On the last day of the twelfth lunar month, firecrackers crackled loudly. Couplet and door gods were pasted up, and Lian Qingyang also bought big red lanterns. Once the variety of lanterns were hung in the courtyard, the New Year’s atmosphere instantly erged.

In the kitchen, Tang Yue and Mo Xiaolin, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law pair, were preparing the New Year’s Eve dinner, while Lian Qingyang and Wu Xin helped out.

Bai Qing and Lian Tong were chatting in the living room while taking care of the three children.

Lian Tong was about to give birth soon, so when it ca to talking about children, there was endless chatter.

ng Jin and Lian He accompanied Old Sir Lian in conversation.

Mr. ng was not in good health, and they had already spent a simple holiday with him at noon.

Originally, Tang Yue wanted to invite Sun Qing and her sisters over, but the Sun Qing sisters declined.

"Has Si Yu co back yet?" Tang Yue stepped outside, checked the ti, and heard occasional firecrackers outside while the festive broadcast of the Spring Festival Gala was about to start on TV.

"Not yet," ng Jin replied, "Perhaps there are many things at the company today, so he hasn’t returned yet."

"Then let’s wait a bit longer," Tang Yue said as she returned to the kitchen. All the dishes had been prepared and were being kept warm in the stear, waiting for ng Siyu to co back so they could start the al.

Lian Qingyang was particularly happy and excited today. This year was his happiest and most blissful one.

He had found his biological mother, and Tang Yue had also beco his sister. It was a dream co true for him to spend the New Year with his sister. In his spare ti, he road around with a cara taking photos.

Unfortunately, his mom had returned to Wangjiang County, otherwise, it would’ve truly felt like a family celebration for the New Year.

The sound of a car was heard as ng Siyu hurried ho at five o’clock.

After greeting everyone, ng Siyu went straight to the kitchen. Seeing Tang Yue busy, he washed his hands and started helping by serving the soup and dishes.

The gathering included the couples of ng Jin, Bai Qing, and Xiao Bai, Old Sir Lian, Lian He and Lian Tong with her spouse, Wu Xin, and Tang Yue with her spouse, totaling fourteen people, including three young children, all gathered around a big round table.

Zaozao and Chenchen lay in a nearby baby crib.

On a small barrel stool, Xiao Bai sat with a small bowl in his arms, eating with a little spoon, appearing particularly well-behaved.

Everyone enjoyed a lively al, and at 7:30, Tang Yue sat in front of the TV, waiting for the Spring Festival Gala to begin.

Earlier that morning, Xie Ni had called, telling her that her program would be aired around eight o’clock and asked her to watch it.

Tang Yue glanced at the ti and, seeing that it was still early, decided to sit back and enjoy the Spring Festival Gala.

Nobody left; they all sat on the sofa, chatting and watching the ti slip by. When Xie Ni ca on stage, everyone spontaneously stopped talking, directing their attention to Xie Ni.

Xie Ni wore a long red dress with a V-neck design that elegantly revealed her beautiful collarbone. Around her neck was jewelry by Kaya, whom Lucy had previously secured as Huaxia’s spokesperson. Her hairstyle was simple, with a classic design that complented her dress. Her beauty shone through the TV.

As soon as she started singing, her lodious voice was captivating, and with her graceful movents, she outlined a charming figure in her elegant gown.

"Wow, not only is she beautiful, but her voice is also so sweet. Her singing is just delightful," marveled Lian Tong, who, though confident in her ability to fight, would shy away when it ca to singing.

Let’s just say she’s absolutely tone-deaf; even singing nursery rhys might cause complaints.

"Indeed, her voice is truly moving," Tang Yue remarked, her eyes glued to the screen. No wonder she beca a legendary love song diva in later years; even though she was a newcor, her songs were already addictive enough to be played on loop.

It was past nine o’clock when Lian He, concerned about Old Sir Lian’s health, suggested leaving.

"Grandpa, I’ll co over to pay my New Year’s respects tomorrow," Tang Yue bead as she saw the Lian Family off, assuring Lian Tong, "Auntie, don’t worry, I’ll be there in the morning."

"Alright then, make sure to co," Lian Tong reminded, adding, "I’ll have lunch ready for you all when you arrive."

"Sure," Tang Yue agreed, as Bai Qing and her husband took their child ho. Bai Qing found it exasperating how ng Siyu was so reluctant to let Xiao Bai get close to Chenchen, wanting to hold Chenchen all the ti, much to Bai Qing’s dismay.

Wu Xin, alone, retired to his room early to rest.

In the living room, only Tang Yue and ng Siyu remained with their two children, along with ng Jin and Mo Xiaolin.

"Xiao Yue, tomorrow your dad and I will visit the nursing ho. You all should head to the Lian Family, but do co back for dinner," Mo Xiaolin said with a smile. Initially, they planned to stay at the ng Family residence, but since Mr. ng wasn’t well enough to return, they stayed at Jianan Prefecture with Tang Yue, as it was livelier with more people around.

"Okay," Tang Yue replied, turning her gaze to ng Siyu beside her, saying, "We’ll visit Grandpa ng on the second day of the New Year."

"Having the thought is good enough," ng Jin, aware of past issues, never said much about it.

ng Jin accompanied Mo Xiaolin back to their room, and then the family of four tucked the children in bed.

Tang Yue took out clothes to size them against the two children, both wearing bright red little jackets with a band of rabbit fur around the collar and cuffs, ticulously chosen by Tang Yue to ensure none ca loose when worn.

In terms of style, the two outfits had only slight differences, with a set of red traditional-style jackets that looked incredibly cute just sitting there.

"Xiao Yue, do you really want to dress them up like New Year dolls?" ng Siyu exclaid at the cuteness of the two outfits, as they were festive and beautiful to wear.

"If you don’t like it, I won’t dress them in it," Tang Yue pretended to put them away.

ng Siyu quickly grabbed them, imdiately dressing Chenchen in one. Chenchen’s fair skin matched the bright red traditional outfit, making him look like a lively New Year doll, much to ng Siyu’s delight.

"Stay put, Xiao Yue," ng Siyu suddenly dashed out like a gust of wind.

Tang Yue was bewildered, unsure of his intentions. Seeing her daughter dressed so beautifully, she felt inspired to dress Zaozao in an identical jacket. Both babies together lted Tang Yue’s heart!

Even though she had lived for many years, at this mont, Tang Yue was still enchanted by her two adorable children. Standing by the bed, she was eager to capture this mont with a photo.

A ’click’ sound, followed by a flash of light, made Tang Yue turn her head.

"I borrowed the cara from Qingyang. Of course, we have to capture them when they look this pretty," ng Siyu said as he continued snapping pictures of the two children. Inspired, Tang Yue joined the photoshoot, sitting between the children and striking various poses until the roll of film was used up. Only then did she realize, "I forgot to have one taken with you!"
