Chapter 691: Chapter 691: Suddenly Encountering the Zombie Tide

The road to E-city base had beco quite familiar to Lu Hao, but for Su Xiangzhe and a few others who had never been to E-city base, it still felt novel. However, the road conditions were not as smooth as before, so Su Jin had gone into the space early on.

Even within the space, she didn’t idle about and continued to sow the seeds that she hadn’t finished planting the night before into the Spirit Field that Lin Cheng had prepared.

Before they erged, another batch of crops in the space had ripened, along with the herbs needed for the Face-changing pills they had planted last ti.

But now they had two tasks at hand, and Lu Hao probably didn’t have the ti to study how to concoct the Face-changing pills, so Su Jin pulled out those herbs and then categorized and placed them in the Pill Room, waiting until everyone had ti to make preparations.

Fortunately, the remaining stock of Face-changing pills was still sufficient, and they didn’t need to use them for their two tasks anyway.

The two vehicles had stopped several tis along the way to clear out zombies. Lian Jiyue and his son, seeing that Su Jin didn’t get out to participate, didn’t harbor the slightest suspicion. It was, in fact, more normal for Su Jin not to make an appearance; after all, which pregnant woman, several months along, would still be out killing zombies?

And seeing as the family also didn’t go into the space to call Su Jin out, it was clear that now, even if they were besieged by a horde of zombies, they could easily handle it.

Su Jin was happy to relax. Other than the first night when they had stayed in a small courtyard and she ca out to show her face, the next ti she ca out was already the following afternoon.

Su Xiangzhe had co in to inform her that they would soon arrive at the E-city base.

“So soon?!”

Su Jin recalled that the first ti they went, it took them several days on the road to arrive.

“With Lian Jiyue and his son leading the way, they took many shortcuts. But it’s really our vehicles that are impressive; no matter how complicated the roads get, we can get across,”

Su Xiangzhe said with a laugh. Furthermore, with Qiqi’s scouting ability, they had successfully avoided many areas heavily infested with zombies.

Su Jin understood then. No wonder Nie Qing and Lu Guanhai had co into the space several tis, saying it was too bumpy and that they needed a break. That explained it.

But when Su Jin and Su Xiangzhe ca out of the space, they realized that the family inside the vehicle were all on high alert.

“What’s happened?”

Su Jin faintly sensed sothing was amiss.

“Zombie Tide. E-city base is being besieged by a Zombie Tide,”

Lu Hao explained.

This was sothing Qiqi had just discovered. They were now stopped on an empty street, where previously the streets of E-city were swarming with countless zombies. But on this particular street, there wasn’t a single zombie in sight!

This could only an that the zombies nearby had truly been completely drawn to E-city base by the Zombie Tide.

Initially, Lian Zongren was sowhat skeptical, but when he heard the distant roar and explosion sounds coming from outside the vehicle, he couldn’t help but believe it.

“The city walls of E-city base aren’t very strong. I’m worried they won’t hold out for long,”

Lian Jiyue spoke up.

“What can we do then? We can’t break through and get in now either,”

Lian Zongren could only express his anxiety, wondering if they could only watch helplessly as E-city base t its doom.

“How are everyone’s Special Abilities right now?”

Su Jin asked.

“Pretty good, they’re all charged up, right? I’m OK,”

Lin Xiuyuan answered from the other vehicle through the walkie-talkie.

“ too. Did Su Jin think of sothing?”

Lian Jiyue was frowning deeply, but when he heard Su Jin’s question, he felt that she must have thought of a solution.

“I think those things Liang Jiuhui sent us should co in handy,”

Su Jin said with a smile. For so reason, after resting for two days, she felt a slight thrill. How long had it been since they had last encountered a Zombie Tide?

Atop the city walls of Base E, teams ford spontaneously by the base guards and Special Ability Users were holding their positions.

No one had organized them, but at this mont, everyone inside the city understood deeply that if they did not take the risk to fight now, they would all be dead within two days!

“Just my luck, I end up in this damned place, only to face such a damned ss,”

Fu Li felt like she was going crazy. They had just arrived at a so-called large base and hadn’t even had a chance to enjoy a good life there when the several million-strong Zombie Tide arrived. She heard it was because sothing had happened in the base’s research institute that attracted so many zombies.

“Stop complaining. With the energy you’re spending on cursing, you’re better off figuring out if there’s a way to escape later,”

Old Liu, who had always been Fu Li’s driver, said.

“Run? Look at the Special Ability Users here. Other than a few capable ones in so teams, the rest are all cowards,”

Fu Li rembered the two n who had once cheated them. One a Fire Elent user and the other a tal Elent user, they could take out so many of the Special Ability Users here with ease.

Boom!

A fairly powerful Fireball crashed down, thrown by a woman with slightly long hair. But even that Fireball only hit two or three zombies at most.

“Zhuozhuo! What are you doing here! Get back and rest!”

Cen Chu yelled. Zhuozhuo had given birth less than two days ago and was at her most fragile. How could she be on top of the city walls now, blowing in the strong wind or even fighting zombies?

“Back then, I might not have cared; dead is dead, but now I have a damn son who was just born! How can I watch the base get destroyed!”

Zhuozhuo shouted with determination despite her pale lips.

She had just beco a mother, and from the first mont she saw her baby, she felt as though she had been reborn. She truly wanted to be a good mother, and right now, what she needed to do was protect the base, protect her child!

Cen Chu didn’t try to stop her anymore and simply nodded, continuing to cooperate with the other Special Ability Users around him.

Below the city wall, in a corner unnoticed by so Special Ability Users, a row of zombies were slowly climbing up, one on top of another.

Roar!

A Special Ability User who was slightly leaning forward while using a Wind Elent Ability suddenly felt a pain in his waist, and then he was yanked down with a great force!

“Help!!!”

The Wind Elent Ability User’s plea for help rang out, but by the ti his teammates around him noticed, it was already too late. After he was pulled down, the zombie ladder instantly collapsed as each zombie was lured by the blood and flesh of the Ability User!

In the blink of an eye, that Ability User was devoured by countless zombies, and the growling of the zombies grew even louder…

“Ahh~~”

Screams were coming from all directions of the city wall, and Song Qin felt she was about to collapse.

Could this be just a nightmare? Like those she often had, where zombies chased her, maybe when she woke up, she would realize there’s no Zombie Tide at all?
