In her text ssage, she had said she wouldn’t bother him again, but in less than a month, she broke the promise she had made to herself.

The grand clock in the living room chid on ti.

Song Baiyan stood up to check outside the window. The rain showed no signs of stopping, and turning back to Tang Li, he said, “If there’s nothing urgent at the school tonight, stay here for the night.”
Then Song Baiyan walked over to the landline and asked the servant to bring so clean toiletries.
Tang Li spoke up and asked, “Would staying here cause any inconvenience for you?”
After putting the receiver back on the landline, Song Baiyan turned his head, his deep gaze landing on her small face, a hint of amusent flickering in his eyes: “You, a little girl, how much trouble could you possibly bring ?”
The servant quickly brought the items over.
Tang Li’s room was a guest room on the third floor, not on the sa level as the master bedroom.
The servant stayed to help her make the bed, and Tang Li asked, “Aren’t there guest rooms on the second floor?”
“There are, but there’s no difference from the third floor.”
Hearing this, Tang Li’s movents slowed down.
She couldn’t help but to think—
Was Song Baiyan worried she might do sothing, so he didn’t let her sleep on the second floor?
Or maybe, did this arrangent prevent her from getting certain ideas?
After the servant left, Tang Li prepared to take a bath.
The guest room had an en suite bathroom. To avoid getting her clothes wet, she specially took them off and put on a bathrobe before going in.
Tang Li didn’t expect that there would be a “thief” entering the guest room.
Right after she closed the bathroom door, the door handle of the guest room turned lightly, then the door creaked open. A Tibetan Mastiff in a standing position was pawing at the external doorknob, deftly opening the door, and then strutted into the guest room.
Upon entering, it leaped onto the bed.
The Tibetan Mastiff lowered its head, sniffed Tang Li’s clothes back and forth, sniffed around, then lay down and started picking things to chew.
After a while, it sharply heard the noise from the bathroom, knowing that the person inside would co out soon, picked up an item it fancied, jumped off the bed, and ran out of the guest room.
Tang Li ca out of the bathroom, drying her hair, only to find the bed in disarray.
The door to the guest room was also wide open.
Walking to the bedside, she checked her clothes and found her bra was gone!
She hurriedly left the guest room.
But there was no one in the hallway.
The servants had long left, they certainly wouldn’t be washing her bra.
In this building, only Song Baiyan lived.
Song Baiyan didn’t seem like soone with a hoarding quirk, and he always treated her like a child; it was unlikely for an elder to secretly take away a younger family mber’s intimate clothing.
Tang Li was about to return to the room to search properly, thinking she might have dropped it sowhere, when she turned around and caught sight of a huge black Tibetan Mastiff lurking not far ahead, “peeping” at her.
The unexpected sight made Tang Li feel alert.
A Tibetan Mastiff was not like other dog breeds; if aggressive, it could kill, and she had no idea where this Tibetan Mastiff on the third floor ca from, but could only think of one possibility: it was Song Baiyan’s dog.
Tang Li quickly saw clearly what it was holding.
