Rebirth of the Movie Queen: Mrs. Sinclair, Please Hug Me! Chapter 41: I Want to See You
After Nina Sinclair returned, she was busy with Freya Caldwell’s affairs, constantly clashing with Quinn Lockwood, almost forgetting the person in her heart.
Thinking of Caron Grant, a happy smile appeared on Nina Sinclair’s face. She had secretly admired Caron for many years, but because of Savannah Lowell, she hadn’t confessed.
After all, Caron Grant was Savannah Lowell’s nominal brother, and since she and Savannah didn’t get along, it wasn’t that straightforward.
Thinking about him, Nina couldn’t help but give him a call.
"Nina, what’s up?" In no ti, Caron Grant’s warm voice ca through.
"I, I want to invite you to Joyland Park."
A hint of a shy smile appeared on Nina’s face; perhaps only in front of Caron would she show this side of herself.
It had been a long ti since they last t, and she missed him dearly.
She wished she could be in front of Caron right now, even if doing nothing, just quietly watching him would be enough.
Though she had a lively and quirky personality, she was willing to beco as calm and collected as Caron for his sake.
Caron paused slightly, knowing Nina’s feelings. Since he had visited The Sinclair Family when Nina was young, she had held a crush on him ever since, always entangled with him. But he always regarded her as a little sister.
"I heard from your brother that you’re back. It looks like that’s true. What do you want to eat? I can treat you to a al another day."
Caron didn’t answer directly, deliberately changing the subject and addressing her as a brother, hoping Nina would understand that he saw them differently than she did.
"Alright, just let know when. I can’t wait to see you."
Nina pouted playfully as she spoke coquettishly.
Joyland Park was just an excuse. As long as she could see Caron, it didn’t matter where they went or what they did.
Nina understood what Caron ant, but she didn’t care. Even if he only saw her as a sister now, it was just because she was young. She was confident that in a few years, when she beca more mature and charming, Caron wouldn’t be indifferent.
"Maybe not recently," Caron said, furrowing his brow, contemplating sothing more important that required his attention.
"Why?" Nina was puzzled, a slight sense of disappointnt rising in her heart.
It felt like eagerly looking forward to sothing only for it to suddenly be dashed.
"Savannah has been having so issues recently, and she needs my help."
Caron was straightforward about it. For so reason, he felt it was only right; family ties were peculiar like that.
Once again, it was that woman. Furious, Nina clenched her fists. Why did everyone have to revolve around Savannah Lowell, including her beloved Caron?
Her eyes welled with a hint of red, her dislike for Savannah growing by the minute. She looked ahead, inwardly vowing, "Savannah Lowell, just wait, I will make you leave The Sinclair Family in tears."
"Nina, are you still there?"
anwhile, Caron hadn’t heard a response for a while and worried that sothing had happened to Nina.
"Oh, I’m here."
Nina snapped back to reality, returning to her usual self.
She didn’t want Caron to see her losing her composure. Moreover, Savannah was his nominal sister; she had to put on a facade, even if it was just a facade.
"Since there’s nothing else, I’ll get back to work. Maybe another day, your brother and I can take you out to have so fun," Caron said courteously, reaffirming his stance.
He glanced at his watch. Ti was running out; he needed to make plans for Quinn Lockwood.
Elias Sinclair always disliked her, and she could only rely on herself now—she mustn’t fail.
He wouldn’t want to return to those days when Savannah looked at him with disdain.
"Okay."
Caron’s urgency made Nina even more upset. Was Savannah Lowell really that important to everyone, including her?
Despite her displeasure, she couldn’t get angry in front of Caron. She could only nod, pretending to be understanding.
Upon hearing her response, Caron felt relieved. It seed that not only his sister, but even Nina was gradually changing.
Elsewhere, after receiving the ssage, Quinn Lockwood cald down and imdiately posted on X, announcing that she would appear at the press conference at nine in the morning the next day and urged everyone to look forward to it.
Quinn had no doubt about Caron’s ability, and she was filled with gratitude.
Thinking it over, Quinn replied to Caron with a ssage, "Thank you."
Few words conveyed her feelings best at that mont; she was sure he would understand.
anwhile, amidst his hectic work, Caron received the ssage and smiled with relief.
This seed to be a rare mont of joy concerning Savannah Lowell.
He felt all his efforts hadn’t been in vain, her attitude was indeed changing. He was genuinely happy for Mr. and Mrs. Lowell.
After hanging up the phone, Nina was full of unwillingness. Since everyone was siding with Quinn Lockwood, she was determined to oppose her and see who would prevail in the end.
After so thought, she shifted her focus back to Elias Sinclair, since Quinn Lockwood was currently living at her house due to the marriage arrangent with her brother.
If they got divorced, Quinn would naturally disappear before her eyes and from their lives.
"Brother, what are you doing?"
Nina dialed Elias Sinclair’s number to inquire.
"Working."
Elias Sinclair put down the docunts in his hand, seemingly accustod to his sister’s out-of-the-blue queries.
"I know you’re working, but I ant if there’s anyone you’re thinking about right now?"
Nina deliberately probed, knowing full well that the only solution was to have her good friend Freya Caldwell woo her brother. As long as they could get Quinn to leave, she didn’t mind who replaced her.
Upon hearing this, Elias frowned, "No."
Yet, unconsciously, the na Quinn Lockwood flashed through his mind. He realized that his dislike for her was quite intense.
"I don’t believe you. Have you been thinking about Faye?" Nina persisted, trying to force-feed Elias the idea of Freya.
Giving him a stern look, Elias originally thought she rely disliked Quinn and liked to play pranks. It seed she took this quite seriously.
"Have you had enough yet?"
Elias was slightly angered, feeling he’d been too indulgent with her.
Hearing Elias’ upset tone, Nina was indifferent. She thought Elias rejected Freya simply because he didn’t know her well enough.
After all, they had only t a few tis. Given ti, he would surely change his mind; Freya was a great choice, after all.
"Brother, just wait. You’ll definitely fall for Faye."
Seeing her words fall on deaf ears, Elias angrily hung up the phone.
