Song Recomndation: Unity By Alan Walker

"Stop staring at

that way, I am really fine," Xin Yan laughed. She just wanted him to be less bothered about her.

"If you say so, will you be heading to the office?" Li Qiang asked, and she nodded in reply.

"Hmm, I would have stayed back ho, but I have nurous things to attend to," she replied while packing the dical equipnt.

"This is my fault, isn’t it?" Li Qiang asked, not bothering to hide the guilt on his face.

"What do you an by that?" She paused, looking at him with an inquisitive look.

"You stayed at ho just to take care of , you should have done other things, but I held you back, I apologize for it," Li Qiang apologized to her.

Xin Yan chuckled gently.

"Why should you apologize? I am your wife, and it is only right I help you while you are sick, if I do not do it, nobody will do it, so do not feel bad, you are not dragging

backwards," Xin Yan clarified for him.

"Do you really an it?" Li Qiang asked, his eyes searching for her every expression to find out her real feelings.

"I do, now, I will freshen up so you can drop

off at work," Xin Yan replied.

"Alright then," he stated, before going downstairs.

Xin Yan looked at his retreating figure, and she sighed. She did not want him to be constantly worried about her. She did not like it at all.

Thirty minutes later, the couple were already on the road, heading to work.

"You have to pay proper attention to your surroundings," Li Qiang instructed her, as though she was a little girl.

"You do not need to tell

twice, but why are you insistent about it?" Xin Yan asked, turning her head to look at him curiously.

"I am just worried, Wu Tang’s and Tang’s i wedding is fast approaching, and I know both of them do not want the wedding, I am afraid they might perform tricks, I just want you to be careful," Li Qiang replied, but that was not the only reason.

Xin Yan was aware of this fact, but she did not ask him. Since he had asked her to be careful, and to pay attention to her surroundings, then there must be a reason for it. There would also be a reason for him not telling her the real truth.

"Don’t you have faith in your shadow guards?" Xin Yan asked with a teasing look on her face.

Li Qiang snapped his head towards her almost imdiately, "you know about my guards?" He asked with his brows furrowed.

"Hmm, I found out by chance, they need to do a better job in hiding," Xin Yan comnted with her hands on her chins.

"You are right," Li Qiang agreed with her. He made a ntal note to change the current guards to capable and efficient ones.

It was easy for Xin Yan to spot them, what if there was a crisis? Then it could only an the enemies could easily notice them.

"Are you planning on changing them?" Xin Yan asked curiously, as she could notice the look in his eyes.

"They are incapable, I thought they would be the best for you, and could protect you in danger, but I guess I was wrong," Li Qiang had a sharp look in his eyes.

He also made plans to punish them. He felt they did not pay special attention while they were training which resulted in such a mishap.

"If that’s what you want, then I won’t stop you," Xin Yan could not plead on their behalf.

This wasn’t because she was not a saint, but she was a firm believer of getting things done rightly, and so far, they did not do it well.

Li Qiang smiled at her. He had thought she was going to plead on their behalf, but she surprised him by not doing so.

He would have been disappointed if she did plead. Occasionally, it was necessary to put people in their places, and not be sympathetic towards them.

"We have arrived," Li Qiang pulled up at her company.

She looked out the car’s window, before turning to look at him.

"Do you see that? That’s my company," Xin Yan was proud as she introduced her company to him.

Li Qiang chuckled at her antics.

"Cute," he remarked. He had the urge to ruffle her hair, but he recalled the amount of ti she used to style it, and thus, he dropped his hand, feeling rather disappointed.

"I will be leaving now, I will call you when I am done for today, okay?" She asked for his approval, and she only left the car once he nodded.

"Have fun, and do not overwork yourself," he instructed with a gentle smile.

"I should be the one to tell you that," Xin Yan chuckled as she replied to him through the window of the car.

She was about to leave when he called her.

"What’s wrong?" She asked confusedly.

Li Qiang cleared his throat awkwardly, feeling shy for the request he was about to make.

Xin Yan was confused by his deanor.

"It is customary for a wife to give her husband a kiss before leaving," Li Qiang coughed slightly as he whispered.

Xin Yan chuckled, and she was about to laugh out loud, but when she saw the serious expression on his face, she held back.

"How do I kiss you when I am out of the car already?" Xin Yan was in a good mood; hence, she aid to tease him.

Li Qiang looked at the unwilling female, and he ntally facepald. He should have inford her before she left the car.

But suddenly a thought flashed through his mind as he turned to look at her with a mischievous smile, causing her to feel goosebumps.

"Here, you can kiss

here," he stretched out his hands to her, shocking the daylight out of her.

"Do you want

to kiss your hand?" Xin Yan asked with a shocked look.
