Tang Li understood everything upon hearing this.

Xiao Minglan must have assud that it was Song Baiyan’s doing, or that they had done sothing indescribable last night.

"You really have misunderstood." Tang Li had to explain again: "Mr. Song didn’t do anything to , and I don’t need any dicine. Just now, it was really just causing trouble, it has nothing to do with Mr. Song."

Xiao Minglan was surprised.

Tang Li paused for a mont before continuing, "I do like Mr. Song, but we haven’t gone as far as you think."

After a while, Xiao Minglan asked, "You two haven’t... done that?"

Upon receiving a definite answer, Xiao Minglan felt a sense of relief: "You’re not even 20 years old, indeed it’s a bit early."

"..."

After lunch, Tang Li left the villa.

Xiao Minglan did not insist on her staying this ti.

That evening, Song Baiyan returned ho unusually early.

Upon getting out of the car, he encountered the bodyguard next to Xiao Minglan in the corridor.

Knowing that Xiao Minglan was at the villa, Song Baiyan headed straight to the main building and upon entering, he saw Xiao Minglan fussing with the food in the dining room.

Xiao Minglan turned her head and smiled at her son: "Jingtian has gone to spring camp and won’t be back until tomorrow afternoon. I brought Aunt Min here, thinking it has been a long ti since we had a al together, so I thought we might as well have dinner here before we head back."

During the conversation, Song Baiyan had already arrived in the dining room.

Before her son could start asking questions, Xiao Minglan brought up Tang Li on her own initiative: "I t Miss Tang here this morning, and kept her for lunch. She said she had to leave early for school."

While she spoke, Xiao Minglan carefully watched Song Baiyan’s expression. Seeing that he remained unperturbed and had taken a seat, she thought for a mont before speaking in a roundabout way: "When Aunt Min and I arrived, she was in your room."

Song Baiyan laughed, looking up at Xiao Minglan: "What do you want to ask?"

"..." Xiao Minglan sighed inwardly and sat down at the table as well: "I may be anxious about your marriage, but I didn’t expect you to find soone with such a big age gap."

Seeing that her son did not deny, Xiao Minglan continued, "I have nothing against her; she has good looks and the right height. If it were ten years ago, and you brought her ho, as long as you were happy, I wouldn’t have said a thing.

But now you’re already 32 years old, and you’re not just an ordinary office worker. I do hope that the woman by your side is mature and reliable, soone who can empathize and think on your behalf when faced with situations, and not like a child who needs you to coax her when she throws a tantrum."

Song Baiyan poured himself a glass of water: "Did she throw a tantrum in front of you?"

Xiao Minglan was at a loss for words.

Then, she spoke, "No, that didn’t happen, but she is just a bit too lively. When I saw her in the wardrobe of your bedroom, she was wearing your shirt without pants underneath, showing her bare thighs, and in her hands... If she hadn’t explained later, I would have really thought you had done sothing to her."

"It’s normal for girls of her age to be lively."

Song Baiyan smiled: "As long as she’s not angering you, then it’s not a big issue."

Xiao Minglan, seeing her son so unconcerned, couldn’t help but sigh, "The age gap between you two is significant. Not to ntion how outsiders may view it, the longer you are together, the more conflicts will arise from all aspects.

Your social circles are different; you usually mingle with political dignitaries, and you don’t have much common ground. I don’t want to see you struggle in the future."
