"Is this another childhood friend of yours?"
After Chu Huaijin left, Jian Xing looked at ng Shuqing with a full dose of curiosity.
"Didn’t I say he’s the son of my mom’s good friend?" ng Shuqing couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
"But he likes you." Jian Xing replied without a second thought; during their al just now, Chu Huaijin was so attentive, his gaze had never left ng Shuqing.
Moreover, when Chu Huaijin looked at ng Shuqing, the deep affection was evident even to an outsider like her who’d only t them once—it was palpable.
"I don’t like him."
ng Shuqing replied without thinking.
"Wanna play a ga?" Jian Xing didn’t dwell on the Chu Huaijin matter much, just waved her phone.
"Sure."
ng Shuqing raised an eyebrow, her favorite pasti was gaming.

"Chenchen, did you join the welco party?" Jian Xing caught up with ng Shuqing with a little run, saying, "Didn’t you say you weren’t interested in this? Plus, you signed up for a piano piece."
Speaking of the piano piece, Jian Xing’s expression turned slightly odd.
If it were a regular piano piece, Jian Xing wouldn’t be worried at all; but this was Liszt’s "Dream of Love Chapter 3," not sothing you can play just by knowing a bit of piano.
Besides, it’s the welco party; if the piano performance isn’t good, it could be very embarrassing.
"I didn’t register."
ng Shuqing was sure she hadn’t signed up; she always disliked such attention-seeking activities.
"But the list is out; check the forum." Jian Xing was now certain soone had set up ng Shuqing, she anxiously asked, "Chenchen, you can play the piano, right? Did you offend soone?"
"No." ng Shuqing answered without thinking; she’s been low-key at school.
Jian Xing couldn’t help but pull a wry smile, Granny ng, you might not have offended anyone, but others were too jealous!
ng Shuqing quickly logged into the forum; her na was clearly listed in the welco party program lineup, and it was for the piano piece "Dream of Love Chapter 3."
"Why didn’t they pick dance for ?" ng Shuqing scoffed, exited the forum, relaxed and not worried at all.
"With your figure, just wearing a dance costu and moving a bit would already be beautiful, right?" Jian Xing appraised ng Shuqing’s figure, appearing like that of a model, coupled with her radiant and captivating face, even without dancing, she’d look stunning.
Surely, if they wanted to embarrass ng Shuqing, they’d choose sothing she couldn’t do.
However, how could they be certain ng Shuqing couldn’t play the piano?
Jian Xing couldn’t figure it out either.
"Perhaps, they assu soone like , from an ordinary background, wouldn’t know how?" ng Shuqing grinned.
Seeing her relaxed deanor, Jian Xing knew she was fine, her previously tense heart suddenly eased, "Who signed you up?"
"Besides Tan Lili, who else?" ng Shuqing knew full well, besides that white swan with her eyes on top of her head, no one else would do sothing so... foolish.
"I genuinely feel sorry for her, giving my Granny ng such a chance to shine." Jian Xing looked at ng Shuqing with full confidence.
"Aren’t you scared I won’t be able to play this piece?"
ng Shuqing retorted.
Jian Xing replied imdiately: "Impossible, you’re so skilled at gas; this piece is a piece of cake for you."
"Playing gas and playing the piano are completely different!" ng Shuqing couldn’t help but twitch her lips; was there any connection between gaming and piano playing?
"Hehe."
Jian Xing leaned forward, smiling mischievously, "Granny ng, don’t know if I have the honor to hear you play the piano?"
Jian Xing’s gaze fell on ng Shuqing’s slender fingers; her hands seed born for the piano.
"Go on, listen by yourself." ng Shuqing stuffed her phone in her pocket, grabbed Jian Xing, and said, "Let’s go to your place."
"You cook?"
Jian Xing’s eyes sparkled, looking at her.
ng Shuqing paused and asked, "Fried rice?"
"Dish, I want dishes, and rice." Jian Xing thought of the fried rice from last ti; though the taste was okay, she was still curious about ng Shuqing’s cooking skills.
"Haha~"
ng Shuqing laughed, saying, "I dare cook, do you dare eat?"
Jian Xing blinked her eyes and said, "Fine, let’s not tornt my stomach; I’ll cook."
Jian Xing accepted the reality.
The two enthusiastically bought a bunch of groceries and went ho; although ng Shuqing couldn’t cook, she was passable as a helper.
"Star, you’re really my lucky star!" ng Shuqing looked at the table full of dishes, face full of happiness.
"Play the piano." Jian Xing really wanted to hear ng Shuqing play.
ng Shuqing: "..."
How co the topic still loops back to the piano?
The sumptuous dinner greatly stimulated ng Shuqing’s appetite.
"Delicious!"
ng Shuqing felt completely satisfied, patting her full stomach; this al with Jian Xing was truly fulfilling.
In no ti, the two cleaned up the dishes thoroughly, even washed so fruits.
On the balcony, the wind blowing, the two sat together chatting, they were delighted just thinking about it.
Choosing Beiyang was certainly a correct decision, making a friend like Jian Xing.
"Chenchen."
"Granny ng."
"Should we play the piano now?"
Jian Xing’s words made ng Shuqing retract her earlier thought.
"No piano here; it’s late and could disturb others." ng Shuqing thought she’d try to dodge it and said, "Tomorrow, I’ll play for you tomorrow."
"Hehe."
Jian Xing smiled brightly.
Despite the pretty smile, ng Shuqing felt a bad premonition.
Sure enough, proving true the next mont!
Not only was there a piano room, but the room was also soundproofed; not to ntion it’s only eight, even at eleven or twelve, playing wouldn’t disturb others.
"You must really love the piano?" ng Shuqing couldn’t help but marvel; she couldn’t even be lazy.
However, the piano room’s arrangent cheered her up; placed in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, sitting at the piano, she could see the beautiful night scene outside, sparking her interest to play.
She sat down, tested the sound, and poured out a lively Canon.
Listening to the piano music, Jian Xing thoroughly relaxed; she sat beside, poured a little wine, drank while appreciating the music, a beauty, a view and delightful sounds, Jian Xing felt ecstatic; this dinner was worthwhile!
