Luo Ning raised an eyebrow, “Who says we’re on the sa side? You sure think highly of yourselves.”

He no longer harbored any false hopes and imdiately ran over crying.

The old lady dared not provoke Luo Ning but was not afraid of Xi Shu.

As she approached Xi Shu and raised her hand to slap her face, Huo Rui caught her arm.
He snorted coldly, “Try to hit her and see what happens.”
Xi Shu’s body trembled, but she forced herself to stand up and instead slapped the old lady twice.
She said with great satisfaction, “This is what you get for harming and my sister. My cousin deserves to die; he turned out this way because you all spoiled him. This is the retribution for your malicious hearts.”
Xi Shu used all her strength to slap twice, though the slaps weren’t very heavy, they still stunned the old woman.
After all, she was used to throwing her weight around at ho and no one had ever dared to lay a hand on her.
With her hand gripped by Huo Rui, she couldn’t fight back.
So, she suddenly sat down on the ground and started crying, “What sins have I committed, to be slapped by my own granddaughter? You wretched girl, you are the one who will face retribution.”
“Fourth son, oh my! Your mother is about to be beaten to death by your family’s disgraceful child,” she cried out habitually.
Xi Shu rolled her eyes, “Stop shouting, my dad isn’t here, and you can scream all you want but he won’t hear you.”
Her words choked the old woman, and then she started crying again, demanding that her eldest son and daughter do sothing about Xi Shu.
Though the two did want to deal with Xi Shu, they were afraid of Huo Rui and his brothers and Luo Ning, so they did not step forward.
The old woman was relentless, insisting that Xi Shu should find Luo Ning to cure her grandson, while her mouth spewed nothing but foul curses at Xi Shu, eventually extending those curses to Xi Shu’s sisters, and even her own son and daughter-in-law.
Huo Ye watched the old woman sitting on the ground wailing and cursing irrationally and was utterly stunned.
He was born into a rich family and had never seen such a spectacle before.
He remarked, “No wonder they say many TV dramas are based on real life, today I’ve really seen it.”
Luo Ning said, “This is still a minority, there are more normal and kind people in the world.”
Just then, a group of people walked into the yard.

He asked, “When will he likely wake up?”

After saying that, she handed Han Lie a bottle, “Take this, and use it on him once you’re back.”
Han Lie took the bottle, “Alright.”
Luo Ning pointed at the old woman on the ground and a few others in the yard, “They are suspected of kidnapping and attempted murder and are involved with a Mystic Master from the Black Alliance; take them too.”
The old woman who had been wailing on the ground was terrified, especially upon seeing Han Lie accompanied by several uniford personnel.
She imdiately got up and with a burp said, “We didn’t kidnap anyone or attempt murder, you are framing us.”
Luo Ning snorted coldly, “You kidnapped Xi Shu and her sister to perform spells to swap lives for your grandson; isn’t that a fact?”
