Chapter 595: Chapter 113: The End of the Nightmare
Truth Circle!?
Staring intently at the center of the Four Nightmares, Marquis Beixi’s heart gradually sank as he regarded the black-robed figure, from whom he could sense no presence at all.
He suddenly recalled that indiscernible rumor about Fiona’s disappearance, which was suspected to be the work of the Truth Circle Organization!
Before this mont, no matter how he searched, he had not detected any trace of outsiders here. This led him to believe it was rely an unfounded rumor, and thus he had confidently controlled the King of Nightmare Spirits to co here in pursuit of Fiona.
But now, Marquis Beixi finally understood that all of this was a complete and utter trap!
The Truth Circle had long been hidden here without anyone noticing, even absorbing the Four Nightmares. Only he, foolishly oblivious, had stepped right into it!
Sensing the King of Nightmare Spirits’ severe injuries, Marquis Beixi felt a bit of despair.
However, as he frantically contemplated his path to survival, a sudden thought erged in his mind.
The opponent had not made a move; could it be a bluff?
“Hmph! Even if it is the legendary Truth Circle, so what? If you insist on pushing , I’ll make sure to exact a heavy toll on you!”
With that thought, Marquis Beixi rallied his spirit, facing the five people with an incredibly tough stance.
At the sa ti, he began secretly preparing to seal off this pocket world. If he could manage to consu a few of the Four Nightmares before the black-robed person from the Truth Circle could react, he might still possess the strength to fight!
However, what Marquis Beixi had not anticipated was the fact that upon seeing his do-or-die attitude, the black-robed figure at the center suddenly laughed.
And then, under his puzzled gaze, the black-robed person suddenly removed his hood.
What a face it was! Completely devoid of any color, a pallid complexion with no facial features to speak of—only a twisted black hole that seed to lead straight to the depths of the abyss.
Gazing into that profound black hole, a primordial fear from humanity’s ancient past crept up quietly onto Marquis Beixi’s heart like thorny brambles.
Ironically, the King of Nightmare Spirits, a symbol of fear, was also capable of feeling fear towards another existence.
“You… are not human?”
As if recalling so instinctively frightening matters, Marquis Beixi’s voice had an almost imperceptible tremor.
There’s a saying: the more one knows, the more timid one becos.
As a Ninth Rank standing at the pinnacle of this world, Marquis Beixi had explored many desolate and life-threatening places and learned a considerable amount of taboo and terrifying truths.
Be it the end of the Ancient Golden Age, the mysterious disappearance of the great Star Cluster Civilization heralded as a majestic race, or the sudden destruction of the Ancient Magic Empire at the height of its glory.
Through various ans, Marquis Beixi had once peeped into fragnts of the dark periods that occurred more than once in the history of this world.
These were eras when terrifying non-human entities road freely, where darkness and despair were the main thes of the whole world. It was only after a certain ti, when they collectively left this world, that civilization gradually reerged on the continent.
Now, seeing the face under the hood of the person claiming to be from the Truth Circle, along with sensing an old and terrifying aura starkly different from an ordinary Ninth Rank, Marquis Beixi was struck with the worst possible thought.
These terrifying entities, were they finally about to return to this world?
If that’s the case, then it explains the origin of those weird and powerful Ninth Rank mbers with unknown identities within the Truth Circle Organization!
The more Marquis Beixi thought about it, the more alard he felt.
So, their goal was never about restoring the glory of the Ancient Magic Empire, but rather to guide the return of more ancient beings from beyond this realm to this world!
No wonder they always moved so mysteriously and their actions were inscrutable!
Although it seed like a lot had been contemplated, within the Dream World, only a mont had actually passed.
As he gazed at Anvis’s strange countenance, Marquis Beixi’s heart gradually sank.
An organization that had always hidden its identity was now suddenly revealing its true face without any reservation.
This could only an one thing: the other party was confident enough to keep him there for good!
With this thought, Marquis Beixi hesitated no longer; despite the bleeding of his heart, he decisively controlled the body of the King of Nightmare Spirits and chose to self-destruct.
Only by doing so could he be confident enough to completely withdraw his consciousness in the instant of explosion without interference from Anvis.
Although Marquis Beixi knew that as a Ninth Rank, even without self-destructing, it was not certain that Anvis could really attack his true body through the connection with the King of Nightmare Spirits.
But he dared not gamble, as there were too many bizarre powers in this world. If he failed, it would cost him his life.
It might have been an illusion, but in the instant of self-destruction, Marquis Beixi thought he heard a sigh from the figure opposite him.
As the King of Nightmare Spirits set off a horrifying self-destruction, four Nightmare Spirits simultaneously raised Rule Shields, but only the mysterious Ninth Rank being from beyond, who seed indifferent to the terrifying explosion, calmly ‘watched’ him with the black hole on its face.
This inscrutable deanor made Marquis Beixi feel even more uncertain.
He dared not hesitate any longer, and quickly withdrew his consciousness from the Deep Dream World with the cover of the explosion’s force.
The next mont, the intense explosion filled with Rule Fragnts engulfed everything in this miniature Dream World.
After the terrifying explosion had passed, the figures of the four entities reappeared at the scene.
At this mont, the appearance of the Four Nightmares was extrely wretched, their presence so weak they could barely maintain their normal forms.
And Anvis, who had previously seed enigmatic, had disappeared, directly disintegrated into dust by the blast.
Once it was confird that the aftershocks of the explosion had completely vanished, a thick book in the hands of Lilith of Lust lit up, and Anvis’s silhouette re-erged into the void.
Before coming here, Anvis had envisioned many possibilities, and Marquis Beixi’s choice to self-destruct was one of them.
So, at the sa mont the King of Nightmare Spirits self-destructed, Anvis imdiately exchanged places with a clone from the Ancient Secret Scripture.
However, after reappearing, Anvis didn’t first focus on the Rule Fragnts left behind by the King of Nightmare Spirits but turned to look at Madness of Desius, the last of the Four Nightmares not yet under his control.
anwhile, the other three of the Four Nightmares no longer disguised their intentions and directly surrounded Desius.
Having followed them all this way, now that the threat of the King of Nightmare Spirits was finally resolved, Anvis had his hands free and began to be curious about what exactly he intended to do.
