"Alright, I will get your al, then, you take your drugs, is that fine with you?" Xin Yan asked.
"Hmm," he nodded.
Xin Yan smiled, before leaving the room.
An hour later, Li Qiang had had his al, and had also taken his dication. Currently, Li Qiang was on the bed with Xin Yan dabbing his sweaty head.
"I would never have thought that I would experience such a treatnt from you," he casually comnted, causing Xin Yan to pause montarily.
"What do you an by that?" She asked, before continuing with what she was doing.
"I never expected that I would be able to get married to you, sotis, perhaps because of selfishness, I find myself being grateful that you died and was reborn," Li Qiang muttered in a low voice.
His statent caused Xin Yan’s brows to shoot up imdiately. She was not expecting him to have such a thought, nevertheless, she allowed him to continue with what he was saying.
She might never get the chance to hear him speak up. Li Qiang never spoke about his weakness.
"You know, I bla myself at tis, maybe, if I had been man enough, then you would not have experienced such betrayal, but then, you would not have known about the true nature of humans," Li Qiang’s eyelids dropped slightly.
The pills were already taking effect. He was ant to sleep for a very long ti.
Li Qiang forced his eyes open. He had to stay awake. This was the first ti he was able to sit down with Xin Yan, and ntion his real feelings, he was not going to let go of such an opportunity.
"The world is wicked, and we only learn through experience, your experience is enough, but I want to protect you from any harm because I love you so much," Li Qiang confessed.
It was not a new thing, but Xin Yan felt her heart ripple in joy and excitent. She always loved it when he confessed his feelings to her, but that was rare.
Li Qiang preferred actions, and thus, he rarely ntioned how much he loves Xin Yan.
"And I love you too, I might not say this, but I am also happy I died, and got reborn, it allowed us to have a complete family, we have our kids with us, that’s the best for ," Xin Yan replied with a nasal tone, but the response she got was a light snore.
She smiled gently as she left the bed taking the bowl of water alongside her, going into the bathroom.
Once she was out of the bathroom, she felt his temperature, and it had reduced considerably. This was the only ti she could heave a sigh in relief.
"Oof!" She exclaid, collapsing to the foot of the bed. To allow him to have a good sleep, she could not stay on the bed with him.
Xin Yan had no idea how long she slept, but once she opened her eyes, she found herself on the bed, surprising her to the core.
"Uh?" She looked around with confusion in her eyes.
"How did I get to the bed?" She asked no one in particular as she could rember that she was on the floor, before she slept off.
Xin Yan looked to the side, and a frown appeared on her face when she could not find Li Qiang.
She panicked imdiately as she left the bed in a haste.
She was about to leave the room when she heard her na being called out.
"Xin Yan," she swiftly turned, and she breathed out seeing him walk out of the bathroom.
"I was worried when I could not find you in the room, are you okay? Do you need water?" She asked as she walked towards him, fussing over him.
He held her hands which were on his neck, smiling at her, "I am fine, I promise."
"You still have a pale face, you cannot go to the office unless I make sure you are perfectly okay," Xin Yan was adamant when she noticed he was already dressed for work.
"But, I am perfectly fine," he protested.
"That was the sa excuse you gave yesterday, but what was the result? Your temperature flares, you need to understand that you are not a machine, your body needs rest as at when due," she lectured him as she brought him to sit on the bed.
Li Qiang could only watch her do what she wanted to do. He was speechless, and he did not know how he was to convince her that he was okay, and fit for work.
He looked at the serious expression on her face, and decided against it imdiately. Xin Yan was adamant on him staying at ho, it seems it was best for him to stay at ho, and listen to her.
*Three Days Later*
These three days passed by eventless. Xin Yan paid close attention to Li Qiang’s recovery. She did not allow him near his laptop, or docunts.
The ones he secretly got Gao Yang to deliver to him were intercepted by Xin Yan, who took it upon herself to work on it.
Basically, in these past three days, he was jobless.
Presently, Xin Yan was checking his temperature using a thermoter. She had a stern look on her face, and he could only stare at her with a face full of grievances.
Once she brought out the thermoter from his mouth, she breathed out in relief and happiness. His temperature had finally gone back to normal.
Her hard work and ti was not in vain.
"Good news, you can go to the office now," she smiled at him as she wiped the sweat away from her head.
"Why are you staring at
that way?" She asked once she noticed the intensity of his gaze.
"You need rest, from taking care of , to taking care of both our companies, you need at least a two-day rest," Li Qiang replied to her without batting her eyelid.
"What? I am perfectly fit, don’t worry about , just prepare for the office, I know you miss it a lot," Xin Yan dismissed the worry in his eyes, but that did not stop Li Qiang from staring at her with a face full of worry.
