Celitia shook her head at Shanie:

"I'm fine. It's just that when Mr. Erwin suddenly collapsed earlier, I got a bit emotional. I'm much better now."

"Shanie, teacher wants to eat so snacks now," Erwin coughed lightly. "Could you run an errand for teacher and go buy so from outside?"

Shanie looked silently at the two of them, suddenly understanding sothing.

They must have so private words to say that they didn't want her to hear.

What could it be about?

Though Shanie was curious, she didn't continue pressing.

"Then I'll go first."

She obediently turned around and walked two steps toward the door, then suddenly turned back and emphasized to Erwin:

"Teacher can't make Lily cry again, okay!"

"Am I that kind of person?" Erwin glared. "Which of you don't I treat like my own granddaughter?"

Only then did Shanie feel at ease, walking out of the bedroom door and thoughtfully closing it behind her.

After Shanie left, Celitia gave Erwin a withering look:

"You're not that kind of person? Then who was it that deliberately pretended to be sick just now to scare us?"

Seeing Celitia bringing up old grievances, Erwin had no response, so he also brought up old grievances:

"Well, a certain soone promised that the next ti they ca to see , they would definitely bring their wife! So where's the wife? Where's my big daughter-in-law?"

"This..." Celitia was speechless.

She hadn't expected that after all these years, Erwin would still be thinking about the daughter-in-law matter.

Did he really need to push marriage to this extent?

Speaking of which, the current her was still several months away from coming of age!

"Speaking of which, I seem to rember Shanie saying just now that you already have a lover?"

Erwin asked curiously, then suddenly his face darkened.

"Don't tell it's still that annoying Kristin? I never liked her from the start, and facts proved my judgnt was right! After what Kristin did, you can't still be thinking about her!"

"No, it's soone else." Celitia shook her head. "There should be an opportunity soon—I'll bring her to et you then."

In two or three days, Sophia should finish her business and co here to visit them.

When that ti ca, she would bring Sophia to et Erwin.

For "Sercis," who had lost both parents as a child, Erwin was like both teacher and father—undoubtedly her guardian.

She had already t Sophia's parents, so now it should be Sophia's turn to et the parents...

Would Erwin be satisfied with Sophia?

Celitia began feeling nervous again.

She was nervous when eting them herself, and now nervous when it was soone else's turn to et them...

Being so anxious about gains and losses really wasn't like her usual self.

"If it's not Kristin, it can't be Kassy either."

Erwin stared at Celitia, afraid she would spit out another annoying na.

"But both of them have been missing for a long ti, so it probably wouldn't be Kassy either... So who exactly is it?"

Seeing Erwin's relentless questioning, Celitia had no choice but to answer: "Her na is Sophia."

"Sophia? Just telling the na doesn't help know who it is!"

Erwin complained. "What about her status? Her family? Don't tell it's that Sophia from the Clarence family?"

Celitia's face reddened, her voice weakening slightly: "It's her."

"Huh? Did I hear wrong?"

Erwin widened his eyes in disbelief, pinching Celitia's arm as if in a dream.

"You little rascal, you actually managed to hook even the Princess of Lansca!"

"How can you call it hooking?" Celitia muttered quietly. "I didn't go hook her. At first I even..."

Recalling what had happened between her and Sophia initially, Celitia couldn't help but cover her face.

The self from that ti had been gloomy and world-weary, like a little hedgehog covered in spines.

For Sophia to stay by her side despite all that was nothing short of miraculous.

Now Erwin was interested: "Tell , tell ! This old man loves hearing young people's love stories the most!"

"Can I not tell it?" Celitia still covered her face. "You just said that things I don't want to say, I don't have to say aloud."

"This doesn't count!"

Erwin's attitude changed faster than flipping a book. He clutched his chest and wailed: "Hurry up and tell —if I don't get to hear a love story, this old man's heart condition will act up!"

"..."

How did she end up with such an undignified teacher?

Afraid of Erwin rolling around on the bed throwing a tantrum, Celitia really had no choice.

She had to clear her throat and start telling the story from entering the academy, continuing until the ball ended, talking until her mouth was dry.

Erwin even went out to pour Celitia two glasses of water, helping her wet her throat while urging her to continue quickly.

When Celitia finished, Erwin listened with complete satisfaction.

"Good, good, good story! It looks like this old man will sleep well tonight."

"What does this have to do with sleeping well?" Celitia couldn't help but laugh. "If you love hearing love stories so much, why didn't you find a wife for yourself back then?"

"Ah, personally getting involved in romance is too troubleso—listening to other people's stories is much more interesting!"

Erwin waved his hand. "My disciple has returned, and a daughter-in-law has finally been found. For , nothing could be more perfect than this."

Celitia's expression beca complex for a mont.

Erwin had remained unmarried his entire life and had no children.

In his long enough life, the paths he should have walked, the peaks he should have climbed—Erwin had experienced them all.

The only remaining attachnt was probably just his disciples.

"I'm sorry," Celitia said quietly. "For making you worry, teacher."

"There's nothing to apologize for, but if we're talking about imperfect things, there is still one small matter."

Speaking of this, Erwin's gaze turned slightly cold, and a trace of indescribable killing intent flashed across his face.

"Those three won—Flora, Kristin, and Kassy—if you can't bear to act because of old feelings, I can help you kill them anyti."

"No need, thank you teacher."

Celitia politely declined. "But it's not because of old feelings. I'll handle my own affairs. Teacher only needs to enjoy your retirent, and that's enough."

"Good, teacher will listen to you." Erwin nodded. "But you must handle it well yourself—don't let yourself regret it again in the future."

His voice paused slightly. "Especially... does Sophia know about those things you just told ?"

Celitia fell silent.

"Looks like she doesn't know."

Erwin sighed.

"Teacher might be talking too much, and you might find it annoying, but I must remind you about this point. If you can't open your heart to her, your concealnt will accumulate in both your hearts, and one day it might suddenly crack open, becoming an insurmountable chasm between you two."
