steered too hard to the right when he reached a sharp turn.

Liam broke into cold sweat. He glanced at the mirror and saw that Adrienne was keeping her full speed. She easily drifted that sharp turn and continued as if nothing had happened. If he thought she was just lucky at that turn, the succeeding sharp curves she easily passed proved that Adrienne Jiang wasn’t an amateur in racing.

"Monster." Liam hissed loudly, enough for everyone to hear back at the tent. "She’s out of this world."

Everyone shared the sa opinion as him, as they all thought this young lady was too scary to be able to keep her speed in that situation. Wasn’t she afraid of death?
