Chapter 260: Chapter 260 Forced Reconciliation

Due to Lin Xu’s birthday wish, Ji Tingyang and Ji Zeqiu were forced to reconcile.

“Zeqiu, I’ve washed so fruits, quickly take them to the living room and eat with your brother,” Lin Xu called out from the kitchen.

Ji Zeqiu heard her and imdiately went into the kitchen.

Before long, he and Lin Xu each ca out carrying a plate of fruit.

Ji Zeqiu sneakily glanced at Lin Xu, then at Ji Tingyang, and after struggling for a few seconds, resignedly said, “Brother, let’s eat fruit.”

Ji Tingyang raised his eyebrows, his pitch-black pupils teasing.

By his side, Ji Yuqiao also heard this and laughed so hard that her eyes curved.

Ever since his elder brother had grown up, he hadn’t called him brother as obediently as he did when they were little.

She found it sowhat novel at the mont and covered her mouth, giggling.

Seeing Ji Tingyang’s teasing gaze, Ji Zeqiu’s cheeks flushed with an embarrassed anger, and when Lin Xu wasn’t looking, he fiercely glared at him.

However, that look was not the least bit threatening, and Ji Tingyang just shrugged his shoulders and ate a grape with ease.

Ji Zeqiu clenched his hands, then the next second, as if suddenly coming up with sothing, a sly gleam crossed his eyes.

“Cough cough…” He coughed a few tis and looked at Ji Tingyang, “My throat feels a bit dry, could you pour a glass of water?”

“Don’t you have hands?” Ji Tingyang gave him a sidelong glance.

A hurt expression suddenly appeared on Ji Zeqiu’s face, and he looked at Lin Xu with a slightly wronged tone, “Big brother seems not to like , I’ll just get the water myself.”

Lin Xu imdiately looked toward Ji Tingyang, hesitating, “Tingyang…”

Ji Tingyang’s hand holding the fruit paused, “No, mother, don’t listen to his nonsense, I’ll get him the water.”

He stood up, fetched a glass of water from the kitchen, and placed it heavily in front of Ji Zeqiu, the words “Drink water” grinding between his teeth.

Ji Zeqiu, as if having scored a point, looked at him with eyes full of triumph.

A vein popped on Ji Tingyang’s forehead, he held back the urge to hit him, and sat down next to Lin Xu with a stern face.

Yet, not long after, Ji Zeqiu started his antics again, “Big brother, this apple seems really delicious, can you cut one for ?”

“No need to cut, just eat it whole,” Ji Tingyang responded coldly.

“But I want it cut, don’t you want to cut it for your dear brother whom you cherish?” Ji Zeqiu blinked innocently.

Seeing that he was about to reach out to Lin Xu again, Ji Tingyang’s cheeks darkened, “Fine, I’ll cut it.”

“The apple needs to be cut into small pieces, otherwise I can’t swallow it.”

Ji Tingyang: “…”

“Big brother, can you get a paper napkin?”

“Big brother, help throw away the trash.”

“Big brother, I’ve finished the water.”

“Big brother…”

Ji Zeqiu, as if finding amusent in this, incessantly ordered Ji Tingyang around under the guise of harmonious relations – the term “big brother” becoming more and more natural for him to say.

Ji Tingyang’s face turned as dark as ink, and his sharp gaze darted a warning at him to not overstep.

However, with Lin Xu as his shield, Ji Zeqiu remained unmoved by his warning, “Big brother, I…”

Just as Ji Zeqiu opened his mouth, Ji Tingyang stuffed a whole apple into it, “You wanted to eat an apple, right? Take your ti, no rush.”

“Mmm mmm…”

Ji Zeqiu took the apple out and, after Lin Xu walked away to answer the phone, cursed at Ji Tingyang, “Ji Tingyang, are you sick!”

He rubbed his mouth, nearly dislocating his jaw with the apple wedge he was gnawing on.

“I think the one who’s sick is you,” Ji Tingyang glared at him out of the corner of his eye. “If you dare boss around again, don’t bla for spitting in your cup.”

“It’s not bossing you around, this is brotherly mutual assistance. Mom said we have to get along with each other.” Ji Zeqiu said.

“Then why don’t you give a hand or two?” Ji Tingyang sneered coldly.

Ji Zeqiu: “Didn’t I wash the fruit for you?”

Ji Tingyang: “The fruit was washed by Mom.”

Ji Zeqiu: “But I was the one who brought it to you.”

Ji Tingyang: “You have the nerve to ntion those two little things?”

Ji Zeqiu: “You…”

Ji Yuqiao was listening on the side, thoroughly amused, even feeling an urge to record the scene with her phone.

Just as the two were at a standoff, she caught a glimpse of Lin Xu walking back and imdiately transford into a primary school student, reporting aloud, “Mom’s back!”

The sarcastic voices of the two abruptly ceased.

Before Lin Xu returned, they had already assud the facade of a warm and affectionate relationship.

Ji Yuqiao also adorably flung herself into Lin Xu’s arms, handing over her phone to show her a funny video she had found.

Just then, Ji Tingyang frowned and hissed, rubbing his shoulder uncomfortably. “I overworked myself late into the night, now my body feels all stiff.”

Hearing this, Lin Xu imdiately looked over with concern. “Are you not feeling well? Why don’t you take a couple of days off and rest at ho?”

“No need, it’s not that serious,” Ji Tingyang’s gaze fell on Ji Zeqiu for a mont, pausing.

Ji Zeqiu instantly had a bad feeling.

Sure enough.

Ji Tingyang spoke leisurely, “Perhaps if my little brother would give a shoulder rub, I might feel better.”

Ji Zeqiu’s smile stiffened as he got up and walked over. “Sure, let give you a rub.”

He exerted all his strength, kneading Ji Tingyang’s shoulders so hard that to the uninford, it would seem like deep-seated animosity.

“How about that, isn’t my massage technique comfortable?” Ji Zeqiu said.

Ji Tingyang responded without changing his expression, “Indeed, not bad.”

When Lin Xu had just co back, the two brothers couldn’t stop arguing every ti they t. Now, their relationship seed so much better.

She felt a wave of emotion at first, followed by happiness.

“Oh, right,” Lin Xu suddenly rembered sothing and hurriedly brought out a few peaches from the kitchen. “There are three peaches left from the ones I bought earlier, one for each of you.”

Lin Xu handed one peach to each of them. “I have an appointnt with the beautician this afternoon, so I’m heading out now. You three stay ho and behave, understood?”

Ji Yuqiao nodded and answered, “Okay!”

As soon as Lin Xu left, Ji Zeqiu imdiately pushed Ji Tingyang away with disgust, as if he had touched sothing filthy, and wiped his hands on his clothes.

Then he eyed the peach in his hand, looking sowhat smug. “I knew I’m Mom’s favorite. Even the peach she gave is the biggest.”

Ji Tingyang glanced at him. “If you’re blind, go and get treatnt. Clearly, the peach in my hand is the biggest.”

“You’re the one who’s blind, and if you don’t believe , I’ll get a ruler so you can see for yourself.”

“Even without a ruler, I know.”

“I think you’re just too cowardly to asure because you know you’re wrong.”

In less than a mont after Lin Xu’s departure, the two were once again at each other’s throats.

Ji Yuqiao took a bite of the peach in her hand, her expression one of distaste. “To think you’re both in your twenties yet still so childish.”
