Chapter 584: The Buried Truth

“Enough.” Fang Xinxin patiently announced the end of their act. “What fart of a Second Uncle are you, ‘Long Shuhai’? I should be addressing you as Yang Xueyao, shouldn’t I?”

She brought out a stack of docunts with a passport photo attached to the very first page, and slamd it on the coffee table.

The passport photo was of Long Shuhai’s face, however the photo was a black and white shot taken more than ten years ago.

“Let tell you a story.” Fang Xinxin began indifferently. “Many years ago, a couple nad Fang Huaitian and Zhao Yun gave birth to a beautiful pair of twin girls. They nad them Fang Lilan and Fang Liyin. Since young, Lilan was sensible and thoughtful. Her younger sister, Fang Liyin, however, was always disobedient. During her school days, she smoked, drank, fought and even caused trouble outside. Eventually, when she turned fifteen, she eloped with a gangster nad Yang Xueyao. Due to this matter, Fang Huaitian and his wife were angered to the point where they disowned their daughter, Liyin. Five years later, Fang Lilan turned twenty-five and she married Long Yifan. They both adopted a boy nad Fang Shaohua. As for Fang Liyin, she did not have a good life after eloping. She wrote letters on multiple occasions to her elder sister seeking help. Her sister naturally lent her money behind their parents’ backs. In the fifth year of her marriage, Fang Lilan was pregnant. Unfortunately, it was a stillbirth.”

Fang Xinxin then brought an old hospital docunt out and placed it on the table. “These are the records from Fang Lilan’s hospital visit that year.”

She paused for a mont before continuing. “Fang Lilan was heartbroken over this. At the sa ti, her younger sister and Yang Xueyao had a daughter. Unfortunately, the two of them barely had enough money for themselves. How could they possibly raise a child? Thus, Fang Liyin sent her daughter to her elder sister for adoption.”

She had heard her elder brother, Fang Shaohua, ntion this in the past. Her mother had indeed been pregnant that year. This was also why both of them had never suspected Fang Manxue’s background.

Fang Xinxin’s gaze shifted onto Fang Manxue, who appeared as pale as a sheet of paper. “Fang Lilan nad her young sister’s daughter Fang Manxue. Ever since then, Second Sister, you beca my parents’ child and led a blissful life.”

Fang Manxue fell down on the ground. “How did you find out about this? How...”

Fang Xinxin paid no attention to her and continued. “My parents have never lied to you about your birth. Thus, you always knew that you were not my parents’ biological daughter. In fact, you even t Fang Liyin and Yang Xueyao secretly on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, my elder brother and I did not know of this. Our parents were worried that we wouldn’t treat you well if we knew about this. Thus, they kept this truth from us. In fact, among all of us, you received the best treatnt in the Fang ho.”

“Enough!” Fang Manxue raised her voice. “What do you an by the best treatnt? Since Fang Lilan claid she would treat as her birth daughter, why did she still give birth to you!”

‘Fang Lilan’ tried to stop her imdiately. “Manxue, what are you talking about?”

But Fang Manxue could no longer control herself. “Mom, Fang Xinxin clearly already knows everything. What’s the point in denying this any longer?”

When ‘Fang Lilan’ heard this, her legs weakened and she nearly fell down.

“That’s right, at this point, what’s the use in trying to lie?” Fang Xinxin had a faint smile on her lips. “Why weren’t my parents allowed to give birth to ? Fang Shaohua is an adopted child. Fang Manxue, you also weren’t their own child. My parents loved each other dearly and they only gave birth to as a representation of their love. Were they out of line in doing so?”

Fang Manxue had no way of refuting this.
