Yunyi knew in her heart that he would co, but where did this promise co from?

A hint of amusent flashed in her eyes. "What you just said could easily be misunderstood."

Huo Jingrui was first startled, then, realizing what he had said, he offered no defense. "May I co in?"

Yunyi laughed lightly. "What if I say it’s not convenient?"

Huo Jingrui raised the items he was carrying into view. "These are so things I’ve brought for you from Beijing; take them inside, and I’ll co back tomorrow."

Indeed, he had been too anxious. Ever since descending the mountain, he kept having dreams, and after confirming that the person in his dreams was related to Yunyi, he couldn’t wait to see her. Upon learning that the group had a task that required coming here, he agreed without a second thought. He was just so eager to unravel the mystery in his heart and longed so much to see the person before him. However, considering it was late at night, and it was her first day being transferred here, it would indeed be inappropriate for him to enter.

Just as he was handing over the items, he heard Yunyi say, "Co in."

He hesitated for a mont. "Never mind, I’ll co back tomorrow. I don’t want to cause you any trouble."

But Yunyi? She had long wanted to pull him close and didn’t care for such concerns. "As you can see," she continued, "this isn’t a residential area. At night, aside from the night-duty staff, no one else cos here."

After she spoke, sothing occurred to her. "How did you get here, and how did you know where I live?"

Huo Jingrui cleared his throat lightly. "I drove here myself. I got the phone number from Hua’an Agricultural Reclamation Group’s headquarters. I’ve been here before, so I knew of this courtyard."

Yunyi glanced outside. "Where’s your car then? Where did you park?"

Seeing her like this, Huo Jingrui couldn’t help but smile. "I didn’t want to give you any trouble, so I parked sowhere else."

Looking at one another, they both smiled, feeling an inexplicable harmony.

Yunyi took a deep breath. She was convinced. She believed her intuition—this was definitely her Jingrui.

At this mont, Huo Jingrui felt that their connection was genuine. Without needing to force anything, what he thought of was always what she needed. It felt very familiar, yet he himself couldn’t figure out why.

After confirming the situation around her with her spiritual power, Yunyi stepped aside. "Co in first."

After she finished speaking, Huo Jingrui also scanned the surroundings before carrying the items into the courtyard.

Yunyi closed the courtyard door and led him into the house.

Huo Jingrui set down what he was holding and took out a docunt pouch from his chest. "Regarding the matter in Tang City, the Huo Family indeed benefited greatly. I’ll forgo the pleasantries. This is your compensation. For now, it can only be this much; I hope you like it."

He had previously asked Yunyi if she wanted to be transferred back to Beijing. She had refused, so he could only strive to get these for her.

In his presence, Yunyi opened the docunt pouch. Inside were two property deeds – one for a three-courtyard traditional residence near Houhai and another for a small, single-courtyard house near Beijing University and Qing University.

This was exactly what she wanted; she couldn’t help but smile. It seed he had rembered everything she said. Back then, she had just ntioned it casually, but she hadn’t expected him to truly take it to heart.

Then, seeing there was sothing else in the pouch, she reached in and pulled out a passbook in her na, containing 10,000 yuan.

Currently, a regular permanent worker’s salary was only around thirty-odd yuan. The Huo Family was truly generous. Not to ntion the future value of those two properties, just this 10,000 yuan alone was an astonishing sum given the current purchasing power. Actually, she had never intended to profit from the disaster. She had sought out Huo Jingrui back then simply because she didn’t want to expose herself. However, Huo Jingrui had said at the ti that he would definitely fight to get her what she deserved.

Yunyi held up the docunts. "Could these be traced?"

Huo Jingrui understood what she ant. "Don’t worry, I handled everything personally and did so very discreetly."

Yunyi was now reassured. Since he had delivered them, she saw no need to refuse. "Thanks," she said.

Seeing her happiness, Huo Jingrui also felt joyful. "As long as you like them."

After putting the items away, Yunyi looked solemnly at Huo Jingrui. "I want to ask you a purely personal question."
