172: Chapter 172 The Prophecy of the Destiny Coin 172: Chapter 172 The Prophecy of the Destiny Coin “Inside, there is sothing dark and shapeless swirling—”

“Could you describe it in more detail?”

Upon hearing the dove’s overly simplistic description, Anvis slightly raised an eyebrow.

At the sa ti, he walked to the tower’s entrance, pretending to examine the magic inscriptions on it to prevent Jom from noticing anything unusual.

“Those pitiful beings, writhing within the mirrored reflection of the Dream Realm, neither accepted by the real world nor embraced by the Dream World, can only lurk in the empty gaps gasping for survival—”

“Moreover, although you see the ‘door’ of the tower, the entrance is not from this angle—!

From your current position, there should be nothing—”

Seeing Anvis approaching, the dove flapped its wings and flew back onto Anvis.

“Could you explain it more specifically?”

Anvis blinked, sowhat puzzled by the dove’s words.

“Just as a single drop of water contains countless facets, the world has infinite perspectives—”

“What one observes from one perspective can appear completely different when viewed from another.

Just like how from your perspective, it looks like a ‘dove’ and not a ‘mirror.'”

Having said this, the dove added another sentence.

“You can go in and take a look for yourself—”

“Do you an, break this seal?”

After thinking for a mont, Anvis inquired ntally to the dove.

“Won’t this have so bad effects on my island?”

“It will have a little impact, but no worries!

Just like a savannah that already has ninety-nine lions, the addition of one more won’t cause any fundantal change to the other animals’ living environnt—”

The dove stretched out its right wing, the tip of its feathers curling slightly as if giving a thumbs up.

“Fine then, let’s forget about it for now.”

Anvis slowly shook his head and cast a final glance at the imnse grey-black tower before turning to leave.

This secluded gigantic island had already been viewed by him as a secret base for future use; he was not inclined to recklessly spoil its environnt.

Even though, according to the information known thus far, the island bears a curse, the presence of the Alien God Sect, and that ancient darkness sealed away, the contamination may already be quite severe.

.….….

Around 9 o’clock in the evening, Anvis and Jom returned to the “Dormant Sea Demon” tavern.

Having unexpectedly encountered an assault by what seed to be mbers of the island’s Alien God Sect, Anvis had altered his plans for the evening, intending to organize the information he had gathered during the day.

Unlike the quietness during the day, the nightti Dormant Sea Demon was bustling with noise.

Bright flas crackled in the fireplace; the huge chandelier made of fish oil candles lit up the interior of the tavern brightly.

Sailors, porters, workers…

A large number of Port City residents crowded the place, enjoying the leisure following a day’s labor.

Dancers with honey-colored skin swayed sensuously, twisting and turning freely at the center of the tavern.

Their light clothing embellished with shiny gold sequins sparkled under the orange-red fla.

The minstrel strumd an ancient lute in a corner of the tavern, playing a lodious foreign tune.

Frothing white mugs of beer, whole roast fish dripping with golden oil, clinking glasses, and a chaotic sprawl of plates.

So individuals cloaked in black robes gathered in a corner of the tavern, seemingly having so kind of eting.

Anvis gave that area an extra glance; although their attire resembled that of Alien God believers, their deanor was quite normal, lacking any fanaticism.

Passing through the lively ground floor of the tavern, Anvis slowly made his way up to the third floor, with Jom closely following behind him.

Unlike the bustle of the main hall, the stairway environnt was very quiet.

The flas of the wall candles cast a dim yellow light, reflecting off the brown cloaks of the two n, casting writhing, deep shadows beside them.

Upon returning to his room, Anvis closed the door, took a seat beside the window at a black oak desk, and lit the thick fish-oil candle at the corner of the desk.

By the warm and bright candlelight, he took out the Ancient Secret Scripture, placing it on one corner of the desk.

Ever since arriving in this port city, for so unknown reason, the pages of the Ancient Secret Scripture had remained faintly illuminated, seemingly becoming very active.

After a brief examination of the Ancient Secret Scripture, confirming there were no additional unusual changes,

Anvis’s thoughts stirred, and a dark silver pendant with a strange pentagram appeared in his hand.

That was the item left behind by the two cloaked figures with identities suspected to be Alien God believers, who had attacked him at dusk.

Under the flickering candlelight, the grooves of the pentagram on the surface of the silver ornant seed to be slowly writhing, giving off a sowhat sinister appearance.

The pendant was not a magic item, but its surface was tinged with a strange power.

This aura was faint but gave a rich sense of foreboding and malevolence.

Clearly, the source of this power was none other than sothing sinister.

Placing the dark silver pendant to the other side of the desk, Anvis spread out the wide island map previously provided by the old explorer.

It was a replica of the original map in the possession of the old explorer, a specially made explorer’s map.

Although the material appeared to be ordinary parchnt, it was in fact manufactured using specialized demonized materials, with special magic adhering to it, allowing for free magnification of regions within the map.

Initially, the old explorer did not intend to share his years of exploration and mapmaking with Anvis.

But Anvis gave him too much—

With one hand, Anvis picked up the peculiar dark silver pendant, and as his palm flipped over, a platinum-colored Destiny Coin with a mysterious sheen appeared in his other hand.

Magnifying the map area of Lavales Port City, he clenched the Destiny Coin in his hand, silently contemplating the information he wanted to know.

He wanted to know the whereabouts of the two mbers of the Alien God Sect who had attacked him before.

Then, he positioned his thumb against the edge of the coin and lightly flicked it.

Unlike the previous ti when he prophesied with the gemstone with no reaction, this ti, the Destiny Coin underwent a change.

The mont the coin left his palm, Anvis had a premonition.

It worked—

Simultaneously, with an incredibly crisp ‘ding—’, the coin traced a beautiful platinum arc through the air and landed in a corner of the map…

Then it bounced once, fell vertically onto the room’s bluestone floor, and rolled toward the door.

It wasn’t until it hit the firmly closed thick oak door that it ca to a powerless stop after two rotations.

What does this an?

Anvis walked over slowly and picked up the Destiny Coin from the floor.

Originally, he had expected the coin to land sowhere on the map, indicating a rough location.

Then, he could follow the trail along with Jom.

Due to this prophecy, the special mysterious luster on the surface of the coin had dimd a bit.

The remaining power of the Destiny Coin was probably enough to support two more prophecies of the sa level.
