Chapter 1495: Chapter 1467: Co On, Make a Fuss
Molly Palr gathered her thoughts and went to open the door, where Kiara and Fox Cat were standing outside.
Kiara nodded at Fox Cat, “You can retreat now, ‘Protector of Flowers.’ It’s ti for a won’s conversation.”
“Can’t I be a friend to won?”
“No, you can’t!”
Fine then, Fox Cat turned and left.
“You—” Molly didn’t quite understand why Kiara had co to see her.
In this place, Kiara’s behavior was relatively unfree; wherever she went, she had to be followed by Fox Cat. If not Fox Cat, then another one of Matt Bailey’s lackeys. Fox Cat’s action of bringing Kiara over was imdiately reported back to Matt Bailey by those secretly watching.
“Boss, is it okay for her not to have anyone else with her?”
No need to worry with Molly around. Aside from the Young Boss, Molly is the most trustworthy,” Matt Bailey had assured them.
“But our previous investigation showed that Emma Clark is extrely skilled at brainwashing. We’re worried—”
“Worried about what? Even if that little girl has extraordinary abilities, could she really turn all of my loyal subordinates against in such a short ti after losing her mory? You need to be less rigid in your thinking, get it?”
He was a man who aid to be like a Creator God; he didn’t believe a girl with mory loss could stir up much trouble—after all, her test results had shown that her hippocampus, the mory area of the brain, was indeed damaged, hadn’t they?
Believing in data creates everything, no problem there.
Kiara entered Molly’s room, ignoring the wary look in Molly’s eyes, and surveyed the place from top to bottom.
“Looks like your style, quite clean.”
Twins really are different, huh? Aka’s room is often a ss like a dog’s kennel, with things thrown everywhere and she doesn’t even let anyone touch them. The weirdest part is that if you clean up for her, she would definitely not be able to find her stuff.
Mr. Zoel was soone with a mild obsession for cleanliness. Every ti he saw Aka’s room in that state, he couldn’t help but clean it himself, but then Aka would not be able to find her things and would yell at him. Over ti, Mr. Zoel also learned to stay calm.
Thinking of the amusingly quarrelso pair, Mrs. Kiara couldn’t help but smile knowingly.
“What are you smiling about?” Molly felt uneasy with her smile.
“I don’t know, it’s just that when I co to you, it’s like another you appears in my head, just bits and pieces of daily life. You know, soone with ‘amnesia’ has a hard ti maintaining a complete train of thought, I can’t rember anything either.”
Right, she had amnesia; she probably couldn’t cause any real trouble.
Molly steadied her mind. She had been unwilling to accept her loss to Kiara in their last competition, and yet, when alone, she couldn’t help but think back to the shock of their confrontation. In fact, ever since her showdown with Mrs. Kiara, Molly often felt inexplicably emotional. Even now, with Kiara’s mory loss, standing in front of her still felt oppressive. Hearing Kiara speak of another her, Molly suddenly thought of Aka.
“Another … what’s she like?”
“A total ss. Doesn’t tidy up the house, likes to eat all sorts of junk, and yells like a ghost when hungry.”
It had to be Aka.
“Heh, what a trashy life.”
When under stress, Molly would imitate Aka. Having a complete report on Aka, she found it hard to understand how soone could live so lazily, like trash; the imitation didn’t feel right to her.
“To you, it’s trash, but to , it seems rather happy. Are you happy?”
“Are you sick?” Jumping straight in and asking people if they’re happy—do I know you?
Kiara wasn’t surprised by her reaction. Poking at soone’s heart usually gets a quick retort; it’s human instinct. But planting seeds is about casting a wide net to capture the big fish; leave a seed behind, and sooner or later it will grow into a forest.
Just a matter of ti.
“I am sick, I’ve lost my mory, rember?”
“Did you really… forget everything?” How co she doesn’t seem any less capable of fighting?
“You have to believe in data,” said Kiara. “According to the vast amount of test results, I have amnesia. Don’t you believe your own big data?”
This statent was deadly.
Believing that scientific data can change everything was a fundantal tenant of Matt Bailey’s thod of controlling and brainwashing the people here.
Everyone’s faith here was built upon that very foundation.
As expected, after Mrs. Kiara spoke, Molly believed her again.
Right, she had lost her mory, what was there to fear?
“What do you want with ?” Molly asked.
“Nothing much, just wanted to play a ga with you. It’s really boring just sitting around,” Kiara replied.
“What ga?” Molly couldn’t forget how she had been killed twice by that guy the last ti.
Once before the competition and once during it.
Actually, Molly hadn’t counted the bet they made before, which would make it a triple kill.
“How about a little psychology-related ga?” Mrs. Kiara tried to push up her glasses again, only to grasp at air.
Alright, the feeling of having one’s nearsightedness forcibly cured wasn’t all that great.
But life is about learning to be calm and to adapt to circumstances, isn’t it? Even if one falls into a wolf’s den, one should still manage to pull out so wolf teeth to use for oneself.
“I don’t want to play,” Molly said, always feeling a bit uneasy about looking Kiara directly in the eyes.
“Oh, then never mind, it’s okay. Since you’re even afraid to take on the ga of a person with amnesia, I’ll find soone else— I’ll look for Fox Cat, he isn’t scared of even with my amnesia. It seems this big data science isn’t any use after all, the test results and such are completely inaccurate.”
“Co back!”
Kiara turned to face Molly with a sly smile, then spun around with an air of earnest righteousness.
“What is it?”
“I am not scared! I just didn’t want to play with you, that’s all,” Molly retorted.
“Mm-hmm, you’re inherently doubtful of the big data. That’s why you don’t want to play.”
“You’re substituting concepts!”
“I’m stating facts, but forget it, don’t feel obligated to invite back to lie down. Maybe I can dream of that version of you in my dreams. Maybe the things you’re afraid to do, that version isn’t. After all, soone who’s overly cautious and lacks a sense of self can’t compare to soone genuine and who goes about things in her own way.”
“Who says I can’t match her! What do you want to play?”
Kiara seed to hear it, the ding-dong, your fish has taken the bait, please pay attention to the line-tension warning sound.
“A psychological ga, very simple. The ga’s na is ‘Who Am I.’ Have you heard of it?”
“You’re using a ga that to fool kindergartners on ?”
Molly felt her IQ was being insulted.
This ga was not unfamiliar to those studying psychology, as it’s a common choice for public lectures in schools. To professional psychologists, it’s just sothing to entertain children with.
The content involves giving participants a piece of paper to write down the kind of personality they think they have, and then acting it out. After everyone has perford, they swap papers and act out soone else’s personality, afterwards writing on the back of the paper what they understood about the character they portrayed.
This is to help the participants understand themselves, as the self you perceive and the you others see probably are as far apart as Taobao’s product photos and the actual product.
Now, hearing that Kiara wanted to play this with her, Molly felt her intelligence and her profession were both being mocked.
Kiara blinked, “You must be considerate of soone with amnesia. I have amnesia now, and I can only rember this kind of ga. You have to trust your big data. Data can change everything, right?… Hehe!”
