After taking a spin in the bookstore, Zhen Yu didn’t find any other familiar books beside "Dreaming of Falling Flowers."

Besides the above, Zhen Yu also bought so physics and chemistry practice books, then joined the others to shop for cassette tapes.

Zhen Yu picked out two, and once everyone had made their purchases, they all returned to Zhen Yu’s house together.

It was just after 3 p.m. when they got ho; Zhen Yu thought there would still be ti for more studying.

But Zhen Yan, the big-mouthed brother, sohow brought up his recent experience of visiting a martial arts master in Qi City.

This ignited Han Jiaoyang’s envy, jealousy, and resentnt, and he clung to Zhen Yan, bombarding him with endless questions, with Fu Yu joining in on the fun.

Seeing this, Zhen Yu realized she wouldn’t be finishing any ti soon and wanted to keep up with her brother’s progress, she resigned herself to wasting her afternoon.

"Brother! Brother!" Han Jiaoyang pestered Zhen Yan to spill all he knew, then turned and incessantly called out to Han Mingyue, "I want to go study martial arts in Qi City, too!"

Han Mingyue just smiled wryly, saying nothing.

He had been scheming on how to persuade Bai Xue since he and Zhen Yu had sung their persuasive duet to her, now pondering how to convince his brother.

Now that Han Jiaoyang had conveniently offered himself, how could Han Mingyue not be happy? He just needed to apply so finesse.

Han Jiaoyang couldn’t discern a response from his brother and was at a loss for Han Mingyue’s thoughts, so he redoubled his pleading efforts.

With brother’s consent, the matter would be practically set in stone! Their parents always listened to their brother most!

Zhen Yu had always admired this logic of Han Jiaoyang’s. At the mont, seeing Han Mingyue’s clearly non-opposing expression yet silence, she sensed sothing fishy.

She shot Han Mingyue a aningful glance; what’s your ga?

Han Mingyue glanced at Bai Xue.

Zhen Yu imdiately understood and, stifling a laugh, spoke up, "Han Jiaoyang!"

When Han Jiaoyang heard Zhen Yu call him, he quickly turned around, "Huh?"

As he turned, Zhen Yu escalated the issue, "My brother is studying martial arts as a reward for getting into Qi City No.1 High School."

After delivering that line, she discreetly checked her brother’s reaction.

eting Han Jiaoyang’s searching gaze, Zhen Yan swallowed hard and reluctantly nodded his agreent.

Zhen Yan silently apologized in his heart, Sorry, Han Jiaoyang! Under the coercion of his little sister’s gaze, he dared not deny it!

Han Jiaoyang’s hopes deflated like frosted eggplant, "But I could never get into First High School!"

"You haven’t even tried! How do you know for sure you can’t get in?!" Han Mingyue’s voice wasn’t loud, but it carried an innate authority.

"Brother!" Han Jiaoyang looked up, "I’m one of the worst in our class, the very bottom!"

"I don’t ask you to get into First High. Just make it into the honor roll, enough to get into Qi City Second Middle School!" Han Mingyue said up to this point, letting the unsaid hang in the air for all to understand.

"Really?" Han Jiaoyang’s excitent shone through, "If I get into Second Middle, can I find a master, too?"

"Finding a master is up to you; I can only ensure our parents agree to let you study martial arts." Han Mingyue had also heard Zhen Yan, knowing that his master didn’t take disciples lightly.

"I’ll give it a try! You better keep your word!" Han Jiaoyang exclaid.

Han Mingyue smiled and nodded, sending Han Jiaoyang jumping ecstatically for a while.

When he finally cald down, Han Mingyue said, "Starting tomorrow morning, co study with ."

Instantly, Han Jiaoyang’s face turned into a bitter gourd, but he had no choice but to push himself to agree, "Okay."

Zhen Yu glanced at Bai Xue, and Bai Xue imdiately got the hint, made a pained face, and obediently responded, ’Okay.’

Fu Yu looked left and right, suddenly realizing he seed to be the odd one out! His fellow study-averse allies had been won over!

No no no! He definitely didn’t want to study! He shrank into himself to seem as inconsequential as possible, hoping to go unnoticed.

His wish was fulfilled. Until dinner ti when everyone went their own way ho, no one had ntioned anything about inviting him to study, too. But as Fu Yu walked ho, he inexplicably felt so disappointnt and anger.

No one cares about him! Not a single person bothered about him! Humph! He won’t hang out with them ever again!

——

After everyone left, Zhen Yu started preparing for dinner. Zhen Yan, who usually took this opportunity to watch TV, suddenly approached his younger sister.

"Little sister..." Zhen Yan hesitated as he started to speak.

Zhen Yu ignored him.

Speak if you want, if not, just forget it. She wasn’t going to condone such behavior.

Zhen Yan hovered around her for a while, but eventually, he still spoke up.

"Little sister, can we also invite Fu Yu? He..."

"Do you think he would listen to you if you asked him to study?" Zhen Yu retorted without even lifting her head.

Zhen Yan: "..."

End of conversation.

——

At the Han Family’s place, after dinner.

Han Mingyue decided to bind her brother with another layer of fetters to prevent him from changing his mind.

"Dad, Mom."

Mrs. Han was curious about her eldest son’s purpose for not going back to his room to study after dinner and casually asked, "What’s the matter?"

"Jiaoyang wants to apply for Qi City Second Middle School!"

Han Mingyue’s words were like a bomb thrown into the water, blasting out Mr. Han, the big fish.

"What?" Mr. Han asked in surprise, his troublemaking second son had ambitions for high school? Mr. Han thought he would want to just scrape through middle school!

Mrs. Han was also incredulous. Is the sun rising from the west? "Jiaoyang, do you really want to apply for high school?"

Han Jiayang was brimming with motivation and imdiately nodded, "Yes! I want to go to high school!"

Mrs. Han and Mr. Han exchanged glances, and Mr. Han took the lead to ask, "Can you tell us why?"

Han Jiayang looked at his brother, and Han Mingyue looked back at him amusedly, "He wants to study martial arts. I promised him that if he gets into Second Middle, he can learn."

"Martial Arts?" Mr. Han’s first thought was of Zhen Yu, "You want to learn from Xiao Yu?"

"No!" Han Jiayang shouted, "I want to go to training classes! Zhen Yan said..."

He spilled everything about Zhen Yan’s situation as if pouring beans out of a bamboo tube.

After listening patiently, Mr. Han looked at his second son and asked seriously, "Zhen Yan studies martial arts because his dream is to beco a policeman. What about you? Do you have a dream?"

"Dream?" Han Jiayang was sowhat at a loss. What did he want to be when he grew up? He wanted to be like those master swordsn and warriors in the movies! Dueling and fighting! He didn’t want to be a policeman!

Seeing that his son did not respond for a long while, Mr. Han had to lead him on, "Tell , what do you want to do after you’ve learned martial arts?"

"To be a hero and a champion for justice!" Han Jiayang blurted out eight words, making Mrs. Han, who was listening, burst into laughter.

Unable to contain her amusent, Mrs. Han asked, "My boy, have you been watching too many TV dramas? Hahaha..."

"Sigh!" Mr. Han exhaled in resignation, defeated by his second son’s innocence. "Jiaoyang, all that is fictional, it’s not allowed in today’s society! When have you ever seen such scenes outside of TV dramas?"

"Then I’ll, I’ll go act in TV dramas!"

As soon as these words landed, the room fell silent.

After a long while, Mr. Han finally voiced out, "Do you really want to beco a star?"
