Thinking about Quinn Lockwood, Elias Sinclair suddenly rembered she ntioned holding a press conference, which seed to be today.

He turned on his computer as if guided by so mysterious force, preparing to see how Quinn would explain things, unexpectedly, it hadn’t started yet, and he began waiting on the side.

Staring at the computer screen, Elias Sinclair fell into deep thought, it seed he was becoming more and more involuntarily focused on Quinn recently.

It might be because he wanted to see how she clarified things, Elias told himself.

"Knock, knock, knock."

Three polite knocks on the door disrupted Elias Sinclair’s train of thought.

"Co in."

Elias cleared his throat and then said.

Upon hearing this, Joyce Krar pushed the door open and entered. Today she looked as exquisite as ever, dressed in a cream-colored professional dress, she exuded an air of elegance fitting her career-woman identity.

"President Sinclair, the information on the East City project."

Joyce placed the docunt on Elias Sinclair’s desk while subconsciously smoothing her hair.

Perhaps won often make such subconscious gestures in front of people they like.

"Okay."

Elias Sinclair responded blandly without touching the docunt, still staring blankly at the computer screen.

"President Sinclair, what are you watching?"

Noticing Elias Sinclair’s odd deanor, Joyce Krar followed his gaze to the computer screen which showed nothing, assuming it was a network issue, she inquired curiously.

"Waiting for a press conference."

Elias Sinclair never needed to hide anything from anyone, especially when there might be sothing he needed Joyce’s help with later.

Actually, regarding Savannah Lowell’s matters, he never proactively paid attention, much less intervened. Even now, he himself didn’t understand why he was doing this.

Joyce Krar felt bewildered, quickly searching her mind for the movents of major companies, yet found no results. So whose press conference was he waiting for?

Due to her position and Elias Sinclair’s personality, Joyce did not inquire further, rely standing there in a daze.

"Co watch with ."

With no other pressing matters at hand, Elias casually invited Joyce Krar to watch together.

"Alright."

Joyce replied and walked over, though outwardly showing little emotion, inwardly she was secretly delighted.

Always she and Elias Sinclair had maintained a subordinate-superior relationship, barely interacting beyond work, though they had been classmates for years.

Now Elias Sinclair was proactively inviting her to do sothing outside of work, Joyce Krar felt her efforts hadn’t been in vain, Elias Sinclair was finally noticing her rits.

anwhile at the press conference backstage.

Quinn Lockwood hurried to the scene, while Caron Grant was busy liaising with reporters and arranging security.

"Brother, how’s it going?"

Quinn Lockwood gasped for breath, taking a big gulp of water from the table, and asked.

Just now at the company, the directors and Anna had unanimously opposed, tirelessly persuading her, almost preventing her from coming.

"Why did you just arrive, are you okay?"

Caron Grant looked worried at Quinn’s hasty appearance.

With so many people opposing her holding this conference, he truly feared sothing might go wrong in the process.

"I’m fine, it’s a long story. How’s the scene?"

Quinn glanced outside.

"Rest assured, I’ve arranged security thoroughly, all the reporters are present, I’ll be keeping an eye from offstage, the rest is up to you."

Caron assuredly explained, conveying a strong sense of security.

"Thank you, brother."

Quinn looked gratefully at Caron, truly appreciating his tily help at such a mont.

It’s said that small matters reflect one’s character; when serious trouble arises, only then can true friends be discerned.

Despite Savannah bullying him in childhood, he now helps willingly, proving him a just person, Quinn felt deeply moved.

Not wasting any ti, Quinn swiftly entered preparation mode, heading into the dressing room to change.

At that instance, Caron’s phone rang inconveniently.

"Hello, what’s the matter?"

"Mr. Grant..."

The caller displayed Caron Grant’s assistant, and upon hearing her words, his expression changed dramatically.

Quinn erged from the dressing room, heading straight to the makeup table, where the stylist was adjusting her look, given her inherently good features, not requiring much effort.

Caron contemplated for a mont, walking leisurely to Quinn’s side, and said with furrowed brows, "Sorry Savannah, I might not be able to stay with you later, I need to return to the company."

"Is there sothing wrong at the company?"

Quinn anxiously questioned with furrowed brows, instinctively prioritizing the company’s matters over her own.

"The finance departnt encountered so issues, you don’t need to worry, but I have to leave. Here you must be extrely cautious, call imdiately if anything happens, alright?"

Caron advised worriedly, questioning why issues arose precisely at such timing.

"Understood, in that case, brother you should hurry back, I’ll handle things well."

Quinn intentionally made a playful facial expression at Caron to reassure him.

Caron nodded, as his assistant sent another urging ssage, having no choice but to leave hastily.

In his car, Caron still couldn’t settle himself about Quinn facing nurous caras alone, pondering over, he sent Elias a ssage.

"I can’t be on-site due to an ergency, please keep an eye on Savannah’s press conference, notify imdiately if anything arises."

Upon receiving the ssage, Elias slightly furrowed his brows, so she was alone at the venue?

"What’s going on outside?"

Shortly after Caron left, there was a commotion outside, Quinn puzzledly asked the on-site assistant.

"Dylan Quinn’s crazed fans have co to disrupt and are shouting vulgar insults, brandishing banners demanding your exit from the entertainnt circle, trying to forcefully rush in, what should we do now?"

The assistant appeared worried, fearing the dire consequences if those people broke in.

Quinn furrowed her brows, her eyes darting in thought, soon she instructed, "Dispatch all security guards to intercept outside."

"All of them?"

The assistant was shocked, what if sothing happened inside after moving all the security?

"Yes, hurry."

Quinn ordered sternly, ensuring the press conference proceeded smoothly was the priority, as for inside, except for the sharp rhetoric from journalists, at least no dia would resort to attacking.

Upon hearing, the assistant imdiately ran out.

Quinn cald herself, glanced at her watch, the timing was just right, and walked out.

Suddenly, blinding flashlights bombarded her from all directions, causing her eyes to squint.

She had just reached the stage when a few disruptive fans stord in, security busying themselves with apprehending them, the scene was chaotic.

At that mont, several unknown figures in black appeared, forcibly abducting Quinn.
