“She deserves it, for spreading rumors for no reason.” Madam Xie listened, dumbfounded.
To be seen naked under the public gaze indeed brought disgrace; just the thought of it made Madam Xie shudder. If it had happened to her, she wouldn’t just be afraid to see people – she might even feel like dying.
“That’s her own fault for being so foolish. She must have known she was exposed, yet she ran toward the shore. Wasn’t that just inviting people to look?” Xuexue said with a smirk, “If she wants to be provocative, no one can stop her, right?”
Relieved that no life was lost, Madam Xie sighed in relief, then beca worried again: “She’s suffered such a huge loss; she definitely won’t let things rest. What are we to do?”
“We’ll deal with the future when it cos, Mom. Don’t worry, we’re here for you.”
“Thank goodness for you and Big Bull. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known what to do,” Madam Xie said, still shaken. Ever since she was divorced by Mo Xiaoqiang and moved to the old residence, all their living expenses were covered by the money Xuexue managed to earn. Fortunately, Big Bull later ca to their house and gave Xuexue a lot of help. She truly hoped that Big Bull would end up with Xuexue.
“Don’t worry, Mom, Xuexue will always be with you.” Xuexue spoke as she finished bandaging her mother’s wound.
