It started off with Vanport aiming his sword at Leyhna.
"Na yourself!" [Vanport]
Leyhna puffed her chest out and placed her hands on her hips.
"Hear ! I am Leyhna Reid, the heir of the Reid house! I object to this marriage!" [Leyhna]
Vanport's eyes widened.
"Reid?!" [Vanport]
He seed worried after hearing that. Vanport sheathed his sword and looked at dwin for instructions.
"M... My lady, may I ask why you object to this marriage?" [dwin]
Leyhna pointed at Roland, dwin's son.
"He doesn't deserve to marry my best friend." [Leyhna]
dwin stood there in shock. As he tried to process everything, Leyhna was pulled aside by Fina.
"What are you doing?!" [Fina]
She whispered to Leyhna, which was kind of funny since it sounded like she was yelling in lowercase.
"Saving you." [Leyhna]
"That's not how this works! This is my family! They even support my tuition for school!" [Fina]
"That problem has been solved." [Leyhna]
Fina was stunned.
"...What?" [Fina]
"I asked uncle to sponsor you." [Leyhna]
"...You an Vincent?" [Fina]
"Yep. I now owe him a favor though..." [Leyhna]
Listening in also reminded that I owe Master a single favor as well. I did lose a bet that one ti.
"But... They're my family!" [Fina]
Leyhna shook her head.
"A family that treats you like this isn't a real family." [Leyhna]
Fina was left speechless.
"I... Why...?" [Fina]
Fina looked as if she was about to cry.
"Aw... Don't cry on ..." [Leyhna]
Pulling Fina's head to her chest, Leyhna embraced her.
"There there..." [Leyhna]
After a few seconds passed, Fina pulled away and laughed.
"You know... I never imagined that you'd be the one comforting ." [Fina]
Leyhna scratched her head.
"Yeah... Usually it'd be you comforting ." [Leyhna]
The two had a good vibe going. It was a bit weird since everyone in the church was just staring.
"That wraps things up I guess. Let's go!" [Leyhna]
Taking Fina by the hand, Leyhna attempted to drag her along. However, Vanport stepped in front of her.
"What is the aning of this?" [Leyhna]
Vanport drew his sword.
"I apologize." [Vanport"]
He swung his sword at Leyhna, but she ducked underneath and backed away with Fina.
"You do know who my parents are, right?" [Leyhna]
"...I do. However, my master's orders take precedence over my fear." [Vanport]
The guards outside the church rushed in, aiming their spears at Leyhna.
"Wow. All this for little old ?" [Leyhna]
Slamming her fists together, Leyhna set her body ablaze.
"Fina, are you with ?" [Leyhna]
Replying with action, Fina tossed off her wedding veil.
"I'm with you." [Fina]
Leyhna rushed in, evading three spear thrusts the mont she stepped forward. She twisted her body to make it through narrow spots, allowing an opening to get a clean hit on a few guards.
"Stop her!" [Vanport]
The surrounding guards moved in as one unit. However, their formation was disrupted quickly when Fina summoned ice around their feet.
"Nice assist!" [Leyhna]
Taking the opportunity given to her, Leyhna spun around and knocked out a few guards with a kick.
("Yikes... She even bent their helts!") [Solace]
I was sure the guards would wake up with more than just a headache.
"Fina! What do you think you're doing?!" [Haverend]
Fina's father was furious.
"Cease these acts right this mont!" [Haverend]
"...I refuse." [Fina]
She playfully stuck her tongue out as a response.
"Why you unfilial child...!" [Haverend]
I felt his mana start to build up, aning he was about to join the fray.
("Uh oh.") [Solace]
I was going to start joining in with my mimic form, but I saw Relton co rushing in. He charged at his father and broke through the church's walls like the kool aid man.
