“I might be too weakened from a previous bout of gastroenteritis. Maybe it’s ti to nourish myself.” Kiara felt as if her body had been weakened since suffering from gastroenteritis. She constantly felt like she couldn’t wake up, getting tired after just a little work.

Elizabeth Mu forcefully pushed the gift box into Kiara’s hands. Her fingertips did not have the softness of a typical woman but were covered with a thin layer of calluses, causing Kiara to pause.

“Yes, thank you for your hard work today. I’m afraid I have to trouble you with preparing dinner.”
With Mario Yuno working overti, Kiara had no choice but to fend for herself for dinner.
“You are too kind. I’ll start on it right away. What would you like to eat today, Dr. Clark?”
“Boiled fish—forget it, the fishiness makes uncomfortable. Just make sothing spicy, I keep feeling like there’s no taste in my mouth.”
“Dr. Clark, your gastritis has been better for quite so ti now, why hasn’t your appetite returned to normal? It seems like you didn’t used to like spicy food so much.”
“Yeah… maybe it’s a sequela from the gastritis. Aunt Liu Taylor, my bag’s gotten a bit dirty, could you please send it for maintenance?” Kiara had a chat with Young Aunt and felt tired, so she thought of lying down in her room for a while.

Kiara also felt it was strange. When she first ca back, it seed like Beautiful Lady started acting abnormally only after sniffing her. After she washed her hands and changed her clothes, Beautiful Lady seed normal again.

Aunt Liu Taylor was naturally delighted, taking the gift from Kiara and cheerfully going outside to cook. She saw Beautiful Lady sniffing the ginseng that Kiara brought back, so Aunt Liu Taylor quickly pacified Beautiful Lady.
