Speaking of which, Wang Yaman really has so nerve. Just a while ago, she was blushing and causing trouble for Shen Mianmian, and now she’s shalessly trying to act nice, as if they were great friends.
Shen Mianmian turned to look at her assistant who ca hurriedly with an anxious expression and smiled, "Miss Wang, isn’t your next scene with the male lead? Shouldn’t you go over the lines with him?"
"I’ve already gone over them with him," Wang Yaman replied. "But I haven’t with you yet. Do you have ti now?"
Before Shen Mianmian could respond, the director’s team started calling out, "Get ready, we’re starting in five minutes."
As soon as the words had fallen, the assistant ran up to them, "Sister Yaman, let’s hurry over! We are starting soon."
Wang Yaman glanced at He Nan beside her, reluctant to leave and then glared at the assistant, "What’s the rush? Don’t we still have five minutes?"
Assistant: "..."
Ignoring her, Wang Yaman turned her gaze back to Shen Mianmian and smiled, "Mianmian, is this your fiancé, Director He? Why haven’t you introduced us?"
"I ntioned you to him just now," Shen Mianmian said. "As for him, no introduction is necessary, right? You should recognize him, He Nan."
Wang Yaman’s mouth twitched, then she pretended to be casual as she extended her slender hand towards He Nan, "Director He, hello, I’m the leading actress of this movie, Wang Yaman. Lanyue nswear is quite nice; I buy my father several sets every year."
He Nan glanced at Wang Yaman’s hand and showed no intention of shaking it, simply replying indifferently, "I no longer hold a position at Lanyue."
Wang Yaman slightly embarrassed, withdrew her hand and said ingratiatingly with a smile, "But you still own shares there, right? I heard you’re the biggest shareholder. Even if you don’t manage anything, everyone at Lanyue Company still listens to you."
"You seem to know a lot," He Nan said.
Wang Yaman: "..."
Just as she was about to say sothing, the director’s team suddenly shouted, "Wang Yaman, what are you doing? We told you to get ready to start, didn’t you hear?"
Lately, Wang Yaman had been underperforming, often causing delays, and sotis too unwilling to co out to shoot in the hot midday sun. The director was quite displeased with her and secretly blacklisted her.
If it wasn’t for the fact that half of her scenes had been shot already, and replacing the female lead would be too costly, he would have replaced her.
Wang Yaman, coming back to her senses, explained, "I just lost track of ti going over the scene with Shen Mianmian."
She then said to He Nan, "Director He, I’ll co back to chat with you later."
After saying that, she turned to leave. But as if suddenly struck by an idea, her foot twisted, and she fell towards He Nan. He Nan slightly raised an eyebrow and sidestepped, perfectly avoiding the falling Wang Yaman.
With a loud ’bang,’ Wang Yaman let out a painful scream.
He Nan frowned slightly and took Shen Mianmian by the hand, saying, "It’s too noisy here; let’s go over there."
So, the two of them moved a few ters away from Wang Yaman.
"Sister Yaman, are you alright?" the assistant quickly helped Wang Yaman up.
"Get away," Wang Yaman, fuming, pushed the assistant away and stord off to continue filming.
Now she realized, this He Nan was just a block of wood, old-fashioned and unyielding. Such a man was completely uninteresting, a total waste of her ti, and only soone like Shen Mianmian would like him.
