Early morning, just as it was getting light, Tang Yue found Li Wei.

"Miss Tang, you’re up early." Li Wei looked at Tang Yue with a smile.

Tang Yue asked, "Li Wei, I want to go to the downtown area, how do I get there?"

"Take the car, the procurent vehicle is still there, not sure if Brother Mo is going." Li Wei said, and then planned to find Mo Siyu.

At that mont, Mo Siyu was sitting in his wheelchair, supervising Tang Jun and a few others.

"Don’t, don’t tell him, I just want to go around by myself." Tang Yue quickly refused, handed over a letter, not giving Li Wei a chance to refuse, and coincidentally, a departing truck arrived. Tang Yue, with her backpack, got on the truck, and left.

Li Wei stood where he was, troubled as he watched the truck leave only a shadow, and eventually, even the shadow disappeared. He was conflicted, "Should I tell Brother Mo? Or should I tell Brother Mo?"

Li Wei stood there for a while, then went to find Mo Siyu. Mo Siyu was training new workers, and even seated in a wheelchair, Mo Siyu remained imposing and unapproachable.

Even if they gave it their all, the new workers couldn’t hurt Mo Siyu at all. Mo Siyu sat firmly in his wheelchair and easily subdued the new employee.

"Brother Mo, oh Brother Mo, it’s not that I didn’t report it." Li Wei muttered to himself.

By the ti Mo Siyu was free, more than an hour had passed. His expression darkened when he learned Tang Yue had gone out by herself.

Li Wei cautiously said, "Brother Mo, I really tried to stop little sister-in-law, but couldn’t keep her."

"Did she leave any ssage?" Mo Siyu asked.

It had been over an hour since she had left, and she was almost in the downtown area.

Li Wei shook his head, then rembered, "She left a letter."

Mo Siyu gave him a cold look.

Li Wei hurriedly handed the letter over.

The letter was opened, a few short lines, mainly that she had gone out, would return in the evening, and also said, if he lied to her again, she would make him unable to find her.

"Xiao Yue."

Mo Siyu felt both angry and helpless, and glared at Li Wei saying, "You couldn’t have followed her?"

Li Wei realized belatedly, right, little sister-in-law was alone in the downtown area, wouldn’t it be dangerous?

If he had stubbornly followed her, having his accompany by little sister-in-law’s side would have been safer.

It’s over, it’s over, how could he be so stupid? If little sister-in-law really had sothing happen to her, not to ntion Brother Mo killing him, he himself would have the heart to kill himself.

"Never mind, it’s not your fault, Xiao Yue is very decisive; the things she wants to do, nobody can stop her. She’s clever, nothing will happen to her." Mo Siyu’s words were hard to tell whether he was comforting Li Wei or himself.

Downtown.

This was the first ti in Tang Yue’s life she ca to Jing City, but in her past life, she had been here many tis.

Back then, she self-studied fashion design and always handled clothing design matters well, and later, when she beca an English translator, she also visited Jing City.

She was not unfamiliar with Jing City, but definitely not very familiar.

Tang Yue took the bus to the most bustling part of Jing City, and to Jing City’s future business center—Jiangjin.

Today, she wore a shirt adorned with a bowtie and paired it with black pants. The material of the pants was cool and breezy, perfect for sumr as it wasn’t hot at all.

Thankfully, when she left the house, Zhang Hualian had packed all the clothes she usually wore. Zhang Hualian seed to want to pack everything in the house for her.

From toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap, everything was packed, not to ntion small items like towels.

Carrying a small bag, Jiangjin was not as upscale as in future years, but in 1988, it was still the most bustling area. Many famous shops of the later years could find their predecessors here.

Tang Yue’s goal today was to find high-end clothing stores to see what the upscale clothing looked like in Jing City today.

Tang Yue, with her small bag, entered several clothing stores, many of which were high-end and foreign. In later years, these would beco very famous brands. Tang Yue just looked around in these stores and then left.

After shopping around for half the day, Tang Yue grabbed a quick bite and continued her search until her eyes settled on a particular clothing store.

Star Bright.

The store’s na was short and in a sea of clothing stores, it stood out as particularly eye-catching. The decor was clearly high-end and luxurious, indicating the owner’s intention to establish an upscale brand.

When Tang Yue walked in, a clerk sitting at the register greeted her and then ca forward to ask if she was interested in any clothes.

Tang Yue checked out the clothes and found that they were not even as attractive as those from Mingyue Clothing Factory. No wonder this big store, situated on a bustling street, had not a single custor.

The clothes here focused on high-end luxury, but were overly luxurious and looked cumberso.

After the clerk made so polite inquiry and saw that Tang Yue had no intention of trying anything on, she simply smiled and remained silent by her side.

Soon, the door opened, and a woman adorned in a dress with gold stripes and bright red high heels entered. The woman’s eyes lit up when she saw Tang Yue, excitedly exclaiming, "Miss, are you looking to buy clothes? Our store has many beautiful styles, which one do you like?"

Tang Yue looked at the woman, finding herself at a loss for words. The woman was quite beautiful, so why did she make herself look like this?

Her black hair was styled in the shape of instant noodles and dyed a golden color, resembling the ’Golden Lion King’ from television shows.

"This piece looks good," the woman said, holding the clothing up to Tang Yue.

"Boss," the clerk respectfully called out.

Tang Yue realized that this was the owner of Star Bright.

She hadn’t expected the store to be run by a girl not much older than herself, probably from a wealthy family who wanted to start her own business, but her taste in fashion was questionable.

Tang Yue thought to herself.

The woman continued, "Miss, why don’t you try this one on?" She enthusiastically pushed Tang Yue into the fitting room and brought over a bright red dress embellished with shiny beads. The dress itself was quite pretty, but it was ruined because there were too many beads, almost as if the entire dress was covered in beads.

Tang Yue tried it on and ca out.

The woman shook her head, "Not good-looking."

The woman then picked another piece for Tang Yue.

Tang Yue tried it on as well.

The woman kept changing the clothes, one after another, looking at Tang Yue as if she could never find anything suitable. Tang Yue felt it was enough and put on her original clothes, a simple white shirt with a black bowtie at the neck, looking pure yet captivating. The black pants completed a refreshing and eye-catching look.

"Miss, you look best in this outfit," the woman clapped her hands and praised.

A clerk nearby whispered, "Boss, she’s wearing her own clothes."
