Chapter 170: Dream About

She did not like crying in front of anyone.

In her previous life, she had been weak and helpless. But in this life, she would definitely be different.

Bai Qinghao held her lovingly and whispered in a comforting voice. “Everything has passed. I promise you, he will be fine.”

“Bai Qinghao...” She was deeply moved as she pressed her face against his firm shoulder. “I’m so unfilial, yet you don’t seem to bla .”

“Silly...” He patted her back lightly. His tone was filled with heartache. “You’re still a student. There’s only so much you can do. How could I possibly bla you? I haven’t even spoiled you enough.”

She gloomily responded. “I cleared up my father’s hospital fees. I also deposited fifty thousand dollars for ergency use.”

“En.” He asked lightly, but the atmosphere turned cold from his suspicion. “Where did the money co from?”

Originally, it wasn’t suitable for him to ask her this question. The Fang family could not have given her money, nor would she have asked them for it.

But if it had co from Bai Chenxi...

She would not be able to endure the consequences of betraying him!

Fang Xinxin could see his suspicious gaze. He was probably doubtful that she had taken the money from Bai Chenxi. “A few days ago, I won thirteen million dollars in a lottery.”

There had never been any trust between the two of them.

Hence, she did not expect him to believe her easily. Nevertheless, she would slowly dismantle the mistrust he held in his heart.

She brought her phone out and opened a video. It was a recording of a stack of winning tickets. “Look. These are the tickets I bought.”

A hint of surprise appeared on Bai Qinghao’s cold face. “You won such a big sum.”

“That’s because you’re my lucky star.” She smiled elegantly.

Her gaze was completely focused on him. “Before I bought the tickets, I had a dream. In my dream, you told to buy these numbers. After I woke up, I followed your instructions and actually won.”

His heart rippled. She actually dreamt of him!

So people struggled to earn that sum of money in their lifetis. But for him, the amount wasn’t even worth ntioning.

What made him happy was that she dreamt of him.

“En.” He nodded lightly. Although he was secretly delighted, he appeared unruffled on the surface. “In the future, dream of frequently.”

She blinked. “I can’t control my thoughts after I fall asleep. How do I decide the contents of my dream?”

How did the focus shift onto her dreams? Wasn’t he supposed to be suspicious of her win?

She did not wish to bring up her previous lifeti. That... would be too painful.

However, now that she thought about it, from soone else’s point of view, winning the first prize would only be considered a matter of great fortune.

No one would think more of it.

“Think of more, then.” His tone was cold but his soft expression could not be concealed. “Fall asleep as you think about . That way, you’ll surely dream about .”

Fang Xinxin asked him. “Will you think of before you sleep as well?”

His gaze was as deep as the ocean. He watched her silently but did not answer.

As he did not wish to worry her, he could not tell her that he often suffered from insomnia. He slept very little and even when he was thoroughly exhausted, he had difficulty in sleeping.

The only way he rested was by thinking of her repeatedly, and missing her. He always did so until his body gave into the exhaustion and allowed him to rest a little.

“Why aren’t you saying anything?” She was confused.

“I sotis do.” He replied in a light tone.

Her lips curved into a light smile, and like the water on the surface of a lake, his heart rippled. “As long as you do.”

She liked it when she was on his mind. He smiled at this discovery.

The entire hallway was sealed off. The bodyguards stood on both sides of the corridor, preventing any busybodies from approaching.
