"Mom, don’t worry, no matter how big the problem, I won’t seek death." Tang Yue playfully blinked her eyes. Having lived once again, she cherished her little life very much!

Tang Yue chatted with Zhang Hualian and her daughter, and when it was almost ti for Zhang Hualian to pick up the kids, she heard the voices of the children returning.

"Mommy, I’m back!"

Chenchen’s soft voice rang out as she ran towards her with her little braids bouncing.

Perhaps she ran over from the studio, as Chenchen’s little face was flushed and she was panting heavily. Who knows how fast the little girl had been running?

"Chenchen, slow down!"

Tang Yue opened her arms and gave Chenchen a full hug, gently smoothing out her little braids that had gotten ssy from running.

"Who picked you up?" Tang Yue asked.

Chenchen tightly hugged Tang Yue’s neck and grinned, "Uncle, Uncle picked up, and he brought sothing delicious."

Chenchen waved the bag in her hand, saying, "Mommy, it’s yummy, for you to eat."

Chenchen specifically brought it back to share with her mother.

"Xiao Yang took you to buy this, didn’t he?" Tang Yue’s eyes fell on the roast duck, instantly knowing who picked them up.

Chenchen loved roast duck. Whenever Lian Qingyang picked her up, he either bought roast duck or other snacks, keeping Chenchen plump.

"Mhm, mhm." Chenchen licked her lips and said, "Mommy, cut it, I want to eat."

"Sis, I brought Zaozao and Chenchen back."

Lian Qingyang followed behind Zaozao. Compared to Chenchen’s lively deanor, Zaozao was much more poised. If he grew his hair out, he’d seem even more reserved than Chenchen, who was a girl.

"You, stop buying them food all the ti. Chenchen’s almost too chubby to carry." Tang Yue glanced sideways at him. In their childhood, they couldn’t afford these treats, but Zaozao and Chenchen had never gone without, whether it’s toys or food, since they were born.

"I’m not chubby." Chenchen pouted, unhappily looking at her mother. She didn’t like being called fat.

"You’re not chubby? Look at that round little face." Tang Yue teased Chenchen on purpose.

In reality, Chenchen wasn’t considered fat. Apart from her round baby-fat cheeks, she wasn’t carrying much extra weight, nowhere near ’chubby’.

"Mommy’s an." Chenchen’s little mouth puckered up, ready to cry at any mont, making Lian Qingyang feel very sorry for her.

Lian Qingyang hugged Chenchen, comforting and playing with her.

"Xiao Yue, Chenchen’s not the least bit chubby." Zhang Hualian gave Tang Yue a look. Chenchen was just fine, neither fat nor thin. Yet Tang Yue insisted on teasing her, and seeing Chenchen’s pitiful little face, Zhang Hualian added, "Xiao Yue, you’re Chenchen’s mother, do you really want to make her cry?"

Tang Yue: ...

Oh, co on, you’re my mom. I just teased my daughter a bit, is that really necessary?

At night, Tang Yue pitifully recounted the incident, saying, "My mom only has eyes for Chenchen and Zaozao now, she doesn’t see as her daughter anymore."

Tang Yue pouted, blinking her beautiful big eyes at Si Yu.

"Chenchen might be a bit chubby, let’s have her eat a bit less from now on." Si Yu playfully twirled her hair and drew it up to his nose. The softness of her hair released a nice scent of shampoo as he said, "Mom dotes on Zaozao and Chenchen, but you’re the most important to , always."

Si Yu’s words flowed like they were coated with honey.

"Chenchen’s not even chubby. If she eats any less, are you trying to starve your daughter?" Tang Yue’s almond eyes widened in indignation.

Si Yu: "..."

My dear wife, I was just following along with what you said.

"Si Yu, when did you beco so smooth-talking?" Tang Yue smacked away the hand that was playing with her hair and leaned in to scrutinize him. His facial features remained as sharp and handso as ever, and his deep eyes resembled an endless universe.

His lips were neither too thin nor too full, with beautifully defined contours, and his high nose seed ticulously carved by an artisan.

Tang Yue couldn’t help but beco entranced, even after all these years of marriage, his handsoness still dazed her.

Si Yu slightly curled his lips, greatly enjoying Tang Yue’s starry-eyed admiration. He leaned in closer, seeing his reflection clearly in her eyes. Si Yu had once found this face too overly handso, attracting unwanted attention, but now, he was very fond of it, at least because it pleased his wife.

"Every word I said cos from the heart," Si Yu brushed her nose lightly, advancing forward as she retreated.

By the ti Tang Yue realized it, Si Yu had already devoured her completely.

*

"Sis, you still haven’t gotten up yet?" Lian Qingyang had actually wanted to talk about the invitation yesterday with Tang Yue, but yesterday she got dragged off early by Si Yu to their room. Lian Qingyang kept the kids company until they fell asleep, by which ti Tang Yue was also asleep.

Lian Qingyang figured it wasn’t urgent, so he didn’t bother her.

The next day, Lian Qingyang had already completed a majority of his work, yet Tang Yue still hadn’t woken up.

"Mmm."

Tang Yue turned over, rubbing her eyes, glanced at her phone, the most basic blue-screen model, good for calling and texting, not much else.

Why is it this late?

After washing up, Tang Yue sipped on so porridge and asked, "Xiao Yang, why aren’t you off doing your tasks yet today?"

"I’m waiting for you, see." Lian Qingyang pressed his lips together, "Sis, I must say, your stamina isn’t great."

Tang Yue blushed, shot him a glare, and said, "You’ve got stamina, go run ten laps."

"Forget ten laps, I could run twenty," Lian Qingyang replied nonchalantly.

Tang Yue emphasized, "Around the company."

At school, a lap was four hundred ters, ten laps equaled four thousand ters.

But a lap around the company was a kiloter, totaling ten kiloters for ten laps.

Lian Qingyang’s mouth couldn’t help twitching, "Sis, isn’t that a bit harsh? I wasn’t even making fun of you."

"By the way, I took Zaozao and Chenchen to school this morning, sis, you should praise ." Lian Qingyang quickly changed the subject. Ten kiloters wasn’t a problem, what worried him was his brother-in-law’s potential reaction if he found out about him joking around with his sister. Wouldn’t he get... trained to death?

Sparring with Si Yu could end with him exhausted and bruised.

"Sis, Lian Qingqing, no, Shen Qingqing sent an invitation to the house." Lian Qingyang purposely asked, "Did she send one to you?"

Lian Qingyang had been busy these days, only visiting yesterday, so wasn’t sure if Shen Qingqing had sent it.

"She did." Tang Yue nodded, cleared her throat, and asked, "Then is Grandpa coming to Jing City?"

"Yes."

Lian Qingyang replied, "But it’s not for her wedding; it’s for Zaozao and Chenchen’s birthday. He wasn’t able to co earlier, but now that Grandpa’s feeling better, he’s naturally coming to celebrate their birthdays."

"No need, Grandpa’s getting older, let’s not put him through the hassle for their little birthdays."

The more ti she spent with him, the more Tang Yue found Old Sir Lian to be kind and amiable.
