Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant Chapter 647: All Parents Share the Same Loving Heart
Because of Guo Qiming’s arrival, Huo Jingrui fried so peanuts and scrambled eggs with scallions.
Guo Qiming kept a silly grin on his face: "Brother Huo, Sister-in-law, you wouldn’t believe it, since I found out my wife was pregnant, I haven’t had to put up with the stress any more. My mom treats my wife so well now, and this is what life should be like.
Sister-in-law, I really can’t thank you enough."
Huo Jingrui and Yunyi, having lived through multiple lifetis, naturally understood his feelings well.
After dinner, Guo Qiming didn’t stay long, as he needed to hurry back to work the night shift. With his wife pregnant and harmony at ho, he was full of energy and eager to make progress.
Now is the season when the mountain apricots are almost ripe; before Guo Qiming left, Yunyi specifically took out a bag of apricots from the space: "Caihong is at the morning sickness stage, take this bag of apricots back to her."
Upon hearing this, Guo Qiming laughed outright: "Sister-in-law, I won’t stand on ceremony then. She’s been craving sour things these days. Yesterday, my mom even suggested I take a trip to the countryside to see if I could pick so mountain apricots to satisfy Caihong’s cravings."
After seeing Guo Qiming off and preparing to turn back to the courtyard, he noticed that the Zhuang family’s big gate next door had opened.
Zhuang’s Sister-in-law walked out the door: "Doctor Chu, wait a mont."
Huo Jingrui frowned, sowhat displeased. Zhuang’s Sister-in-law also knew it wasn’t great to occupy soone’s off-hours, but she couldn’t wait any longer: "Doctor Chu, it’s just a few words, it won’t take much of your ti."
Yunyi nodded lightly: "Sister-in-law Zhuang, do you have sothing to say?
After all, she still needed to stay at the machinery plant for a while, and after her birthday, she and Huo Jingrui would register their marriage. At that ti, they’d live here, so they needed to maintain good neighborly relationships.
Zhuang’s Sister-in-law glanced at Huo Jingrui standing beside Yunyi, sowhat embarrassed to speak.
Yunyi understood and turned to Huo Jingrui: "You go ahead and take the dishes to the kitchen. I’ll chat with Sister-in-law Zhuang for a bit and then co to wash the dishes."
She deliberately said this to let Zhuang’s Sister-in-law know she had other things to do and not to drag on endlessly.
Of course, when it ca to washing dishes, Huo Jingrui certainly wouldn’t let her do it — it was just a phrase.
Huo Jingrui responded and turned to head back inside to tidy up.
Only then did Yunyi look at the person in front of her: "Sister-in-law Zhuang, what do you want to ask?"
Sister-in-law Zhuang’s husband was the head of the sales departnt at the machinery plant. The couple had a son and a daughter; the Zhuang family’s daughter, Zhuang Haijuan, had been married for three years. She had been pregnant once, but after a fall during a night shift, she miscarried and hadn’t conceived since.
Zhuang Haijuan’s husband was the second in the family hierarchy, and seeing that the third brother who married later already had a son, and the fourth brother’s wife who had recently joined the family was now pregnant, her mood naturally wasn’t great.
Sister-in-law Zhuang worried constantly about her daughter’s situation. Though they’d tried many dicines, her daughter’s belly showed no sign of a baby, leaving them distressed. But then, she’d overheard Guo Qiming’s words.
Initially, Sister-in-law Zhuang found it hard to bring up, but thinking that if her daughter didn’t get pregnant soon, the future would be tougher, she couldn’t care about anything else: "Doctor Chu, can my daughter’s situation be treated?"
Yunyi listened to Sister-in-law Zhuang’s words: "Sister-in-law, I’ve learned about her situation, but I still need to see her in person and check her pulse to make a conclusion."
Though disappointed, Sister-in-law Zhuang knew better than to push further: "Alright, then I’ll find her and co to you this afternoon, and you’ll take a look at her."
The two exchanged a few more pleasantries before Sister-in-law Zhuang left, her heart heavy.
Yunyi sighed inwardly: It’s truly the plight of all parents under the heavens.
