Chapter 70: Recognize you

Anna’s eyes were filled with excitent as she scrutinized Sheila, trying to figure out her intentions. If she could cure Sheila’s illness, not only would she beco famous in City A, but she could also make friends with a renowned doctor like Sheila!

This was such a great opportunity that she couldn’t afford to let it slip away to Claire! Sheila noticed Anna staring at her boldly with anticipation in her eyes, and her face darkened. Although she didn’t know who this girl in front of her was, she recognized her. But judging from her gaze, Sheila knew that the girl must have thought she was here to see a doctor.

Sheila cleared her throat and took off her hat, saying coldly, "l am not here to see a doctor, just here for sothing else,"

"You an you’re a doctor here?" Earlier. Sheila had quietly walked around the Western dical Clinic Apart from a busy nurse, she only saw Claire the doctor who received patients Sheila glanced at Anna and saw that she was dressed up and looked like a spoiled rich girl. How Could she look like soone who worked at this small clinic? Upon hearing Sheila’s words, Anna’s heart sank and she quickly explained,

"Dr. Sheila, I’m Anna to be honest, the owner of this clinic is my sister" But now, Anna dared to say that she could cure her? Were there really so many people in City A who were better at dicine than her?

Sheila’s self-esteem was dealt a blow, and she asked in a questioning tone "Are you lying to ?"

Hehe, why would I lie to you? Jack is in the hospital ward of this clinic. If you don’t believe , you can go see him." Anna said, sensing sothing and imdiately changing her tone, dissatisfied saying:

"Dr. Sheila, are you here just for this? You know, I am the one who cured Jack. Although you have more experience than , you can’t take credit for this achievent!" Anna said without blushing and her heart skipping a beat, seemingly forgetting that the prescription for treating Jack was written by Claire,

Anna kept a close eye on Sheila, trying to find a clue from her face. Sure enough, upon hearing her words, Sheila’s eyes flashed with surprise, but then she regained her composure.

Pretending to be calm, Sheila asked indirectly, "You are sisters with Claire and you both are studying dicine?"

Sheila looked helpless and forced a stiff smile, saying, "At my age, what use is there for reputation?"

"Don’t worry, I won’t steal your treatnt results" Sheila said.

"As a doctor, I’m just interested in these treatnt thods, if I can learn more, I can save more people!"

After hearing this, Anna’s face relaxed a bit and she said with so pride, "of course besides Jack, I have cured many people. One day, I will beco a top figure in the dical field!"

Anna beca more and more excited as she spoke, even pulling Sheila’s arm eagerly and urging her,

"Of course!" Anna answered confidently, "Otherwise, how could I recognize you?"

Sheila smiled and nodded, her attitude suddenly becoming more friendly, saying, "So you co from a dical family? Does that an your treatnt thods are the sa?" she asked.

Anna did not see the expectation in Sheila’s when she heard Sheila compare herself to Claire, she sneered and said, "Of course not I graduated from a famous dical school abroad. As for her

dical skills..."

She clicked her tongue and continued, "She learned from so unknown fishing village. Nowadays, with dical technology so advanced, she still insists on learning those outdated things."

"If it weren’t for her, they would probably have been lost by now."

Hearing this, Sheila’s eyes flashed with disappointnt. She was even more curious about Claire’s dical skills. According to Anna, not only was she a younger proud but she also graduated from a famous dical school abroad. Now she was a returned doctoral student, and her dical talent was truly extraordinary She was in high demand at any hospital yet here she was, working as an intern at this remote dical clinic.

It seed that Anna might not think much of Claire’s dical skills on the surface, but she probably wanted to learn sothing from her deep down. Sheila’s thoughts raced, and she quickly figured out the key point. She pretended to be surprised and said, "So you’re a dical student from a famous foreign university. That’s truly admirable."

Anna raised her eyebrows smugly and said dismissively "This is nothing."

Upon hearing this, Sheila couldn’t help but furrow her brows. Was Anna being too arrogant? But since she ca to ask Claire for help, Sheila naturally wouldn’t argue with Anna about this. So she smiled lightly and continued to ask tentatively:

"Does your sister usually use acupuncture for treatnt? Where is she? "

Upon hearing Sheila’s questioning about Claire, Anna felt a little impatient. Her eyes rolled around, and suddenly she had a bright idea and excitedly said:

"You know Jack, right? He also had a difficult-to-cure disease, but I treated him and he’s almost cured now!"

"What did you say? You can cure Jack’s disease?" Sheila stared in disbelief, shocked.

"Let’s go, Doctor Sheila! "I will take you to Jack’s ward to see for yourself."

Sheila hesitated for a mont as Anna pulled her forward, but ultimately chose to trust her. It wasn’t that she believed Anna’s words, but rather that she thought at her age, it was unlikely that she would deceive herself. Moreover, when she was at the door just now, she could tell that Anna didn’t seem to be lying because her reaction was so clear without any pretense.

Having made up her mind about this, Sheila no longer hesitated and followed Anna to Jack’s ward. At a loss, the door of the ward opened. Anna poked her head in the direction of Jack and entered the ward with a dicine packet, saying, "Uncle, it’s ti for your dicine." Jack didn’t even lift his eyelids and responded in a low voice, "Okay, I know."

Suddenly, Jack caught a glimpse of a familiar figure. He suddenly raised his head and looked behind Anna.

"Doctor Sheila" Jack was overjoyed and quickly got up to walk towards Sheila, saying.

"it’s great, I thought I wouldn’t have a chance to see you again!"

"Um, Mr. Miller, hello."

She had seen Jack’s illness before and was helpless at the ti. Jack’s enthusiasm puzzled Sheila, and she even responded sowhat bewilderedly.

One would think that Sheila had cured Jack’s illness, but in fact, Jack’s plan was to et Sheila here and talk about matters about the elder Mr. Miller and Alex withdrew his bodyguards who were guarding Jack. eting Sheila here was an unexpected surprise for Jack

Jack invited Sheila to sit down and poured water for her, serving tea and water attentively.

"I can’t let you do this, I can do it myself," Sheila said, repeatedly declining.

"Doctor Sheila, please don’t be polite," Jack insisted.

Jack stubbornly insisted on helping Sheila wash the cup and pour water until he placed a Cup of warm water in front of her then he pointed to the chair next to the bed and said sincerely, "Sheila Doctor, please sit down."

"Okay." Sheila obediently replied, then sat awkwardly next to Jack’s bed.

After she sat down, Jack leaned over to her and whispered, "Sheila Doctor, were you present when Claire treated my father?"

Sheila was puzzled and thought Jack was curious about Claire’s dical skills, so she nodded and said, "I was there, but her treatnt thod was incomprehensible even to ."

"Actually, Doctor...’" Jack pretended to be hesitant, with tears in his eyes, and cautiously ntioned,

"Actually. she didn’t really treat my father, she just used dication to control his condition to wake him up temporarily."

Upon hearing this, Sheila was stunned for a mont, then couldn’t help but laugh, contemptuously glancing at Jack.

"Sheila doctor, why are you laughing?"

Seeing Sheila suddenly burst into laughter, Jack beca anxious and asked in confusion, "Is there sothing wrong with this?"

"Of course," Sheila said seriously, suppressing the sarcasm on her face.

Mr. Miller I am sorry to tell you that there no dical knowledge in which Miss Smith used that involves controlling patients with dication. If soone really does that, it’s tantamount to endangering lives. Besides, I was present during the treatnt, and I saw with my own eyes how Dr. Smith treated him! Rest assured, Mr. Miller, your father’s health was really improved by Dr. Smith’s treatnt."

After listening to Sheila’s words, Jack was completely dumbfounded. He didn’t expect Sheila to be so honest that she couldn’t even understand his words. Helplessly, Jack had to put away the expression on his face, coughed lightly, and said, "Sheila doctor that’s not what I an I am not interested in how she treated him."

"l just want the fact to be what I said earlier."

Sheila was taken aback, then frowned and said "Mr. Miller, what do you an? I don’t understand"
