After dinner yesterday, Lin Xu approached Ji Tingyang reluctantly.
“What’s wrong, is there sothing you need?” Ji Tingyang asked, seeing her hesitant expression.
“Tomorrow… I suddenly have sothing to do, so I might not be able to go to the dinner with you,” Lin Xu said guiltily, fiddling with the hem of her clothes.
“What happened?” Ji Tingyang inquired.
“Well, I’m not feeling well and I don’t want to go out tomorrow,” Lin Xu answered, her eyes flickering.
No sooner had she finished speaking than Ji Tingyang’s face tensed up with concern. He grabbed her hand and asked urgently, “Where does it hurt? I’ll call our family doctor right now.”
He quickly dismissed the idea, “No, let’s not. The hospital has better equipnt. I’ll take you there for a check-up. Wait here for ; I’m going to get the car.”
With that, he hurried toward the parking lot.
Lin Xu held him back, “Wait, there’s no need to go to the hospital!”
“How can we not go to the hospital if you’re feeling unwell, you…”
“I’m just on my period, there’s no need for the hospital,” Lin Xu shouted, drowning out Ji Tingyang’s frantic voice.
There was a mont of dead silence.
Suddenly, Ji Tingyang’s face turned rapidly red, as if a ripened blush had spread from his cheeks to behind his ears.

“So I’ll just lie down at ho tomorrow, is it okay if you go to the charity banquet alone?” Lin Xu asked.

Just as Lin Xu went back to her room, after washing up and preparing to lie down to rest, soone knocked on her bedroom door.
She walked over and saw Ji Tingyang standing at her door with a tray.
On the tray were two cups of water.
One was a reddish-brown color and the other was steaming as though it were hot water, with a pill next to it.
His expression was shy, and he stuttered, “I, I heard from others that if you have a stomachache, you could drink a cup of brown sugar water, and if that doesn’t work, you could take an Ibuprofen.”
Seeing her thoughtful and clever son, Lin Xu’s conscience slightly pricked her, and she silently apologized to him in her heart.
I’m so sorry, son. All these mistakes are your dad’s fault.

Ji Tingyang went to check on Lin Xu in the bedroom before leaving, and even though she didn’t look any different, he still felt uneasy, “Or maybe I should just stay ho with you.”

“Tired?” Xie Changyan noticed her distracted state. “Do you want to rest?”
“Uh…” Lin Xu was just about to nod when those eagle-eyed 5.2 vision eyes imdiately caught sight of Ji Tingyang near the resting area.
He was dressed in a sleek black suit, holding a glass of champagne, seemingly absent-mindedly chatting with the people next to him.
“No no no, I’m not tired at all, just a bit hungry. Let’s go and get sothing to eat over there.” Lin Xu suddenly jolted, pulling Xie Changyan to quickly leave and move out of Ji Tingyang’s line of sight.
