Chapter 155: Chapter 156 Taking the Pulse of Several Princes

Pei Huaian spoke with great pride, “Bai Yi can walk because of her treatnt.”

Pei Jingyi could hardly believe it as he asked, “Are you the doctor who has been the talk of the town recently?”

Pei Haolan also followed up by asking, “Are you the female physician from Anji Hall?”

“Though lacking in rit, I am indeed the person you speak of,” Shao He answered calmly and composedly.

Upon hearing her confirm it herself, Pei Haolan curiously approached and asked, “Can prosthetics really enable soone to stand and walk? How did you achieve that?”

“These prosthetics are made to scale based on a real person’s feet, so as long as the right materials are used, movent can be as usual, but he cannot engage in strenuous activities,” Shao He explained patiently.

“And what about the ultrasound?” Pei Haolan asked again, intrigued.

“Ultrasound simply allows one to see the condition of a pregnant woman’s child, like the child’s growth changes inside the womb, all of which can be seen through an ultrasound,” Shao He explained once more patiently.

The others listened but were perplexed and did not understand, finding what she described to be magical.

Seeing that they barely grasped the concept, Shao He did not bother to continue explaining. As there were no machines and devices in this era, explanations would likely fail to make them understand.

Pei Haolan found the things she talked about very interesting and couldn’t help moving closer to her, eager to inquire further.

Seeing the two of them so close, Pei Huaian, with a dark expression, wheeled his chair over to separate them and, picking up so pastries from nearby, said, “Third Imperial Brother, aren’t you fond of Fragrant Pavilion’s pastries? Why not try so first?”

Pei Haolan, looking at the pastries in his hand, showed no interest and directly pushed them away, cocking his head as he asked, “Doctor Shao, could you take my pulse?”

She was now completely captivated by all that Shao He had said; were it not inconvenient at the mont, she would truly wish to go back with her imdiately to see what those prosthetics and ultrasounds were all about.

“Of course,” Shao He did not mind Pei Haolan’s request and agreed to take his pulse directly.

Pei Haolan walked around to her side and sat down, stretching out his hand.

Shao He laid her hand on his pulse, pondering for a mont before retracting her hand and saying, “The Third Prince is in good health, with no problems or concerns.”

Pei Chengye, recalling the recent rumors about Shao He, also stepped forward and said, “Since you are so capable, take my pulse as well. If your reading is incorrect, be prepared for the consequences!”

Shao He could tell that Pei Chengye was cunning and withdrew her hand, and stood up saying, “The Prince’s status is honorable; please seek the Imperial Physician instead, as I dare not carelessly treat you.”

Pei Haolan pursed his lips and smiled, raising his head to look at the unflinching Shao He, gaining a new respect for her.

Pei Huaian chid in, “Indeed, Imperial Brother, Shao He’s dical skills are not suited for taking your pulse; you should seek soone more capable.”

The atmosphere suddenly beca awkward, Pei Chengye’s face darkening as his eyes ominously fixed on Pei Huaian and Shao He.

Feeling the tension in the air, Pei Haolan was about to say sothing to break it when Pei Jingyi stepped ahead and tried to smooth things over, “Why doesn’t Doctor Shao take a look at too.”

Shao He gestured for him to co forward. As Pei Haolan stepped aside, she examined him for a mont and then withdrew her hand saying, “The Fourth Prince has been sitting too long and frequently stays up late, which is greatly harmful to your health.”

“Continuing this way could damage your heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys and, in severe cases, might even threaten your life. Thus, from now on, you should adjust your routine to sleep earlier and rise earlier.”

Shao He did not stop there, continuing, “Additionally, you should pay attention to your diet, eat more vegetables, consu less greasy food, and maintain good sleep quality…”

Shao He provided him with relevant advice, and when she stopped, there was complete silence in the room.

Pei Chengye was the first to recover, moving closer out of curiosity to ask, “Whatever you are staying up late for can’t possibly be…”

His mind instantly imagined Pei Jingyi spending nights with beauties, picturing the steamy scenes with amusent.

Pei Huaian, watching them crowd closer one after another, felt extrely annoyed and imdiately said, “Doctor Shao has patient appointnts this afternoon. We won’t disturb the Imperial Brothers during their al, we take our leave.”

With that, he began to escort Shao He away.

Pei Chengye stood in front of them, arms crossed and declared, “Today, if you don’t take my pulse, no one leaves!”

Just as Pei Huaian was about to say sothing else, Shao He stepped forward saying, “Alright, since the Prince holds in such high regard, please have a seat.”

Pei Chengye imdiately sat down, extending his hand. After diagnosing, Shao He smiled and said, “The Prince’s body is healthier than anyone else’s, and truly, no one can match your constitution.”

These words greatly pleased Pei Chengye, “Alright, you may go.”

Shao He stood up and with a aningful glance at Pei Chengye, noted internally that his health was actually not good and he even had a kidney deficiency.

As they were about to leave, they unexpectedly ran into Chu Yu, who had heard the news and co. He had not noticed the three princes behind them.

She grabbed Shao He’s arm saying, “Shao He, can we have a private talk?”

Pei Huaian’s expression grew grim, seeing that hand he almost wished he could chop it off!

“Let go.”

Chu Yu did not even spare him a glance, his eyes locked firmly on Shao He.

Pei Huaian, hand on the wheelchair, was itching to move, but he knew he had to restrain himself at this mont.
