Liam pulled out a cigarette and placed it in his mouth, lighting its tip with a lighter. Adrienne frowned when she saw it but didn’t budge from her place as she listened to their useless argunt. If Liam insisted on racing in this weather, she wouldn’t have any choice but to step in.

As she gave Liam Qin a good look, she wondered if all the Qin siblings were fortunate to inherit such good looks. Samantha and Noah were still young, but she didn’t doubt they could break so many hearts in the future with their looks alone.

"It’s not that I’m afraid to lose money, but I would rather postpone this race than put your lives at stake. Who would be responsible if sothing happened to you on the race course? It’s not worth gambling your lives like this." Brother Mack asked, annoyed that Liam wasn’t taking him seriously.

Other racers agreed with Brother Mack. Though the thrill of racing sounded exciting to them, they didn’t dare to race with Liam Qin in this bad weather. Everyone knew in their circle that Liam Qin was a rascal with bonkers in his head, but this was the first ti he was daringly infuriating that no one could tolerate it.

"So what? Are you going to back off?" Liam glanced at the other racers. He sneered, seeing that no one seed willing to race against him.

"What a bunch of clowns! You are all talk! So no one’s going to race with ? Then what’s the point of coming here?!" He glared at his acquaintances.

"I will race you." A feminine voice reached everyone’s ears, and Adrienne stepped forward to show herself to Liam.

Liam gave her a head-to-toe look. He felt like he’d seen her sowhere but couldn’t recall when and where. He furrowed his brow and asked her, "Who are you?"

"I’m Adrienne Jiang." She smiled widely at him. "Is Second Young Master Qin willing to race with ?"

Liam’s eyes widened briefly before his expression hardened as he looked at her. Not many were aware of his identity as an illegitimate son of Richard Qin and the half-brother of Lennox Qin, so how did this young woman know of it?

"Miss, this isn’t a place for soone like you." Liam had no doubt that this woman ca from an affluent family. Though her outfit looked simple, it scread money in Liam’s face.

"Is the Second Young Master afraid to lose? Didn’t you say you want to race? Second Young Master Qin shouldn’t discriminate, or would you rather increase the stakes?"

Liam was annoyed at being regarded as Second Young Master. Those who knew the truth used this as an insult when he was younger. He was also Richard Qin’s son, yet the difference between him and Lennox Qin was like heaven and earth.

"What is it that you want, Miss Jiang?" He asked between his teeth.

"You’ll know once I win. Are you up for racing or not?" Adrienne raised a slender brow at him, popping her bubblegum as she waited for his answer.

Behind her, Hunter had a conflicted expression on his face. He never knew his sister could drive and was surprised when she stepped forward to compete with Liam Qin. She looked confident, but how could she win in this bad weather?

Liam stared at her before calling one of Brother Mack’s staff to check and set up Adrienne’s car for racing.

"You better not bla if anything happens after this, Miss Jiang. Don’t say I didn’t warn you." He said before turning his back on her.

Adrienne said nothing and walked towards Uncle Shark, asking for the car key. She then glanced at Hunter, who remained silent throughout her conversation with Liam. She was surprised that he hadn’t voiced his objection to her plan.

Did Hunter trust her now? Adrienne wasn’t certain, but she would like to think he was trying to give her a chance to grow and experience things independently. He wasn’t like Cayden, who used to force her to do things she wasn’t willing to do.

They stepped out of the makeshift tent that protected them from the heavy rain and waited for Brother Mack’s people to finish setting up the cara inside.

"Are you sure about this, Miss Jiang? You have to be careful with the road. The oil in the asphalt cos up to the surface, creating a slick layer on the road because of the rain. You better be careful." Uncle Shark warned her with a straight face.

Adrienne nodded and fiddled with the car keys in her hand. In her previous life, she learned how to drive after she left the Jiang family. She and Myrtle used to race after work and spent a lot of ti with others. Adrienne felt free for the first ti during that short period.

Liam was already in his white car, waiting for Adrienne to take her spot. Once Adrienne took her seat, a young man ca next to the window and tied her left hand to the steering wheel. She was familiar with this handicap during races and was accustod to it in her past life.

Hunter was taken aback when he saw his sister bound to the steering wheel. If accidents happen, Adrienne wouldn’t be able to escape the car to save herself. It was also impossible for him to get to her in this weather.

"Addie..." He could only grit his teeth and clenched his fists on his sides. He couldn’t understand why Uncle Shark agreed to this arrangent, as it places Adrienne in a precarious situation.

"Calm down." Uncle Shark muttered next to him. He had his arms folded on his chest and had a serious expression on his face. It seed that he was also bothered by Adrienne’s choice to race tonight.

"That’s easy for you to say, but Miss Addie... How can we help her?" Hunter wanted to dissuade his sister from competing, but it was impossible now.
