"Is this what you said?" Tang Yue’s eyes instantly lit up, and she revealed a sweet smile, stretching out a slender finger, she said word by word: "From now on, whether good or bad, you are not allowed to lie to ."

"Don’t hurry to answer, if you can’t do it, I won’t let it go so easily!" Tang Yue kindly reminded him.

"Hmm." Mo Siyu nodded and said, "Xiao Yue, from now on, good or bad, I won’t lie to you."

"You’re not swearing?" Tang Yue mumbled after a mont’s realization.

"If swearing were useful, then why would there still be so many people betraying their oaths?" Mo Siyu retorted.

Tang Yue murmured: "That’s true, then my three-Chapter agreent is useless."

She puffed up her cheeks in frustration, this matter couldn’t just be let go.

"Then marry quickly, and I will prove it with ti," Mo Siyu said like a big bad wolf luring Little Red Riding Hood.

Tang Yue glared at him, reminding him, "I’m only eighteen this year, just an adult, are you sure you can marry ?"

"Why not?" Mo Siyu laughed: "We can get engaged first, then get married. That way, everyone will know that you’re my fiancée, and you can’t run away."

Mo Siyu looked so eager as if he was afraid Tang Yue would run away.

Tang Yue simply couldn’t be bothered with him and changed the subject: "So, are we going back to the motor pool now? Or shall we walk around?"

"Xiao Yue, what I just said is true." Mo Siyu said earnestly.

"The two-year promise has not yet been reached," Tang Yue said cheerfully, feeling sweet inside.

On the way back, Tang Yue saw a place selling magazines, and she bought quite a few to pass the ti in the dormitory. She also went to the market and bought lots of vegetables, planning to make a delicious al in the evening.

As soon as she returned to the motor pool, Tang Yue borrowed the canteen’s stove and began cooking dinner.

She first stewed a big pot of bone soup. Though it might not be a huge nourishnt for Mo Siyu, at least it was sothing nutritious.

For pork belly, she planned to stew it with potatoes to make red braised pork, with potatoes mixed in to reduce the greasiness.

Seeing her favorite little loaches on sale, she couldn’t help but buy them—fried and then stir-fried, the taste was simply incredible.

Then she prepared a smashed cucumber salad, stir-fried bean sprouts, and Mapo Tofu. With aty and vegetarian dishes, and plentiful portions, it was enough for seven or eight people to eat.

Worried that their training was exhausting and they wouldn’t have enough to eat, Tang Yue made especially large portions for each dish.

She organized these dishes thodically. Mo Siyu, sitting in the wheelchair, watched Tang Yue busily working in the kitchen the entire ti. Every dish, from washing to final cooking, was made by Tang Yue’s own hands.

The big bone stewed with Chinese yam—the two large marrow bones were all stewed in one big pot. As it cooked for a long ti, the aty aroma filled the kitchen.

The fragrance of red braised pork with potatoes made everyone want to swallow their saliva with envy.

"Little sister-in-law is really amazing," Xue Le exclaid excitedly. He always looked up to Brother Mo, and now, seeing Brother Mo’s girl, he joined everyone in calling her little sister-in-law.

Last ti, a rumor spread in the family quarters that Brother Mo’s girl was ugly, and Xue Le even got into an argunt with soone about it.

At this mont, Brother Mo’s sweetheart has arrived, looking like a little fairy. Xue Le admires Brother Mo even more now.

Hearing that the little sister-in-law is going to cook herself, Xue Le is the most excited, even thinking of helping out. But as it turns out, the little sister-in-law is extrely adept and at ease doing it all by herself. The aroma of the stewed at practically lures out everyone’s inner glutton.

Before dinner ti even arrives, the word about Tang Yue’s excellent cooking skills has spread throughout the motorcade.

"Typical of soone from the countryside," Jiang Beini finally finds a flaw in Tang Yue, clutching onto this point as if she can’t wait for everyone to know that Tang Yue is from a rural area.

Ruan Xiuxiu just smiles and doesn’t say anything, for she is also from the countryside.

Many family mbers in the motorcade co from rural areas. With that one sentence, Jiang Beini has managed to offend a whole group of people, and yet she continues, oblivious to the impact of her words.

At dinner, Tang Yue finally gets to see Tang Jun and the other two. Just a single day has gone by and the three look as though they’ve tanned significantly. Seeing the dishes on the table, the three of them fill their bowls to the brim and gobble down their food like hungry wolves.

Tang Yue is truly having her eyes opened.

It’s not just Li Wei, Zhao Xiangqian, and Yan Dong; they eat with bowls too.

There’s an additional person tonight, Qin Anhao, who appears refined, quietly serving himself food, yet his movents are incredibly swift.

"Delicious."

Letting out a satisfied belch, Tang Jun feels like he’s finally co back to life after being exhausted.

"Xiao Jun, had enough to eat?" Tang Yue asks, relieved that she prepared extra food when shopping since the dishes are disappearing fast. It would have been very awkward if there hadn’t been enough.

"Full," Tang Jun stands up and says, "Sis, let’s take a walk to help the food settle."

"Sure," Tang Yue nods, understanding what Tang Jun wants to discuss. She doesn’t refuse, knowing that Li Wei and the others can look after Mo Siyu, so she doesn’t have to worry.

"Sis, are you really dating Brother Mo?" Even knowing the fact, Tang Jun still wants to hear it directly from Tang Yue.

Tang Yue nods and says, "Xiao Jun, I don’t want to deceive you, but can you keep a secret for your sister?"

Tang Yue clasps her hands together in a pleading gesture, looking earnestly at Tang Jun, explaining, "I’m about to be in my final year of high school. Mom and Dad definitely wouldn’t allow to date, and besides, Mo Siyu and I have agreed to talk about dating only after getting into university."

"Sis, but you’re about to be in the most critical year of high school. Won’t it affect your studies?" Tang Jun looks at Tang Yue with concern.

He can’t bear to reject Tang Yue’s request, but he feels that deceiving their parents isn’t right.

"Xiao Jun, don’t worry. I’ve always been a good student and won’t slip up. This is just a special case," Tang Yue reassures him, finally getting Tang Jun’s agreent.

As for getting Zhang Qiang and Wei Jiajie on board, Tang Yue approaches it simply and directly: agree to stay in the motorcade for a few days, or else go back ho imdiately.

Exhausted, Zhang Qiang and Wei Jiajie don’t want to leave at all. They nod incessantly, fearing that if they agree too slowly, Tang Yue might change her mind.

That night, Tang Yue goes straight back to her room without seeing Mo Siyu. Even when Mo Siyu sends ssages through Li Wei, Tang Yue acts as if she hasn’t seen them. She flips through magazines in her room, and her eyes suddenly light up.

She takes out drawing paper from her backpack and starts to work on her design drafts. This ti, her designs are set to follow a high-end path, significantly distinct from the mass-market in both material and design.
