The plane touched down, its tires kicking up a puff of smoke as they t the runway.

Just before landing, a flight attendant had woken Wu Yun to remind him to return his seat to the upright position.

On their last night together, Qi Fei had cast aside her usual shyness and hesitation, becoming incredibly proactive. She brought Wu Yun imnse satisfaction, not only with her on top, but from the side and from behind as well.

He had woken up very early that morning and, not wanting to disturb the soundly sleeping Qi Fei, had taken a taxi straight to the airport. He spent the flight catching up on his sleep.

Wu Yun wanted to get an early look at how things were going at the Little Red Car Capital City Branch. Today was the day Little Red Car was launching its large-scale expansion into several major first-tier cities simultaneously.

The main focus, of course, was the rollout in Capital City and Modu.

Capital City, however, was a special case. It was poised to beco the primary battlefield for the showdown between red and yellow—Little Red Car and Little Yellow Car.

Li Qiuliang had reported on the situation in Capital City just two days ago.

Little Yellow Car had begun its promotional campaigns at major universities across Capital City, even using Little Red Car as a negative example in its advertising. They hadn’t nad nas, of course, but anyone with eyes could see who they were targeting.

"Little Yellow Car is launching! The registration deposit isn’t 299—it’s only 199!"

"In two days, Little Yellow Car will be fully launched! Register now and get 20% off every 30-minute ride for the first month!"

...

Thinking about Little Yellow Car’s dirty tricks made Wu Yun furious. He never expected his own company would beco the one others were trying to asure up to and chase after. ’This must be one of the burdens of being an industry leader,’ he thought.

The cabin door opened, and the advantages of business class beca apparent—they were the first to deplane.

As he listened to the flight attendants’ farewells, Wu Yun noticed one of them—a pretty, young woman—smiling at him. She kept shooting him flirtatious glances and even pointed to her uniform pocket.

Wu Yun smiled and nodded back, guessing she must have been the one who had put a blanket on him earlier.

The mont he walked past her, the flight attendant’s information appeared in his mind.

Na: Xu Chenxi

Age: 23

Looks/Figure/Rating: 92/90/88

System Evaluation: A gem among used cars.

’What does that an?’ It was the first ti Wu Yun had ever seen an evaluation like that, and it piqued his curiosity.

Wu Yun stuck one hand in his pocket, carrying his travel bag as he walked down the long jet bridge.

Suddenly, he felt a slip of paper in his pocket. He pulled out the crumpled note and saw a line of elegant, small handwriting.

"Hello, Mr. Wu. I’m Xu Chenxi. I was hoping we could be friends. This is my phone number and WeChat: 189********. I know Capital City very well, and I happen to have a few days off starting in two days. I could be your tour guide if you’d like."

Wu Yun smiled calmly. ’This is what happens when you’re handso. Prey just throws itself at you wherever you go.’

He casually crumpled the note in his hand. After walking a little farther, he spotted a stainless steel trash can. He hesitated for a mont, then unfolded the note, took out his phone, and added her on WeChat. Only then did he crumple it back into a ball and toss it. The paper wad sailed in a perfect arc, landing squarely in the small opening of the bin.

Wu Yun glanced at his Patek Philippe. Eight-thirty. Perfect timing to head over to the branch office.

Two days prior, Wu Yun had asked Li Qiuliang to arrange for the Little Red Car Capital City Branch to send soone to pick him up from the airport.

The great thing about having subordinates was that he didn’t have to do everything himself. Even getting a last-minute plane ticket had been handled by his rather unassuming secretary, Wang Hao.

People always said that one word from a leader could make their subordinates run their legs off. Now, Wu Yun was finally getting to experience the perks of being the one in charge.

As one of the country’s most famous major airports, Capital City Airport had one of the highest passenger traffic volus.

Even in the early morning, the arrivals hall was a surging tide of people. All sorts of signs with nas on them were held high. Wu Yun even spotted a large group of fans holding up similar signs for so celebrity he’d never heard of. He couldn’t tell if they were hired fans or die-hard followers, but they looked like they’d been waiting for a long ti.

Scanning the crowd, Wu Yun easily spotted the man and woman sent to pick him up.

While everyone else was holding up placards or simple sheets of paper, this young man and woman were holding a long banner: "Welco, President Wu Yun, to Capital City!"

Wu Yun strode over. When the two saw him, their faces lit up in welcoming smiles. "President Wu, welco to Capital City!"

Wu Yun smiled back. "Thanks for coming. You should probably put that banner away, or people might think I’m so big shot!"

His little joke eased their obvious tension and broke the sowhat quiet atmosphere.

The female employee handed him a bag of breakfast, speaking in Mandarin that carried a slight regional accent. "President Wu, you probably haven’t had breakfast, have you? We weren’t sure what you like, so we just got so bread and milk. I hope you don’t mind."

Wu Yun wasn’t a fussy person. He accepted the breakfast with a smile and handed his bag to the male employee.

"Thank you. I’m not a picky eater."

Wu Yun was very pleased with their thoughtfulness. They were small gestures, but they were enough to show that these two employees, both in their twenties, had high emotional intelligence.

"What are your nas? And which departnts are you from?"

The male employee, now holding the banner and the bag, paused and fell half a step behind him to answer, "President Wu, I’m Wang Wei, from Logistics."

The female employee followed suit. "And I’m Xie Qi, from Administration, President Wu."

Wu Yun nodded without further comnt and took a large bite of the bread.

Although Wu Yun looked quite young, the chasm in their respective statuses kept the two of them from relaxing too much.

As a semi-veteran of the workplace, Xie Qi knew what it ant when a top leader asked for your na. It might not lead to a reward, but it ant the boss was at least satisfied with how they’d handled the airport pickup.

She nodded at Wang Wei, who caught her aning and said with a smile, "President Wu, please follow . The company car is parked over this way."

With that, he moved to the front to lead the way.

Seeing that Wu Yun was eating, Xie Qi didn’t say anything and simply followed silently behind.

So of the onlookers had already noticed the pair with the banner, and the whole scene had not escaped their attention.

"Man, I envy these rich guys. They’ve got drivers, secretaries, soone to carry their bags... and the guy’s so young too." Being in administration, Xie Qi was what most people would consider a beauty.

Soone next to him chid in, "That’s what money gets you. If you were rich enough to open a company and hire a secretary, you could be a President Liu, too! And if other ’business’ cos up, you can have the secretary take care of it!"

The man’s words struck a chord, and the people around them all burst out laughing.

The man who’d chid in shot the first speaker a lecherous grin. "President Liu, if you get rich, I wouldn’t mind being your secretary!"

"Get the hell out of here! I’m not into that shit. If I were rich, the first thing I’d do is get like, ten girlfriends!"

The people around him gave him doubtful looks. With a body like a beanpole, there was no way he could handle that kind of "torture."

"What? You don’t believe ? Back in my day, I was a strapping young lad! I still am!"
