When Zaozao was carried out, everyone gathered around the two children, incredibly excited.

After freshening up, ng Siyu and Tang Yue, with their two children, first paid their New Year’s respects to ng Jin and Mo Xiaolin.

ng Jin and Mo Xiaolin had already prepared red envelopes, continuously exchanging auspicious and celebratory words.

"Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma, for your kindness on behalf of Zaozao and Chenchen," Tang Yue said, holding Zaozao and accepting the red envelopes with a smile. Regardless of the red envelopes’ size, they represented the grandparents’ affection for the children.

"No need to thank us, it’s our duty," Mo Xiaolin said, looking at the two children in ng Siyu and Tang Yue’s arms, imnsely grateful that she had urged ng Siyu to marry Tang Yue back then. Otherwise, where would this current happiness co from?

"Uncle ng, Aunt ng, happy New Year to you, wishing you long life, happiness, health, and endless laughter, may the new year bring you great fortune." Lian Qingyang spoke with words as sweet as honey, effortlessly delivering auspicious greetings.

"Well, you should strive to find a wife this year," Mo Xiaolin said, handing over a well-prepared red envelope.

Looking at the red envelope, Lian Qingyang shook his head repeatedly, "Aunt ng, I’m still young, no rush to get married. I should not accept this envelope, I’m not a kid anymore."

"Take it. If you’re not married yet, you’re still a kid." Mo Xiaolin placed the red envelope into Lian Qingyang’s arms and headed to the kitchen.

On the first day of the new year, it’s a ti for visiting and paying respects.

After breakfast, Mo Xiaolin and ng Jin went to the nursing ho to pay New Year’s respects to Old Master ng.

Tang Yue and her husband went to the Lian Family.

Old Sir Lian had been waiting for them all morning, frequently asking Lian He, "Have Xiao Yue and the others arrived yet?"

"Dad, please sit for a while. They’ll surely arrive soon," Lian He reassured him. Although he was also anxious, he was much calr compared to Old Sir Lian.

Lian He prepared the red envelopes for the children, instructed Aunt Wu to prepare fruits and snacks, and had also readied small beds for the children to play on. Various colorful toys were piled in the corner of the living room, full of childlike charm and joy.

When Tang Yue and ng Siyu arrived at the door, Gu Chun had already opened it to welco them.

Hearing the sound, Lian He walked out with big strides and was imdiately captivated by the two children.

He had always known his grandchildren were good-looking, but today, dressed in festive little Tang suits, they seed irresistibly lovable.

ng Siyu and Tang Yue offered New Year greetings to Old Sir Lian and the elders, receiving so many red envelopes that their hands were full.

Everyone gave thick red envelopes to both children. Even Uncle Gu Chun and Aunt Lian Tong gave theirs separately.

"Xiao Yue, when your little sister is born, you must make clothes for her," Lian Tong said, holding Tang Yue and pointing at Chenchen’s clothes, "I want to make sothing like this in bright red; it looks festive and cute."

"Aunt, you’re already assuming it’s a sister. What’s wrong with having a brother?" Tang Yue retorted. It wasn’t that she preferred boys over girls, but Lian Tong’s insistence on having a daughter made her wonder what if it turns out to be a boy?

"It’s a sister, definitely a sister," Lian Tong said, gently stroking her pregnant belly, "Sweet daughter, be good, and let your sister make pretty clothes for you when you co out."

Tang Yue: "..."

She glanced at Lian Tong’s belly, unable to tell whether it would be a boy or a girl. The chances of having a boy or girl were fifty-fifty, but what if Lian Tong was so certain and ended up with a son?

Tang Yue sneaked a look at Gu Chun, who seed indulgent. She didn’t bother to ask, knowing that, with Gu Chun’s affection for Aunt Lian, he would love whatever she gave birth to.

After a lively and bustling first al of the new year, they returned ho in the afternoon.

In the evening, Tang Yue and ng Siyu called ho to offer New Year greetings, not wanting to interrupt Mr. Tang and Zhang Hualian’s busy morning with long conversations.

On the second day of the new year, Tang Yue and ng Siyu went to the nursing ho to pay respects to Mr. ng. Mr. ng’s condition had stabilized a lot, but he wasn’t very energetic, so Tang Yue and her husband didn’t stay long.

Back ho, Sun Qing and Sun Rou were already there, and Jin Yan, Deng Lanhua, and Qi Song had also arrived. It seed like they had all planned to et.

Mo Xiaolin was in charge of cooking.

"Happy New Year, Sister Xiao Yue." Sun Rou was wearing a pink padded jacket, making her face radiant and bright.

Though she and Lian Qingqing had identical faces, Lian Qingqing often seed pretentious and overbearing. No matter how much she pretended to be delicate, her eyes couldn’t hide her arrogance, whereas Sun Rou was different.

Sun Rou, true to her na, exuded a gentleness from the inside out. Her eyes smiled when she spoke, making her presence as refreshing as a spring breeze.

She was genuinely likable.

"Happy New Year." Tang Yue smiled broadly. Although she didn’t get along with Lian Qingqing, it was hard to harbor any ill feelings towards Sun Rou.

"Everyone, please have so snacks and make yourselves at ho," Tang Yue said with a smile, inviting Sister Deng, Jin Yan, and the others to sit as she went to the kitchen to help.

ng Jin and ng Siyu were so busy, they skipped lunch and returned to the office.

No need to worry about the children with Deng Lanhua, Jin Yan, and the Sun sisters around; they were in good hands.

"Xiao Yue, go accompany them. I’ll handle this," Mo Xiaolin said briskly, preparing the dishes for Tang Yue to entertain the guests.

Wu Xin added, "I’ll help Aunt Mo."

"With Wu Xin helping, that’s enough. Xiao Yue, you can’t let the guests sit in the living room all by themselves, right?"

Mo Xiaolin’s words left Tang Yue with no choice but to join her guests for so conversation.

Qi Song seed a bit uneasy, but thankfully, Lian Qingyang ca in just then, providing so company for Qi Song. Although they didn’t have much in common, Qi Song’s new recipe learning intrigued Lian Qingyang greatly.

"You’re so pale like a scholar, better not try learning from Brother Qi, or you’ll just waste his ti," Jin Yan said while snacking, noticing Lian Qingyang’s enthusiasm for Qi Song’s cooking skills. To a casual observer, Lian Qingyang looked like a dedicated student.

"Jin Yan, don’t be so sarcastic, or you might end up without a suitor," Lian Qingyang replied lazily, satisfied to see Jin Yan’s puffed-up cheeks. Her large, round eyes made her angry look quite charming.

"Whether I marry or not is none of your concern. Better than you not finding a bride," Jin Yan retorted angrily, frustrated to the core by his grin.
