The mont the hospital room door was opened, ng Siyu knew, but he didn’t open his eyes. A sense of guard rose in his heart, and at the sa ti, he wondered, who could it be?

The person entered the room without making any moves.

Their steps were light, their breathing a bit hurried, and as they approached, a familiar scent wafted over.

ng Siyu’s heart unavoidably skipped a beat.

Wife.

Impossible, even if An Chong received the news, he couldn’t have made it back by now.

Could it be that my wife just happened to return to the country?

The joy in ng Siyu’s heart was gradually replaced by anxiety.

If others knew ng Siyu’s current feelings, they would definitely look as though they’d seen a ghost.

The fearless ng Siyu, who remained composed in even the most dangerous situations, was now anxious in anticipation of his wife’s bla for his injuries?

"Husband~"

Tang Yue sat down beside the bed, holding ng Siyu’s hand, leaning her body so his hand rested against her face, her voice slightly choked, heartbroken that ng Siyu was injured.

Tang Yue didn’t realize at all that ng Siyu had already woken up.

Wu Xin quietly exited the room.

"You always said you wouldn’t get hurt, yet you ended up injured and hospitalized," Tang Yue mumbled to herself.

ng Siyu: I’m sorry.

"If I hadn’t rushed back, were you planning to keep even in the dark?"

ng Siyu: Yes.

"We had agreed not to hide things from each other, but you always break your promise."

ng Siyu: ...

In his life, he has always held promises in high regard, but it was the first ti he broke his promise on this matter.

"ng Siyu."

Tang Yue suddenly sat upright, calling his full na.

ng Siyu’s heart pounded fiercely inside his chest, thinking he had been caught pretending to be asleep.

"You bad person." Tang Yue suddenly leaned close, her breath fanning across his face, she gritted her teeth and said, "You’re pretending to sleep!"

"And I traveled thousands of miles to see you."

Tang Yue spoke indignantly.

A force cinched around her neck, and her lips were precisely captured by soone’s kiss, the familiar scent was what she had missed day and night.

Tang Yue didn’t even dare struggle, fearing she might touch ng Siyu’s wounds, until ng Siyu let go, she then sat up huffily and asked, "When did you realize I was here?"

"I saw my wife as soon as I woke up." ng Siyu’s deep eyes looked at Tang Yue.

Not to ntion Tang Yue didn’t believe it, even ng Siyu himself didn’t believe it.

Tang Yue glared at him and said, "As soon as you woke up, without even opening your eyes, you knew it was and pulled in for a kiss?"

"Yes." ng Siyu nodded, clearly acting shalessly, Tang Yue couldn’t help being both angry and amused, she simply stopped talking to him, checked his bandaged wounds, knowing that his injuries were not serious, she then moved a small accompanying bed from the side.

"Wife, the bed can fit two people." ng Siyu said pitifully, "I haven’t hugged you to sleep in a long ti."

"You’re the patient, the injured one, I can’t crowd you." After saying that, Tang Yue simply made the bed and lay down to rest. She had a sleepless night and had been rushing for the flight, Tang Yue was truly tired, and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

"Wife."

ng Siyu watched Tang Yue’s back. Besides calling out a few words, he felt utterly helpless. His injuries were severe this ti, and he couldn’t even get out of bed for a few days.

His wife was so close, yet felt so far away.

How should he cheer up his wife?

ng Siyu kept thinking, feeling the rhythmic breathing of Tang Yue, and his heart ached trendously. She must have rushed over by plane imdiately after receiving the news.

The next morning, when ng Siyu saw the door open, he imdiately made a shushing gesture and then pointed to the accompanying bed.

Mo Xiaolin recognized it was Tang Yue imdiately from the silhouette. She quietly asked, "When did Xiao Yue co back?"

"Early in the morning." ng Siyu spoke softly, "Mom, make so delicious food, Xiao Yue loves fish, and also likes to drink old duck soup."

"Don’t worry, I can make all these. What would you like to eat? I’ll go make it for you," Mo Xiaolin asked gently.

"I’ll have porridge, buy so soy milk and youtiao, and also at buns."

ng Siyu listed what Tang Yue liked. Xiao Yue always said soy milk and youtiao were the perfect combination.

When Tang Yue woke up, it was to the fragrance of soy milk. Seeing Mo Xiaolin, she greeted happily, having barely eaten yesterday, she was really hungry. It took her a while to rember Wu Xin.

"Oh no." Tang Yue went to look for Wu Xin, who was standing in the corridor. Embarrassed, she said, "Wu Xin, I forgot you just ca back to the country. How about you go ho and rest with my mother-in-law? I need to take care of Si Yu here in the hospital."

"Mom, this is Wu Xin, my friend, could you..." Tang Yue felt a bit embarrassed.

Mo Xiaolin took over all the tasks and said, "Xiao Yue, you just stay here and accompany Si Yu."

After speaking, Mo Xiaolin left with Wu Xin, leaving ng Siyu and Tang Yue alone in the room.

Soon, the doctor ca for a ward round and reported the condition was stable. Tang Yue’s heart finally settled. Not long after the doctor left, a nurse ca to give ng Siyu an injection.

The ward fell silent again.

"Wife, I was wrong; I shouldn’t have kept it from you." ng Siyu admitted his mistake directly.

"Yes, if I hadn’t co back, you wouldn’t have planned to tell , would you?" Tang Yue folded her arms, nearly furious with him. She inquired a little about that day’s events. If it weren’t for that dream, she wouldn’t have known that her husband had skirted so close to death.

"I was wrong." ng Siyu bowed his head, his dark head visible. Even though she couldn’t see his expression, Tang Yue unexpectedly felt his mood was low.

"Ah..."

Suddenly, ng Siyu held his injured area and cried out.

Tang Yue, who had been maintaining a composed deanor, crumbled in a second. She rushed forward, anxiously asking, "What’s wrong, does the wound hurt? I will call the doctor."

"Wife." ng Siyu extended his long arm, pulling her into his embrace and held her tight.

Tang Yue’s hands hovered in the air, afraid to touch ng Siyu, knowing the wound was right where her hand was.

"I didn’t an to hide it from you, I just didn’t want to worry you. But wife, how did you find out I was injured?" ng Siyu changed the subject and asked back.

Tang Yue fell silent. Should she ntion the dream?

That dream was too mystical. She didn’t know how to explain it.

"Wife, An Chong’s ssage couldn’t have been so fast. How did you know?" ng Siyu lowered his head, his dark eyes staring into hers, countless possibilities swirling in his mind.

"That..."

Tang Yue’s eyes darted around, unsure of how to explain.

"It must be because our hearts are connected." ng Siyu cheerfully offered a reason.
