While waiting to board, Ming Wan couldn’t help but ask Chuchu about her trip to the Deep Forest House.

Chuchu thought for a mont and told her, "Besides Andrew, there were two other important mbers from different gangs there, all coming for you."

"How did they know I was there?" Ming Wan found it hard to believe. She already had a vague idea of the answer but still wanted to confirm it with Chuchu.

Earlier, during the confrontation with H-man, Chuchu’s slip of "ask your brother" was enough to shake her, and when Chuchu had just left the forest, soone ca to pick her up, which also left her suspicious.

There were too many loopholes in these matters, all too difficult to think through thoroughly.

She felt her guess was sowhat absurd, but she couldn’t help wanting confirmation from Chuchu.

Chuchu saw the conflict and fear in Ming Wan’s eyes and, after a brief silence, spoke the truth:

"Andrew said that several gangs basically know your whereabouts. When he heard you were there, he drove over. When I arrived, there was a firefight, and two people died. Andrew was also injured slightly."

"What? Andrew got injured? Is it serious?" Upon hearing about Andrew’s injury, Ming Wan beca anxious again, completely forgetting her resolve to cut ties with Andrew.

Chuchu said, "Not serious. I even bandaged him a bit. He thanked . I ca across the car picking him up on my way to the airport."

Ming Wan breathed a sigh of relief and felt a bit embarrassed about her outburst, softly saying, "I... I’m not..."

She stumbled over her words, unable to explain her recent anxiety. Chuchu smiled, "No need to explain. When a person runs fast, they still need to take a few forward steps suddenly when they brake." It’s inertia.

"Hmm, thank you." Ming Wan smiled faintly, thanking Chuchu.

At this mont, K walked over to remind them to board the plane.

On the plane, Chuchu closed her eyes to rest. The past few days had strained her nerves tightly. Now that she was safely on the plane, she naturally could relax.

Ming Wan, on the other hand, thought carefully about Chuchu’s words and everything that had happened in the past two days.

Over the course of several hours, she figured out the reason behind it; she felt bitterness in her heart and cold all over, hugging her arms tightly to give herself so warmth.

Chuchu woke from her nap and saw Ming Wan curled up in a shivering ball, her face pale, eyes filled with tears, seemingly abandoned and utterly pitiful.

"What’s wrong?" Chuchu quickly moved closer, gently patting her back.

Ming Wan turned her head towards Chuchu, opened her mouth to say sothing, but her chin trembled more severely, and tears flowed faster, finally letting out a "wah" sound, and she fell onto Chuchu, hugging her tightly and suppressing her sobs.

Seeing her deeply affected appearance, she must have understood the connections.

Chuchu let her lean against her shoulder, silently extending her hand to pat and soothe her. This was their siblings’ own matter; she was helpless.

After a while, Ming Wan stabilized her emotions, looking embarrassedly at the wet patch on Chuchu’s shoulder. She said, "Sorry, for dirtying your clothes."

Chuchu: "No worries, it’s just clothes. The one thing I don’t lack is clothes. If it makes you happy, I’ll send you more clothes to let off steam."

The old tailor would send her piles of clothes every month, and over in Ti, Yu Zimu and Jiang Lingling liked using her as a model, and once the clothes were made, she was always in the picture.

Ming Wan was amused by her words and then said, "I truly envy you."

"What do you envy for?" Chuchu casually asked. She regretted saying it right afterwards, wondering why she brought it up. Clearly, Ming Wan was going to talk about her brother using her.

Indeed, Ming Wan said wistfully, "Your family truly cares about you without calculation or deception. I heard your beloved truly loves you."

What could Chuchu say? She couldn’t affirm it to provoke her, nor could she make hypocritical remarks like "you’re good too." Being deceived by one’s family indeed is a painful matter.

Ming Wan seed not to need Chuchu’s response, continuing to speak sorrowfully, "Actually, Andrew knew about my family situation long ago. He approached intentionally, and now I realize my brother didn’t stop it when he had the chance.

When I was studying abroad, there were many people protecting . Anyone who approached would be thoroughly investigated by them. They must have known Andrew’s situation but still allowed to fall in love with Andrew.

How I wish they could let live in a dream, yet when I had love, they broke that beautiful dream and separated from Andrew.

I know I can’t be willful. If I enjoy love, I should bear the corresponding responsibilities. I’ve worked hard to forget Andrew, but then...

Did you know how happy I was when I learned two weeks ago that I could go to Country Y to see Andrew? Yet, laughably, I was rely a pawn, or to my brother, a slightly useful bait."

"Enough of this." Chuchu spoke softly. Matters involving the Crown Prince are best left unspoken.

Ming Wan pursed her lips, forming a bitter curve, then closed her eyes, feeling exhausted as she leaned against the back of her chair.

Such a beautiful and gentle woman, facing such strikes, yet still firmly controlling her emotions and reason, considering others. This endurance made Chuchu sigh deeply.

Comparing Ming Wan’s calculating brother, Chuchu felt fortunate to have Xiao Bai as a Second Brother, who always thought of her. When she went to study in Beijing, with one phone call, Xiao Bai ca unhesitatingly to Beijing to help her, relieving her worries.

Chuchu decided to treat Xiao Bai better in the future, refraining from showing her fists at every turn, considering he’s now a father.

Thinking of Xiao Bai, Chuchu recalled Jiang Kechu, with whom she hadn’t been in touch these days. He must be angry, mad at her for not following his advice.

When she returns, she must lower her stance to properly win Jiang Kechu over.

Before Chuchu boarded the plane, Li Shan had called Jiang Kechu, telling him Chuchu was returning.

Upon hearing the news, Jiang Kechu’s mood instantly brightened, and the low pressure he had been under for days vanished. He planned to leave work early, go ho, tidy up, and welco Chuchu back.

Seeing Jiang Kechu’s gloom cleared away, Chen Ke breathed a sigh of relief, secretly guessing that his sister-in-law was finally returning. Pondering the bad advice from Mai Qiqi, he called out to Jiang Kechu, who was about to leave with light steps.

"Captain Jiang, I’ll take you ho and chat a bit."

"Alright." Jiang Kechu didn’t think much of it.
