"Now that you have passed the Trial of Wisdom, there’s only one thing left to do." The Great Sage said, looking at the pair seriously, Light just stood behind them.

He had no interest in overworking his body or brain during a trial he had no idea about, all he cared about was leaving the forest.

Jacob and Xenia exchanged glances slowly, then turned their heads back to the giant tortoise.

"What is it?" Xenia asked in a calm voice that made Light’s heart beat wildly in his chest.

"You must comprehend the Dao of Origin." The Great Sage announced, a soft bellow passed through the trees as the words ca out.

"The Dao of Origin?" Jacob asked, a confused expression plastered on his face.

"Yes. The Dao of Origin. The Dao that governs the source of all laws."

Jacob placed his hand on his chin, with his affinities, comprehending the Dao wasn’t a necessity for him.

He glanced over at Xenia, her eyes gleaming with excitent, either she really wanted to learn the Dao or she was just excited about finally completing the trials.

Either ways he had made up his mind.

"Alright let’s do it." He said.

The Great Sage nodded and his back began to glow in a soft golden light for the umpteenth ti. Light imdiately raised a hand.

"Umm... Great Sage." Light spoke, uncertainty intertwined in his tone.

"Yes, Light?"

"Do I get the Dao teachings as well? Or it’s just them?"

Jacob pald his forehead, a gesture he had done a lot since the other young man showed up.

"Light, I already told you, before you learn the Dao of Origin, you must pass the three trials." The Great Sage explained.

The young man stord off, muttering to himself, frustrated by the response he got.

"Now, let us begin." Shinzo announced.

His shell started to grow brighter. The runic patterns shone and suddenly began to peel off the shell, hovering in the air.

Rings of shiny gold symbols danced in the air, spinning around until they ultimately combined into one large symbol.

Jacob and Xenia watched in awe, Light glanced backwards and was imdiately dumbfounded by what was happening. His mouth hung open in bewildernt.

The pair watched for a mont, until two vines sprouted from the left side of the tortoise’s shell, bright green tendril-like plants.

These vines suddenly attached themselves to Jacob and Xenia’s foreheads, burrowing deep into their skull.

Their eyes turned white and they began to float in the air, images containing ancient mories, teachings, techniques, arts.

All began to flow into their head.

They began to hear a voice, a single deep voice, every word the voice spoke beca etched into their mory.

"The Dao of Origin was not a Dao of fire, nor water, nor space, nor ti.

It was the source from which all Daos were born.

Before there was Heaven, before there was Earth, before the stars illuminated the endless void, there existed only Origin.

All things began from it, and all things would one day return to it."

The voice spoke clearly. Xenia was beginning to shake now. She shook violently as she hung in the air, proof that she was struggling to comprehend all the information being dumped into her head at once.

Light stood there watching as the woman shook furiously. He quickly dropped everything he was holding; an apple and a small sack he had made from the hides of the beasts he encountered in the forest, and ran over to Xenia.

He jumped up and grabbed her leg, trying to pull her down from her floating position, but he only just hung in the air with her.

As much as he tried to pull her down she wouldn’t budge.

He heard a rustling sound, and just as quickly as he hard heard it, his head snapped to the left. He was instantly hit by a large floating vine, even larger than the ones that were boring into Jacob and Xenia’s skulls.

He was flung a few ters away from them, crashing against a tree with his back.

"You fucker, can’t you see what is happening to her?" He yelled, but got no response from either the Sage or the vines.

"I’ll kill you. I’ll fucking kill you!" He yelled again, just as he rushed to grab his sword, hundreds of vines shot up from the earth and wrapped around him.

He struggled and eventually his eyes changed, his left eye was black and his right eye was white. He raged, his teeth gnashed and he had veins popping out of his forehead.

He released his dark and light energy all at once, trying to force the vines open.

The vines suddenly began to harden, turning into a substance that was not easily broken.

He spent the next few minutes struggling to break free as the vines hardened, he managed to tear through a few, but they were imdiately replaced. Before long, the entire vine entrapnt had turned into Diamond.

"Nnggghhh! Ahhhh! Shit! Xeniaaaa!" The young man scread helplessly, his voice llowed out, sounding like a young boy calling out for his mother.

After hours of being trapped in the diamond seal, he grew extrely weary and passed out.

He awokened with a loud thud, he opened his eyes and found his two companions lying on the floor. The Diamond around I’m suddenly began to scatter, he gathered himself and ran towards the woman who was still shaking, though not as violently.

"Xenia! Xenia! Wake up!" He shouted, shaking her lightly to snap her out of the trance, but she wouldn’t move.

Jacob just lay silently, stiff. He looked peaceful, even though his retainer was in turmoil.

As soon as this notification disappeared, Jacob opened his eyes.
