At this mont, Prince Haken’s people were not the only ones in the coffee area.
Children of several other Marquis, as well as the seventh son of the current Family Head of Aslade, were all here chatting leisurely, exchanging the latest intelligence acquired by their respective backing forces.
This exchange of information was very necessary, as so details that appeared insignificant to so could be vitally important information to others.
All of them were senior students nearing graduation, and the reason they were not in a hurry to graduate was to maximize the use of various high-quality resources available through the platform of Pamir Academy.
"..."
At this point, after watching the whole dramatic scene, a mocking glint appeared in the eyes of several onlookers.
However, no one spoke up, all waiting for soone else to break the embarrassing silence in the room.
"...I am very sorry, Your Highness the Prince, this was my mistake, I should not have given him the invitation."
Finally, the Fifth Rank senior student who had previously given Dan the invitation, unable to withstand the invisible pressure of everyone’s gaze, stood up and started to apologize in a low voice.
The scene of him frantically signaling Dan had been noticed by many, and now they were waiting for him to offer an explanation.
Although he was reluctant to be the one to draw the Prince’s ire, he had no choice but to bite the bullet and co forward.
"Forget it... It’s not your fault."
Watching Dan being dragged away, after a mont of silence, Prince Haken finally turned around, glanced at the Fifth Rank senior and sighed softly, shaking his head with a self-mocking smile.
"His appearance here tonight and that clownish performance were not accidental.
Even without you, I believe our dear Lord Anvis would still find another way to get him an invitation."
As he spoke, Prince Haken’s gaze turned towards the crowd.
"A small issue, sorry you had to witness it. Actually, the cause of this matter is like this..."
Looking around, the Prince briefly recounted to everyone the general backstory of the incident.
While perhaps not very glorious, hinting to his followers to find a way to test Anvis wasn’t exactly a secret.
All present had their own channels for information, and if they wished, finding out the details behind it would be just a matter of ti.
Better to speak frankly oneself and leave an impression of being gracious.
"So, this must be his way of responding to my test, sending... what’s that clown’s na?"
As he said this, the Prince paused slightly and his light purple eyes glanced at the Fifth Rank follower who had co forward to apologize.
"His na is Dan, Your Highness Haken."
The student quickly answered.
"...By sending Dan directly to , he is demonstrating his intelligence capabilities, being able to trace all the ins and outs behind this incident within two days.
And by manipulating Dan to perform that ’ludicrous play,’ he is showing off his power.
I believe, before he jumped out to perform that ridiculous act, none of you had noticed anything unusual about him, right?"
As soon as the Prince finished speaking, everyone recalled the recent scene and couldn’t help but fall silent.
In fact, from the mont Dan approached to the point he was dragged away by the guards, none of them had detected the special fluctuations of Mind Control Magic on him.
"Anvis, I’ve heard his na before, he is the fourth descendant under the esteed Duke Karlars."
"It is said that inheriting both parents’ Legendary Bloodlines and achieving a state of balance resulted in his hair and eye color being completely different from that of his three older brothers."
After a mont of silence, Yasila Aslade, the seventh son of the Aslade Family Head, with his serpentine golden vertical pupils, slowly began to speak, sharing his understanding of Anvis.
"He must possess an extraordinary talent to have broken through to the Third Rank in less than a year of enrollnt, surpassing the record of his brothers, on par with the esteed Duke Karlars."
"Moreover, it is said that the Curse Flying Dragon Egg, a new product from the Olivendi Chamber of Comrce, is devised based on the magical knowledge from a mysterious relic that he deciphered."
The third daughter of Marquis Draka also spoke up, sharing the intelligence she had gathered.
"However, there are rumors that he has recently been investing a lot of resources to establish a subordinated power called the Secret Ceremony Society, which has already grown to a significant size."
Upon ntioning this news, everyone couldn’t help but smile at each other.
Another one who has fallen into the great pit of the foreigner organizations—
Though talented enough, it’s a pity that due to his age, he ultimately suffers from a lack of practical experience.
Blinded by the enormous advantages of those foreigners, he fails to realize that they have absolutely no loyalty or discipline, even less reliable than the crudest rcenaries who only recognize money.
However, it could be beneficial, strictly speaking, for them.
Since they will mostly be competitors in the future, Anvis creating a player force bound to yield no results will consu more of his energy, inevitably leading to lagging in other areas.
The slower Anvis’s developnt, the more advantageous it is for them.
At this mont, however, due to Dan’s episode, those discussing Anvis are not just the many descendants of great nobles in the coffee area of the club.
At the top level of the Constant Gold Club, in a Gloria II era classical study, two figures watched a scene unfolding in the club through a special magic.
"What a beautiful counterattack, Draco! Such finesse easily surpasses that of his three brothers at their age!"
Seeing Dan being dragged away, the figure enveloped in a faint Grey Mist, sitting on the left sofa wearing a hood, couldn’t help but quietly applaud.
As if an audience mber at the bottom of a stage applauding a wonderful opera performance.
"That’s only natural, given his talent and behavior. It would be concerning if he had not struck back effectively," calmly spoke the man across from him, Marquis Draco.
"However, he has only left his family for just over a year; age and experience are his natural shortcomings. Making idealized choices is within reason."
"Let’s make a slight adjustnt—officially moving the focus level on him from Level Three to Level Two."
...
In fact, Dan’s previously self-destructive actions were due to a ntal suggestion imparted by Anvis through the Twisted Seed.
"Upon encountering Eighth Prince Haken, repeat the warning you gave earlier."
Unlike direct Mind Control, the suggestion from the Twisted Seed does not violently warp the recipient’s psyche, but subtly changes their common sense, making them believe it to be a normal way of greeting.
After confirming through the Twisted Seed’s perspective that Dan’s performance had perfectly concluded, Anvis imdiately retrieved the seed.
Regardless of Dan himself, who is but a minor character, even the Eighth Prince he dreams of following, has been proven to be no more than a diocre figure in later history; there is no need to waste a precious Twisted Seed slot on him.
As for Dan himself, neither Anvis nor Prince Haken really care much about him.
After all, Dan is nothing more than a fool pushed to the forefront, a puppet manipulated by others.
In the face of an opponent’s probe, it is truly embarrassing to retaliate against a re jester instead of addressing the real problem, which would not only lose face in their circles but also leave a reputation of incompetence.
