But the path is one you walk yourself; what’s the point in saying all this now? It’s just self-inflicted. I only hope Sun Chan can get involved here, and put this beast to death by firing squad!
She wobbled along the wall and went back across the street, knocking on the door with her hand.
"Open the door, please open the door!"
Sun Chan was cooking, picking beans, when she heard Bai Fanglan’s voice at the door, making her more annoyed. What does this person want!
She walked to the front door but didn’t open it: "What do you want?"
"I... I’m hurt, help ." With a thud, Bai Fanglan fell to the ground. This ti, she wasn’t pretending; it really hurt.
Sun Chan opened the door and was startled by the sight outside: "What happened!" She hurriedly tried to help her up, despite disliking Bai Fanglan, but with this much blood, it wouldn’t do to ignore it, right?
Bai Fanglan said with effort: "I accidentally cut myself."
"I’ll take you to the infirmary!"
"Thank you, please... please help get my coat, will you?"
Sun Chan nodded and walked towards Bai Fanglan’s room. They were all military wives, she couldn’t just ignore soone so seriously injured, was going to help get the clothes, but unexpectedly, upon entering the room, soone grabbed her arm.
Sun Chan was startled, frowned at Yuan Bing: "Why are you here!"
Rembering what Gui Hua Jin and the others said, she beca highly tense. She looked at Yuan Bing warily, shook him off, and headed out.
But Yuan Bing coldly smiled, "I’ve been waiting for you. Co over, let’s talk properly!" He said, pulling Sun Chan strongly into his arms.
Yuan Bing exclaid excitedly: "Such a beautiful little beauty, I really like you. Rest assured, I’ll treat you well!"
Sun Chan was furious, feeling exceedingly disgusted, she struggled fiercely against Yuan Bing: "You beast, get lost!"
Yuan Bing started tangling with Sun Chan. Sun Chan looked up at the gap in the door, Bai Fanglan was standing at the doorway, watching the situation inside. Seeing Sun Chan look over, she was startled and tried to close the door.
Yuan Bing coldly glanced at Bai Fanglan: "Get out!"
Bai Fanglan shivered all over and closed the door.
Sun Chan shouted loudly: "Open the door! Bai Fanglan, you’re too despicable!"
Bai Fanglan whispered a sorry, then slamd the door shut. She couldn’t help it, but what use is it? If she didn’t compromise, life would beco too hard. She thought to herself, though hoping Sun Chan’s sacrifice would bring her good days, seeing Sun Chan misfortunate really makes her feel bad!
Sun Chan was trembling with anger: "Bai Fanglan, I won’t let you off!"
Yuan Bing beca impatient, dragging Sun Chan onto the sofa with one hand while covering her mouth with the other, not letting her cry out. Sun Chan wasn’t as strong as Yuan Bing, but she wasn’t afraid, her mind racing to figure out a way to escape quickly.
Yuan Bing pinned Sun Chan on the sofa, trying to kiss her. Sun Chan grabbed a large vase beside the table and threw it at Yuan Bing. Yuan Bing dodged it, and the vase smashed against the wall, shattering into pieces.
Yuan Bing looked at Sun Chan smugly: "You little bitch, you still want to hit , do you have the skill?"
Sun Chan’s mouth was covered, struggling and whimpering; she wasn’t trying to hit Yuan Bing but wanted soone to hear the noise. Just then, Liu Enming went upstairs, with such a loud sound, he should have heard it.
Sure enough, the vase shattered, and upstairs Liu Enming was talking with Zheng Lijuan, Tian Jian wasn’t back, and they heard the noise, frowning.
"What’s going on downstairs? There were several shouts just now."
"Who knows, let’s go see." Liu Enming rembered Sun Chan, aren’t they downstairs? If sothing happened, it wouldn’t be good.
Zheng Lijuan nodded and went downstairs with Liu Enming, then saw Bai Fanglan walking out, her arm injured, body hurting, walking especially sluggishly. She initially wanted to hide out in Sun Chan’s room, but Sun Chan had locked the door just now. So, she could only find sowhere outside to stay for a while, thinking if things worked out, she’d return and let Sun Chan be her guard.
Her mood was very complicated, knowing full well she was in the wrong, Bai Fanglan wasn’t a beast either, she had emotions. But on the other hand, she secretly felt pleased, she’d been held down by Sun Chan for so long, never able to raise her head, now finally, Sun Chan had her misfortune.
Liu Enming and Zheng Lijuan ca down together, seeing Bai Fanglan standing at the door, blood all over the floor, both were startled and exclaid: "What’s happened!"
Bai Fanglan’s heart almost leapt out, hurriedly forced a smile: "I’m hurt, please help . Take to the infirmary."
"What happened to you?" Zheng Lijuan startled.
"Nothing, I ca to visit today, originally wanted to cut so vegetables myself, but accidentally... Please help ." Bai Fanglan said. She couldn’t let them into her room.
"Alright, be careful." Zheng Lijuan didn’t think much more of it, who would think soone would cut themselves?
But Liu Enming sensed sothing off, because Sun Chan was right across, with such a loud commotion, why hasn’t she co out? Sun Chan had just said she wouldn’t go outside anymore, she’s preparing dinner?
"Liu Enming, what’s wrong?" Zheng Lijuan asked curiously.
"Nothing, I’m just wondering about Sun Chan. No sound from her."
Bai Fanglan was shocked, thought, Sun Chan was really a show-off; who’d think she’d flirt with this man! But she didn’t show it, said laboriously: "She went to the shop behind to make a call. I just saw her."
Liu Enming nodded, glanced at Bai Fanglan.
Inside the room, Sun Chan was sweating all over her forehead in anxiety, were they just going to leave her, how could that be? She began struggling fiercely, hearing the voices outside the corridor, Yuan Bing beca a little flustered too, glaring a warning at Sun Chan, grabbing a pillow to press against her face, silencing her.
Sun Chan was suffocating, thought, how can I escape? She reached for her belt, finding a keychain, which had the house key and the bullet casing Gu Junming gave her; she laboriously took it down and threw it out.
The bullet casing fell to the ground, making a jingling sound. They were right outside, the sound was loud enough, should be audible.
