After the car drove a certain distance, it beca increasingly silent and deserted, without encountering a single vehicle. She didn’t know where these two were taking them.

Chuchu thought, the phone on her should allow the Crown Prince to locate her, and those five letters should be able to find them soon. Plus, she had the ring her grandfather gave her on her finger, which would let Li Shan know her exact location.

She reached out and silently grasped Ming Wan’s hand, wanting to offer her so comfort and tell her not to worry.

Unexpectedly, after a while, there was a movent in her palm. Ming Wan was writing: Can we take these two down?

Chuchu: "..." Even such a gentle and lovely lady has violent monts.

She turned her hand over and wrote in Ming Wan’s palm: Hold on, let’s see where they’re taking us first. I have a gun.

This exchange cald Ming Wan considerably, and she wasn’t as flustered and worried as before.

The car continued through the forest, and eventually, the road narrowed significantly, only wide enough for one car to pass through. The trees on both sides grew taller and more towering, blocking out the sky, and it darkened a lot.

Finally, they stopped in front of a rather dilapidated small building. The driver honked the horn, and soon a man ca out from the building. Chuchu couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows when she saw him.

It turned out to be an Eastern man. Was he a Chinese?

The Eastern man walked up to the car and greeted the two in front in English, asking, "Everything go smoothly?"

The driver laughed, "The people are in the back. Maybe they’re even your fellow countryn."

The Eastern man looked inside and saw Chuchu and Ming Wan. He paused and spoke a sentence to test them, speaking not in Chinese but in Korean.

Looks like he’s from Korea. Chuchu lowered her gaze to hide the coldness in her eyes. In her heart, this Korean man absolutely had to die.

Due to her father’s matters, she had no goodwill towards Korea. Over the past few years, she often wreaked havoc on various Korean websites online, causing quite a bit of trouble for Korea.

To encounter a Korean here, soone involved with the kidnappers, he clearly wasn’t a good person. Chuchu had no psychological barriers to killing him.

Chuchu’s bewildernt and Ming Wan’s disregard led the Korean man to conclude these two won weren’t his fellow countryn, so he lost interest and said to the two foreign n in front:

"Big D wants us to hide here with them for now and act when we get word."

The two foreign n grumbled before getting out of the car and then opened the back door for Chuchu and Ming Wan to get out.

It was only then that Chuchu noticed a long scar running from behind the driver’s ear to his left cheek. The other man had a pair of green eyes, which looked sowhat eerie.

Chuchu pulled Ming Wan to one side and got out of the car, and she asked Green Eyes, "Who are you?"

Before Green Eyes could respond, the scar-faced man stepped in with a smirk, appearing before Chuchu, causing her to step back two paces.

"Hey, little girl, we’re brothers from the mafia. Don’t worry, now that you’re in our hands, there’s no chance of escaping." As he spoke, he reached out his indecent hand to touch Chuchu’s face.

Chuchu angrily reached out and slapped his hand away hard, then glared at him coldly.

So, they’re mafia as well. It seems they belong to a different faction than the Andrew family. She wondered if they were from Sara’s ex-husband’s faction, or perhaps another group seizing the opportunity to capture Ming Wan.

Scarred Man was first surprised, then angry, "You little bitch, how dare you hit . You must be tired of living." He swung a fist toward Chuchu.

This wasn’t the ti to fight back. Retaliating would reveal her martial skills to them, raising their alertness, so she could only dodge.

Chuchu nimbly dodged back, and simultaneously, Green Eyes grabbed Scar’s wrist, his face dark as he warned, "These two people, you can’t ss with them."

It was clear that Green Eyes seed to be more powerful or of higher status than Scar, as Scar didn’t dare challenge him.

Enduring the frustration, Scar said, "Shit," and then shot a malicious glare at Chuchu before turning to lead towards the small building.

"Alright, let’s go inside," the Korean man said flatly.

Fine, going inside would allow her to assess the situation, see how many people were there and how much firepower they had. With this in mind, Chuchu led Ming Wan inside.

Ming Wan was clearly frightened by the recent incident. Her face was pale, and the hand holding Chuchu’s was trembling slightly.

Chuchu squeezed her hand to reassure her.

Green Eyes walked ahead, and the Korean man walked behind them. As they entered the door, Chuchu took the opportunity to glance back, noticing the calculating expression on the Korean man’s face as he stared at Ming Wan.

Once inside, they saw Scar sitting brazenly on the couch in the living room, drinking beer. Seeing Chuchu enter, his eyes roved over her body shalessly.

Angrily, Chuchu thought: You’ll be the second one I kill! The first is the Korean man.

Green Eyes instructed the Korean man to take Chuchu and Ming Wan upstairs. Once there, he nonchalantly chose a room and had Ming Wan and Chuchu go in, then prepared to lock the door from the outside.

"Wait, I need to go to the bathroom," Chuchu said anxiously, blocking the door with her hand and foot.

The Korean man paused, showing an annoyed expression, and said, "Such a bother!" But he pointed to the end of the hallway, saying, "Over there, hurry up!"

Chuchu told Ming Wan, "I’ll be back soon." Ming Wan tried hard to remain calm and nodded at her.

The Korean man’s small eyes swept between Chuchu and Ming Wan expressionlessly, finally focusing on Ming Wan—she was the most important figure.

Chuchu walked slowly toward the end of the hallway, her ears perked up, her eyes discreetly taking in the surroundings.

Good!

There’s no one on the second floor, and there don’t seem to be any surveillance caras. The old furniture and décor suggest this is an old building, being used as a secret hideout they don’t want anyone to find.

She entered the bathroom for a mont, noting the ti, then flushed the toilet and hid a few important items close to her body before stepping out again.

The mont she exited the hallway, she could hear the Korean man’s voice, speaking awkwardly in English to Ming Wan, "Do you want to call your father?" Ming Wan didn’t respond to him.

Chuchu quickened her pace. Upon seeing her, the Korean man huffed, pushed Chuchu inside, and the door slamd heavily behind them, followed by the sound of it locking.

They were locked in the room.

Ming Wan looked at Chuchu, signaling with her eyes: "What do we do now?"

Chuchu held up a finger to her lips in a shushing gesture, then pointed outside, and sure enough, after a while, they heard the Korean man’s footsteps leaving. What a sneaky eavesdropper!

Could he understand Chinese? Chuchu frowned, suspicious.

Once they couldn’t hear anything from outside, she softly told Ming Wan, "It seems it’s just those three n downstairs. Once it’s dark, we’ll act. I’ll handle those three, and we’ll drive away."

She deliberately didn’t tell Ming Wan that she intended to kill those three. She also wasn’t sure if the five letters sent by the Crown Prince would show up, or if people from Andrew’s side would co. After thinking it over, Chuchu decided to seize the opportunity and act early. If Andrew’s people also showed up, things could get even more complicated.
