Chapter 1497: Chapter 1469 Cousin, how are you, what’s wrong?

Molly Nan Guo was staring blankly at the character setting of the amnesiac fairy on the paper when she heard the notification sound from the computer.

An email had co through.

During this special period, nobody was allowed to use communication devices, but the internal network was open to facilitate the people here in taking orders. However, all incoming and outgoing emails had to be filtered.

In this seemingly free space, an invisible pair of eyes was constantly watching every move of everyone here. This was Molly Nan Guo’s daily routine. It had never bothered her before, but ever since Kiara had arrived and subtly influenced her with so ideas, she had begun to detest this feeling.

Molly Nan Guo opened her inbox and, as expected, saw that the email had already been opened and checked by soone else. Heh…

Matt Bailey was relishing the scene of his son pushing Emma Clark down in the hallway, increasingly feeling that everything was under his control. A subordinate ca to report.

“Boss, Akatris sent Molly Nan Guo an email.”

“Oh? What did the piece of trash raised on the farmstead send? Did she ask if Emma Clark is with us?”

“It’s not about that… Akatris wrote that she’s getting married next month and is asking if Molly Nan Guo would like to attend.”

Matt Bailey thought for a mont and then waved his hand dismissively, “Tell Molly Nan Guo she’s not allowed to go. We can’t let people know that Kiara is with us at a ti like this.”

“Understood.”

At that mont, Molly Nan Guo was staring at the screen, taking a long ti to snap out of her daze.

Akatris was getting married…

Was it to that man, the one who hit her?

She must be very happy… just like Emma Clark said, to be a happy person from now on.

A ssage popped up on the internal network, conveying the directive that forbade her from replying or attending.

People saw Molly Nan Guo’s obedient facade, but they couldn’t see the storm brewing inside her heart, emotions were on the brink of erupting.

After sending her half of the ssage, Akatris waited for a long ti without seeing a reply and asked Mario Yuno dejectedly.

“Langa, could it be defective? Our relationship has always been poor; sending her this fake ssage now, will she take the bait?”

Mr. Zoel Cohen snorted coldly from the side. A fake ssage?

The more he thought about it, the more irritated he beca. Mr. Zoel couldn’t stand being used as bait for fishing, especially the impatient clarifying expression on Akatris’s face when she spoke of the fake ssage. Was marrying him that much of a struggle?!

Akatris was just worried about Kiara; Mr. Zoel was rely misinterpreting everything, brooding in his dark corner growing mushrooms.

“If she doesn’t reply, it ans she’s guilty. This proves that my daughter-in-law’s information about JR is accurate, that she is indeed with Molly Nan Guo,” Mario Yuno deduced accurately.

“Send the second ssage. If my daughter-in-law is there, she won’t just sit still; she will definitely take action.”

“I don’t an to dampen your spirits, Youngest Brother of the Yuno Family, but as you also ntioned, we can’t rule out the possibility of them brainwashing Kiara or even altering her mory. Are you sure Kiara is still the Kiara you know?” Mr. Zoel, who was stewing in his thoughts, spoke up.

“Even if you brainwash a tiger into thinking it’s a cat, it still eats at. My daughter-in-law at JR is still my daughter-in-law regardless. Akatris, send it!”

Akatris obediently sent the second ssage.

Molly Nan Guo was lost in thought when another email from Akatris ca through.

I really want my younger sister to attend my wedding, I bought you a pretty dress, do you like it?

There was a picture attached to the ssage. When Molly Nan Guo opened it, she found it hard to breathe.

To others, it was just an ordinary white skirt, but Molly Nan Guo rembered that it was the one she had worn when she left the orphanage!

It had been modified from a child’s design to an adult’s style.

Before she could erge from the mories, Akatris sent the final email.

To those years when we had the innocence of youth, even though a lot has happened over the years, I hope that after you have road the world for half your life, you return still a child.

These were the words Mrs. Kiara had said to Molly Nan Guo during the competition, and now, under Edward Wheeler’s suggestion, Akatris repeated them.

Obviously, Edward Wheeler was playing the family card again.

Upon reading the email, the people at JR imdiately realized this, and Matt Bailey even laughed in disdain.

A person who had been with them for so many years, whose worldview had been shaped since childhood, would betray them just based on a few sentences that not even a primary school student would believe?

The people on the other end were truly naive.

Even Akatris felt unsure.

“Langa… You can’t treat her as soone with normal thinking. I think she might laugh when she sees this stuff… It’s more likely she won’t reply to at all.”

Half an hour had passed, and still, there was no reply from the other side.

Edward Wheeler was confident, “She will reply. As long as my daughter-in-law is there, she is bound to reply. It’s only a matter of ti.”

“…Where does your confidence co from?”

“My daughter-in-law is the most outstanding woman in my heart. I believe in her.”

But Edward Wheeler thought to himself that it might be worrying if his daughter-in-law wasn’t clear-headed at the mont, if she was unconscious. Then that last thread of hope would break…

At that mont, Kiara had no idea that her husband was actively trying to rescue her. She sat on the sofa in Jas Norris’ room, her face full of astonishnt.

“So… According to this, you’re supposed to be my cousin?!”

Jas Norris had explained her origins to her. According to him, Yuzo Joel’s sister married Charles Norris; weren’t those two first cousins?!

Kiara, with a face full of revulsion, said, “Cousin, you actually tried to take liberties with your cousin just now?!”

“We have no blood relation, and it’s only your soul that is related, not your body!” Jas Norris corrected seriously.

“That’s not the point… The point is, are you sure that the Soul Particle Experint was successful?”

It sounded almost like a science fiction novel, and Kiara found it even more unreliable after hearing the details of the experint from Jas Norris, which included mysticism. The two were completely different systems, and many details wouldn’t hold up under scrutiny.

“The spiritual asurent charts for you and your spiritual uncle are identical. The test results show that you are indeed his daughter. I’ve modified the charts on Charles Norris’ side for you, but the one you wrote yourself, you must know in your heart that you made it up aimlessly.”

“How could it be aimless? I was very serious when I… wrote nonsense. But regardless of how I wrote it, saying that I and my dad are spiritually connected just based on this is laughable. Zoel Cohen and I might as well be spiritual twins then. Such a chart’s reliability is questionable from the start. Has your dad gone crazy?”

When she first woke up and heard about soul particles, she thought Charles Norris was not ntally well. Now that the Fox Cat had told her the details, she felt even more that none of them, including her dad, were of sound mind.

“He is a bit abnormal, and I can’t cure him,” the Fox Cat admitted.

“But say, Fox Cat, you didn’t want to say it before, so why do you want to say it now?”

“You told before not to force myself into doing things I don’t want to do. Now, I feel it’s not forced, and I’ll say it if I’m happy to.”

In reality, the Fox Cat hadn’t told the whole truth.

He had, in fact, been a little selfish in telling her. He hoped it would cheer her up, and even if it just made her think less about that man, it was worth it to him.

He despised being called a friend.

He had thought that telling her all this would bring them closer, and indeed, it had brought them closer, but it seed…

“Regardless of whether the experint was successful or not, you’re my cousin now. Thanks for telling this, cousin.”

Cousin… That seed a bit off in the closeness he had envisioned?
