Gu Junming laughed, "That good?"
"Of course, I’ve been thinking about buying sothing tasty to give you a proper treat. Even though you have at in the army, it doesn’t an you get to eat well." Sun Chan smiled as she tidied up the money.
On their way back, Sun Chan indeed bought ribs, so chicken, and also so vermicelli and pickled cabbage, spending a total of 50 yuan. Anyway, the weather is cold now, so there’s no worry about it going bad.
Sun Chan made stewed ribs with radishes and pickled cabbage, stead rice, and also fried a few eggs. Additionally, Gu Junming made a dish of candied sweet potatoes. He wasn’t particularly good at cooking, but this dish was sothing his foster father excelled at and had taught him since he was young.
So many good dishes, it was quite a treat.
Gu Junming set aside so of the dishes, intending to give them to Guihua and Yang Liu.
She laughed, "We should let your brother co and eat with us."
"Yeah, I forgot if you hadn’t ntioned it! Let’s pack so in a lunchbox, and I’ll take it to my brother. He loves at."
"Sure." Sun Chan took out the lunchbox swiftly.
Once everything was set, the two sat by the table to have dinner together.
Gu Junming said, "I’m going to be busy starting tomorrow, so I can’t be with you every day. If you need anything, rember to call . Once I find a place, I’ll let you know. I’ll co over on moving day."
Sun Chan nodded, "I got it. After the al, you should leave, right? It’s hard to travel if it gets too late."
Gu Junming was stunned, then smiled and said, "You’re worried about people gossiping if I stay, huh. Don’t worry, I won’t cause you any trouble."
Sun Chan blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed, and said, "I just don’t want such things to happen again. Please don’t be mad, okay?"
Gu Junming held her hand, "Don’t worry, I’m not mad. I don’t want any disturbances either. I didn’t consider it properly before, and that tarnished your reputation. I’ll be more careful in the future."
"I’m sorry," she said softly.
Gu Junming pulled her into his arms, "Silly, why apologize? Shouldn’t I be the one to apologize?"
Neither of them spoke, quietly embracing for a long while. They both felt fulfilled and warm inside. After this incident, their relationship was even more solid.
Gu Junming delivered the food to Gu Juntao’s house. The couple was still upset about the day’s events.
Yang Hongying wasn’t upset about him ddling, as it was right to help his brother. But he didn’t go to work because of it today, resulting in half a month’s bonus being deducted.
Yang Hongying was upset and tapped his back, "You saw the manager and didn’t ask for leave? Couldn’t you have just told them and avoided the deduction? That’s a lot of money! Enough to buy 20 jin of fish!"
"I forgot, didn’t I? I’ll talk to the manager later."
"Wasn’t today a reporting day? Is it still possible to say it now?" Yang Hongying said while washing the dishes, "With that much less in salary, you better not think about eating at in the second half of the month, though we didn’t lack for it during New Year. We’ll just have to live frugally."
Gu Juntao frowned, "I forgot, it’s tough for you, my wife. Sharing the hardship with ."
Yang Hongying laughed, "I don’t mind; just make sure you learn from this, so you don’t repeat such careless mistakes. Starting tomorrow, we’ll eat cabbage. We still have so pickled vegetables, that’ll do."
Gu Juntao sighed, cabbage is fine. When supporting the disaster areas, it was cabbage every day, and nothing happened.
Thinking of himself before marriage, Wang Guihua wouldn’t let him eat cabbage and potatoes, there was always plenty of fish and at, which resulted in his build; he’s lost so weight since getting married. It’s a good thing, perhaps.
Watching Yang Hongying diligently doing household chores, Gu Juntao felt moved.
What a good woman. Why doesn’t my mom like her? Would it be better if there was a child? He hugged her from behind, wanting to make a baby while there is still ti.
Yang Hongying was flustered, finding him annoying, "What are you doing? I’m busy. Go on, back off for now."
"Wife, I miss you."
"Seeing each other every day, what’s there to miss?"
Gu Juntao said, "I’ll help with the chores later, co over, let’s talk. Co on!"
Yang Hongying was anxious and angry while fooling around with him, then soone knocked on the door, prompting her to push Gu Juntao’s shoulder.
"Go see who it is, all you know is fooling around." She tidied her hair.
Gu Juntao went over, originally feeling annoyed, but when he saw it was his brother, he imdiately smiled, "Brother, what brings you here?"
"This is for you." Gu Junming handed over the lunchbox.
"Co in, brother! Hongying, my brother’s here!" He opened the box and saw so many ribs, grinning widely. He’s just been saying there’s nothing good to eat, then big brother ca to the rescue, wasn’t this a sign from above?
"No need, it’s late. I’ll head back to the army." Gu Junming said, "I’ll help you with moving in a few days. Will you be free?"
"No problem! I’ll be there."
"Then I’ll head out. Say hi to your wife." Gu Junming turned and left.
Although Yang Hongying ca out in a hurry, she still didn’t see her big brother, thinking to herself, this guy is in quite a rush.
Gu Juntao gave the lunchbox to his wife and explained what happened.
She smiled and said, "Helping is fine, just rember to ask for leave!"
"Got it. It’s my mistake." Gu Juntao laughed, "My brother sent sothing delicious, we’ll have at tomorrow. We’re so lucky."
"Good. Congratulations." Yang Hongying smiled warmly and went inside. She was a gentle woman, never losing her temper.
Gu Juntao said with a smile, "After getting married, my relationship with my brother is quite good, amazing. "
"Your brother is a good person, spend more ti with him." Yang Hongying went to sweep the floor, but this ti, Gu Juntao couldn’t wait anymore. He threw away her broom and took her to the bedroom.
Yang Hongying said helplessly, "Do we really have to be like this?! What if soone cos again?"
"No one will! Who would co so late, let’s hurry and make a baby."
The door closed, and intimate sounds erged from the bedroom.
The place where the couple was staying was small, not the courtyard they had before, with building levels. There was no one to help with the housework, and the food wasn’t great, but Gu Juntao still felt very blessed, this was the image of a ho.
In the Gu Family, Wang Guihua sat dazed on the sofa.
Since Gu Juntao got married, she often found herself like this.
Thinking of her son being with a widow, her heart ached like needles were jabbing her. She silently cursed every day, wishing the relationship would end. Gu Zishan glanced at his wife, sighed, and went to his father’s study.
Gu Dongfang was looking at a map, and when he saw his son co in, he said, "What’s the matter?"
"Dad, soone from the Yang Family contacted ."
Gu Dongfang frowned slightly, "Yang Xiong? Is there an issue?"
"It’s not Yang Xiong, it’s his son, Yang Haijun."
