"Are you the ruler of Starfall Isle?"

Leo’s tone was calm.

"Indeed, I am. May I ask the reason for your visit?"

Harsi’s heart raced with alarm as he quickly tried to recall if he had ever wronged this person.

"Do you rember Audrey?"

Upon arriving in this star system, Leo had already discovered that Hathaway’s first life had been as the daughter of the Bernard family’s patriarch, Audrey.

And Hathaway had never ntioned these events to him.

Clearly, she did not want to revisit the painful mories of being betrayed by her own family.

Thinking about the despair his wife had endured, Leo felt a pang of discomfort in his heart.

Upon hearing Audrey’s na, Harsi’s body stiffened imperceptibly, but he kept his expression calm.

"The jewel of the Bernard family, who doesn’t know her na across the Starsea. My lord... do you know her?"

He cautiously observed Leo’s expression, hoping to find a clue.

However, all he saw was coldness.

"From what I know, Audrey’s marriage to Starfall Isle wasn’t originally initiated by the Bernard family, was it?"

As soon as these words left Leo’s mouth, Harsi clenched his fists instinctively.

A trace of hostility and wariness appeared in his gaze as he looked at Leo.

"What exactly do you an?"

"What do I an?"

Boom—!

A terrifying pressure, as if capable of crushing the entire galaxy, suddenly erupted from Leo’s body!

The entire Starsea shook at that mont!

Countless powerful beings turned their gazes toward Starfall Isle, their hearts filled with uncertainty.

"When did Starfall Isle acquire such a terrifying existence?"

"Could it be that the island lord’s rank has risen again?"

"Indeed, the island lord is leading Starfall Isle to glory!"

Countless mbers of Starfall Isle were proud beyond asure.

But they didn’t know that at this very mont, their island lord, Harsi, was kneeling before another man!

"...My lord... please spare ..."

He was crushed to the ground by the overwhelming pressure, his breath becoming difficult to draw!

Harsi knew his opponent was strong, but never had he imagined it to be to this extent!

It was an existential disaster!

Leo, however, ignored him and slowly walked toward Starfall Isle’s most magnificent main hall.

The next mont, several powerful presences appeared beside Harsi.

These were the elders and attendants of Starfall Isle, their expressions incredibly solemn.

"Lord, what should we do? Should we wake the sleeping ancestors?"

"Yes, lord! If we don’t summon the ancestors, the legacy of Starfall Isle may be destroyed!"

The others hastily echoed.

It seed that only the ancient existence could possibly resolve this crisis.

Harsi paused for a mont, then his face showed a hint of resolve.

He took out an ancient rune stone that emitted a faint white light.

"Ancestors... Starfall Isle is facing an unprecedented enemy. Please lend your power to save our legacy!"

The room fell into silence.

Everyone anxiously stared at the rune stone, but it only emitted a faint glow and showed no further response.

"Ancestors?"

Harsi tried to call again.

Crack.

A soft, crisp sound rang out, and the rune stone suddenly shattered, turning into scattered specks of light.

"What does this an...??"

Everyone was completely stunned.

At that mont, in the resting place of Starfall Isle’s ancestors, an elder was quickly climbing into a coffin engraved with countless runes.

With a loud bang, he slamd the lid shut and muttered curses under his breath.

"These fools! Do they want to die already?!"

The mont Leo’s aura exploded, the elder had already woken up.

But so what?

Go out and face that being whose very presence made his soul tremble?

That would be a death sentence!

The fate of Starfall Isle would have to be left to chance.

As ti passed, the strong mbers of Starfall Isle gradually realized what had happened and their faces turned grim.

Harsi slowly rose from the ground.

As the ruler of Starfall Isle, he could not give up at this mont.

Since the ancestors were unreliable, then...

He looked toward the direction of the main hall of Starfall Isle, took a deep breath, and seed to make a final decision.

"You all... don’t make any moves. I will go to et that lord alone."

"Lord!!"

The others’ eyes were red, their voices choked with emotion.

Harsi sighed, and with heavy steps, walked toward the grand hall that would decide the fate of Starfall Isle.

anwhile,

In the magnificent main hall, seemingly powered by starborn energy, Leo calmly surveyed the opulent surroundings.

Had this been him a thousand years ago, perhaps he would have been awed.

But after enduring endless tilines and power, he had grown accustod to such scenes.

"My lord,"

Harsi, now behind him, said respectfully.

Leo ignored him and walked straight toward the throne at the end of the hall.

Without hesitation, he sat down on the star-shining throne, made of starborn core materials.

"Now, we can talk."

Leo slightly raised an eyebrow, his gaze turning toward Harsi.

Despite Leo occupying his seat, Harsi maintained a respectful deanor.

"My lord, I am Harsi, the current ruler of Starfall Isle. I am not sure what offense my Starfall Isle has committed against you?"

"Whatever price it takes, Starfall Isle is willing to make ands, we only ask that you calm your anger."

Harsi no longer dared to entertain any hope.

It was clear that Leo had a connection to Audrey’s incident.

Seeing this, Harsi wouldn’t be surprised if Leo declared the destruction of Starfall Isle right then and there.

Because in Leo’s deep, cold eyes, he had already sensed the killing intent.

Fortunately, that killing intent didn’t seem entirely irreversible.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have made it this far.

A cold bead of sweat slid down Harsi’s forehead as he grew increasingly anxious.

Since Leo ntioned Audrey, and considering the events of that year, if investigated, Starfall Isle indeed had its faults.

They were certainly not the pure victims they appeared to be.

The only thing Harsi could do now was pray, pray that this terrifying being’s relationship with Audrey was not too close, and perhaps... he was only here to seek justice.

"Audrey is my wife,"

Leo said slowly, revealing the truth.

Boom!

This sentence exploded like a judgnt day bell in Harsi’s mind!

The last shred of hope he had was completely shattered.

He felt as if struck by lightning, collapsing helplessly to the ground.

Wife... wife?!

It was over!

Starfall Isle... it’s over!

Harsi’s face turned ashen, and he muttered to himself in disbelief,

"Why... why is this happening..."

Watching Harsi collapse, Leo slightly furrowed his brows.

He had indeed considered destroying Starfall Isle, but that decision would co after learning the full truth of the past.

If Audrey’s tragedy had no connection to Starfall Isle, Leo would never believe that.

"Tell everything that happened back then. If you hide even a fraction of the truth... you know the consequences."

Leo’s voice was icy.

Right now, he just wanted to settle these old grudges as quickly as possible, so he could return to be with his wife and daughter.

Hearing Leo’s words, Harsi trembled and then forced out a bitter smile.

Life or death? That would depend on Leo’s mood.

"My lord... Starfall Isle was indeed at fault in the past..."

Listening to Harsi’s remorseful recounting, Leo gradually pieced together the truth of the past.

It turned out that Starfall Isle’s heir had coveted Audrey’s beauty and talent, secretly approaching Balo, the head of the Bernard family.

Balo, eager for such a prestigious marriage, eagerly agreed.

When the Starfall Isle island lord, the heir’s father, learned of this, he didn’t stop it, even encouraging the match.

That’s where the tragedy began.

Although many powerful warriors from Bernard family and Starfall Isle were sent to hunt Audrey down, they could not change the heir’s death.

This event indirectly led to the eventual death of Starfall Isle’s island lord, who passed away from grief.

After learning that the main parties involved in this matter had already perished, Leo felt a sense of relief.
