171: Chapter 171: Sudden Change 171: Chapter 171: Sudden Change Boom!!
As a thick tentacle broke through the ground, the soil around them within a few ters erupted violently.
The dirt and rocks scattered everywhere, then were deflected away by the rising magic power surrounding the two.
Facing this sudden magical attack, Anvis’s figure instantly flashed, his cloak’s special trigger Spell propelling him, in a movent resembling instant teleportation, out of the attack’s range.
At the sa ti, several Magic Rings on his fingers and various Talismans he wore lit up.
Over a dozen translucent High Rank Magic Shields and Defensive Spirit Lights erged around his body, covering all types of magic and preparing for any possible subsequent sneak attacks.
Behind Anvis, Jom’s gaze suddenly sharpened, and several icy blue Sword Qis materialized out of thin air beside him.
The next instant, these Sword Qis traced paths like laser beams, penetrating several Spells in mid-air, causing them to disperse into clumps of dark green Magic Clouds.
anwhile, a slender, transparent Sword Light, as bright as Moonlight, flashed beside the black tentacle that had just erged from the ground, instantly severing all tentacles at their base, crumbling them into fine Magic Particles.
After neutralizing the first wave of Attack, without waiting for the enemy to make another move, Jom suddenly raised his hand, converting an invisible force into a sword and swiftly slashing out two transparent Sword Nets.
These two ‘Sword Nets’ instantly crossed the space, enveloping two Third Rank figures in black robes hiding in the corner of a distant building.
The terrifying binding force field imdiately immobilized the two black-robed figures, who were about to run away upon seeing the unfavorable situation.
From the ti the two initiated their attack on Anvis to their mistake and capture by Jom.
In a flicker of monts, the ti elapsed wasn’t even half a minute—
anwhile, several island residents who had witnessed this scene on the street had already fled far away, fearing being caught in the crossfire.
“Lord Jom, please check their origins as well as their reasons for attacking us,”
Looking at the two black-robed individuals who suddenly launched an Attack on them, Anvis furrowed his brows.
The Spells they used gave him a very uneasy feeling.
Currently, although fixed by Jom’s net-like Sword Light, the emotions displayed in their eyes were not of fear, but rather a strange fanaticism.
Seeing this, Anvis didn’t even bother to approach them and instructed Jom to search the attackers’ possessions, and then directly used magic to read their mories to ascertain their origins and objectives.
But the results were not satisfactory; those two attackers’ mories were completely unreadable.
The consciousness of the two attackers presented an extrely chaotic and manic state, much like completely insane madn.
From their personal belongings, Jom found two dark silver pendants bearing a strange pentagram symbol.
Filled in the grooves of that symbol was a peculiar dark green pignt, seemingly a secretion from so creature.
“Believers of the Alien God Sect?”
Examining the two silver pendants, Anvis’s gaze was sowhat distant.
He was aware of the existence of the Alien God Sect on the island, and he even suspected Evan’s disappearance might be closely related to that sect.
But why would they suddenly attack him?
.….….
Regardless, after dealing with the two individuals who suddenly attacked him, Anvis continued with the original plan to investigate the black tower in the town.
Due to this incident causing so delay, when Anvis and Jom finally arrived at the black tower, the sky had completely darkened.
However, although it had turned to night, the foggy cloud cover in the sky had unexpectedly dispersed and beca strangely clear.
A giant Purple Moon hung high in the sky, casting a gentle fantasy-purple Moonlight onto the town at night.
The enchanting beautiful purple Radiance draped a veil of Moonlight over the buildings filled with exotic charm in the town, making it appear incredibly tranquil and hazy.
In front of Anvis and Jom, a majestic dark cylindrical tower occupied their entire field of vision.
This towering structure was much taller than any other buildings in the city, and it showcased materials and architectural styles drastically different from the rest of the town.
The huge dark columnar body of the tower was completely constructed from slightly greasy, tallic-gloss, peculiar gray-black hexagonal rocks.
Its surface seed to have weathered millions of years, revealing signs of extre antiquity and decay.
Unlike this Port City, the tower seed to belong to a completely different, ancient world.
In an era not of humans, an unknown Race built this ancient tower, which has survived to this day.
Walking around the base of the tower, Anvis noticed that the low entrance at the bottom of the tower was blocked from the outside by two silver-white tal bars.
The strange way of blocking, and the peculiar silver-white Sealing Array engraved in the center of the door, both proved one thing.
So special entity was sealed inside this ancient tower.
Closely observing the Sealing Array on the Stone Gate, Anvis ultimately ca to a conclusion.
It was a High Rank Sealing Array with space-ti sealing capabilities, and it also possessed self-recovery effects.
Clearly, there was so unknown entity inside the tower, which, if released carelessly, could likely cause troubleso issues.
However, for such a special door that was inconvenient to unseal directly, Anvis had a very simple thod to obtain information about the entity sealed behind it.
Dove—
“Coo?
Are you calling coo—”
Hearing the call in Anvis’ mind, the long-absent dove popped its head out from thin air, twisting its neck, looking at Anvis’ face.
“Yes, my dear Dove, there are so issues that need your help.”
Anvis looked at the dove with a smile.
Upon hearing this, the Dove imdiately erged from mid-air, fluttering down to Anvis’ light golden hair.
“What is it coo?”
“See that Rock tower?
Dove, could you help go inside and see what exactly is hidden inside the tower?”
After Dove fully appeared, Anvis pointed at the tower door barred by two tal strips and gestured to the Dove.
“Okay coo—”
Looking at the gray-black ancient towering tower, the Dove nodded, hopping over to the oily tallic-gloss Stone Gate, just as before, inserting its head into the silver Sealing Array on the door surface, and then slowly the whole body disappeared into the door.
All the talks and commands with Dove were conducted in the mind.
From Jom’s point of view, it just looked like Anvis suddenly smiled.
After a while, the Dove re-erged from inside.
“Coo coo—”
“How is it, my dear Dove, what is inside the tower?”
Seeing the figure of the Dove, Anvis smiled while watching it.
