Chapter 1499: Chapter 1471: Cousin’s Energy is Infinite
“You’re willing to defy your father for her?” Matt Bailey felt a surge of murderous intent as he watched Jas Norris obstruct his punishnt of Kiara.
After all, the test results showed she had no connection to Yuzo Joel. The only reason to keep her was to upset Yuzo Joel, with a bit of the Creator’s pride in manipulating others’ feelings. But seeing how brazenly uncontrolled and defiant she was, even daring to lay hands on himself, Matt Bailey thought it might be better to get rid of her.
“It’s not for her, it’s for you. Don’t you find it odd how she’s behaving? She can smoothly shift her personality sowhere else; what does that tell you?”
“Playing dumb?”
*Cough cough*, you really got it.
That’s what Jas Norris thought, but he seriously replied,
“No, it might be that after losing her mory, she’s highly suggestible. Look, a re ga can turn her into soone else. And you, you’ve lost her mories and still have her participate in your tests. How accurate do you think the results of a test like that can be under these conditions?”
Matt Bailey initially wouldn’t listen, but his eyes lit up towards the end.
Right, if his son was correct, it ant the experint back then might have been successful, only the results showed otherwise due to Kiara’s unstable state.
People have a tendency to do whatever it takes to convince themselves to achieve their inner goals, like Matt Bailey.
He was determined to revive his wife and reluctant to accept the experint’s failure. Kiara’s unsatisfactory test results gave Jas Norris’s explanation rit, and Matt Bailey not only found her abnormal behavior acceptable but rather pleasing.
The amnesia trope is all-powerful; just bla everything on mory loss, and there’s no problem.
“Of course, if you really can’t stand looking at her, I could drag her out right now and shoot her, save us the trouble of her unstable state defying you.” Fox Cat said it sarcastically, knowing that he had been heard.
“Co back!” Matt Bailey stopped him, about to suggest a beating as a lesson when Jas Norris spoke again.
“This woman really can’t stay. If you want her state to recover, you can’t agitate her. Who knows if after you hit her and agitate her, will she go crazy and start hitting others again? And of course, don’t even talk about handcuffing her or tying her up or restricting her freedom. The human brain is delicate, a little agitation, and she won’t recover. It’s best to follow her desires, but if she were to hit others, that would be one thing—”
Kiara couldn’t hear their conversation, but as if she had telepathy with Fox Cat, she played along and twisted the wires of the lie detector into a flail, swinging it at the person she found most unpleasant. The doctor scread in agony as a lump ford on his head.
“Beneath the sky so blue and clear our bright clouds float, the horses trot below, hail to , the queen supre!” Kiara, becoming addicted to the ga, chased after them swinging.
Anyhow, she could see her cousin had hoodwinked Matt Bailey. Grabbing an indistinguishable liquid, she poured it onto a machine worth several hundred thousand, and it started smoking…
The others rushed to salvage what they could, while Jas Norris twitched the corner of his mouth, considering her the best at climbing the ladder he had ever seen. Given a ladder, she could reach the moon in minutes!
“You’ve seen for yourself, anyone who agitates her gets this treatnt. It’s no use disciplining her if her state is unstable, not even if she hits others—what if she hits you? Just drag her out and put her down, whatever happened with that Soul Particle Experint, it really isn’t important.”
No sooner had Jas Norris finished speaking than Kiara charged over. Matt Bailey’s bodyguard moved to stop her but was blocked by Matt Bailey himself.
“Don’t agitate her!”
“But if she hurts you—”
“Stop nagging and get out of here fast!”
The bodyguard pushed Matt Bailey’s wheelchair hastily, and as Kiara kicked towards the chair, sending a shudder through Matt Bailey, the bodyguard, frightened, whisked him away at speed.
Once he reached safety, Matt Bailey turned to instruct Fox Cat.
“Keep an eye on her, and don’t agitate her, alright! Later, treat her and calm her down. Nobody is allowed to play that damn ga anymore. Oh, and when Molly Palr cos back, tell her to see !”
After he left, Kiara and Fox Cat exchanged a look, and Fox Cat took a deep breath.
She nearly played him to death.
“Why is this girl so insanely hooked?”
Ordinary people can’t hold her back, but fortunately, I react quickly.
It was only when they were in a place with no one around that Fox Cat finally asked Kiara.
“Don’t you think you were a bit too crazy today?”
“No madness, no survival. It was he who first put in such an extre environnt, only an extre response is the way to live. Cousin, I know you can handle it.”
“Don’t call cousin!”
“Okay… How about ‘little cousin’?”
Jas Norris stumbled and almost hit the wall.
Molly Palr had been drifting outside for a long ti.
She thought about what Kiara had told her, to forget who she was, to pretend to be amnesiac, to walk those streets she had walked countless tis, to feel the breeze by the Seaside, to think of nothing, with no past and no future.
When she had walked enough and returned, she actually felt that this place was so oppressive.
“Miss Palr, the Boss is calling for you,” a servant imdiately conveyed the ssage to her upon her return.
“Oh— Wait a minute, what’s that in your hand?”
The servant lifted a small fish tank, “The tropical fish in the Living Room have bred so fry, I was thinking of getting rid of so.”
Matt Bailey’s control over this place had beco so twisted that even the number of fish he kept was regulated; he wanted every plant and tree here under his control.
It suddenly ca to Molly’s mind that when she was in the orphanage, she badly wanted to keep a fish. Aka took her to the River, and after a whole afternoon of struggle, they finally caught one, keeping it in a Bucket. But it died after just a few days.
“Give it to .” Molly took the fish tank to see Matt Bailey. As soon as she entered the door, she was hit in the head by sothing he threw. Blood flowed down her head into the tank, turning the water a misty red. She stared, transfixed.
Matt Bailey wheeled over and slapped her hard on the face.
“Idiot! Who let you play that Ga with her?”
The fish tank she was holding crashed to the floor, shattering into pieces, and the little fish flopped back and forth on the ground.
“Even playing a ga… is not okay?” Molly had been thinking all day why she felt more comfortable after forgetting who she was, and it was only when she returned that she understood.
What she was lacking was freedom.
“You dare talk back?!” Matt Bailey, having been provoked by Kiara, took it all out on Molly, beating her, and then abusing her like always. Molly let him have his way, but her gaze remained fixed on the fish now dead on the ground.
Suddenly, she reached for sothing unspeakable, and Matt Bailey was very displeased at this critical mont.
“What are you doing?”
“Safe period, better without it.”
Matt Bailey, hearing this, thought nothing of it and continued his business, unaware of Molly’s sinister smile.
Fish die out of water, but at least they are free for a mont. If they could drag down a few of those who caught them, that would be even better.
Maybe in a while, she should reply to Aka with an email; this amnesia Ga was really too much fun, and she didn’t want it to end just yet.
