Chapter 370: Chapter 371: Are You Sick?

Shao He could see the difficulty in her face and furrowed his brows tightly. “Is there sothing else?”

“The… the part down there, can it be restored?”

Jiang Zhou’s voice was extrely low, so low that Shao He dared not be sure of what she was saying. He could only tentatively ask, “Are you asking about hyn restoration surgery?”

Seeing the person nodding with a blushing face, Shao He replied, “It’s possible, but having given birth, the injuries to your body cannot be reversed.”

Jiang Zhou hadn’t had much hope to begin with, she just thought of it and asked casually. She didn’t expect it was indeed possible, and while surprised, she hastily said, “It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter, as long as it can be done.”

Perhaps realizing she was too excited, she quickly lay back down and explained, “It’s for the joy of the bridal chamber, I hope the doctor can keep this confidential.”

“Alright, as for the ti of the surgery, we need to wait for so of your wounds to heal, which will be about three days.”

Lady Jiang personally saw the visitor out, her face amiable and kind, yet her words carried a threat.

“This lady is greatly favored by the master of our house. I hope Doctor Shao will do his utmost to treat her. We are willing to pay whatever silver is needed, but if the treatnt is not successful, it won’t be just you who suffers the consequences.”

Shao He understood that she was threatening him with the people of Anji Hall.

“As a doctor, I will do my utmost to treat each of my patients,” Shao He replied coolly.

Watching Lady Jiang turn and walk away, he added, “I didn’t expect Lady Jiang to be so magnanimous, to care so much for her husband’s concubine, I truly admire you.”

“You…”

“I will take my leave.” Shao He didn’t have much to say, and she didn’t want to anger the Jiang Family, but she wasn’t soone to be trifled with either.

Lady Jiang spat towards his retreating figure and then said angrily, “What a piece of work…”

The nanny at her side hurriedly advised, “My lady, calm down. Why be angry with such a person? As long as she can treat the lady well, isn’t that better than anything?”

At the ntion of this, Lady Jiang was even more irritated. “There’s truly not a single thing that’s worry-free.”

Shao He returned to Anji Hall and saw such a long queue. He considered whether or not to go back and rest.

No sooner had the thought surfaced than he saw soone reaching out towards him and shouting, “Look everyone, Doctor Shao has arrived, Doctor Shao has arrived!”

Provoked by his bellowing, everyone’s gaze gathered around, and Shao He could only grit his teeth and walk in. The idea of resting disappeared without a trace.

In the blink of an eye, the people who were lining up at Yun Qian’s area suddenly shifted to her side, moving both neatly and swiftly, as if everyone had agreed on it beforehand.

Yun Qian, for his part, was happy to be unoccupied and said to Shao He, “You truly are my living Buddha.”

Shao He, seeing the smugness on his face, gritted his molars and said, “Be quiet.”

Yun Qian imdiately gestured as if turning down the volu.

Shao He, tired from a morning’s work and finally able to take a break, was about to stand up and head to the backyard, when unexpectedly, she saw two people coming towards her.

It was Shao Zhengru and i Ying.

Shao He looked at the two with displeasure and asked sowhat aggressively, “Are you ill?”

This question imdiately made the two of them look embarrassed, but rembering their purpose for coming, they replied with a forced smile, “Shao He, we’ve heard that The Emperor has decreed you to be the Fifth Prince’s Consort. Is it true?”

“If you’ve already heard the news, why bother coming to ask ?” Shao He, seeing the two of them being insincere, didn’t even want to waste ti with small talk.

“You can’t talk like that; we are also concerned about you,” said i Ying with a smiling face.

They never expected this inconspicuous wild girl to end up becoming the Fifth Prince’s Consort.

Now, who in Capital City didn’t know that the Fifth Prince was highly favored by The Emperor?

“Concerned?” Shao He scoffed.

“Yes, you see, you are about to beco a Prince’s Consort, and it’s not appropriate to be out in public like this. Why not return to the Shao Family first? At least that would give you a place to stay,” suggested Shao Zhengru.

In his heart, he was still scheming on how to sway Shao He to speak favorably of the Shao Family in front of the Fifth Prince.

Shao He was well aware of their little sches and replied with a cold laugh, “Is there anything else? If not, please leave.”

Shao Zhengru and i Ying exchanged a glance, knowing she was not easy to handle. They shifted the topic and asked, “How is your mother? She has been treated here for so ti now, we are planning to bring her back first.”

Both of them knew that the only way to control Shao He now was through Wei Wan. If they could bring this person back to their residence, Shao He might obediently agree and return with them to the Shao Family.

They also hoped to use this thod to restrain Shao He.

“No, my mother’s injuries have not yet healed. She must stay here for further treatnt.”

“Even if she goes back, you can still treat her. Staying here doesn’t make any sense!” i Ying chid in from the side.

“That’s right. Today I must take your mother back with . Quickly bring her out,” Shao Zhengru demanded, bearing an air of determination to not leave without her.

“Must?” These words made Shao He very uncomfortable. If it wasn’t for their years of failing to take good care of her mother, how could her mother have ended up in this state?

Now they even had the audacity to co here and make a big fuss about taking her back.

“Yes, Wei Wan is the Lady of the Shao Family. As long as I have not dismissed her, she must return to the Shao Family!” Shao Zhengru said with a self-righteous attitude, showing no signs of guilt whatsoever.
