Yu Zimu took a sip of the strong bitter coffee, and after slowly savoring the bitterness, he suddenly smiled at Wan Chu’er.

"There’s no need to bear the burden for . Actually, it’s quite good. How can one gain wisdom without eating a loss? Aren’t all past hardships treasures? These are classic sayings after all."

Wan Chu’er’s expression remained unchanged as she asked, "What happened after that?"

"After that? Naturally, I went to find her. Unfortunately, I didn’t even get to see her face before they threw out. The second ti I went to see them, they sent to the police station, and I had to eat jail food for a few days. Look at my rich experiences; I’ve even tasted foreign jail food, and it’s really not that great."

"I’m not soone who’s too dumb to learn. After coming to my senses, I wasn’t content. With the ager savings I had, I approached so tabloid journalists to try and expose her. But this foreign monk truly can’t chant the sutras as well as they can. Before it could be published, they intercepted it. The most poisonous of a woman’s heart, I’m talking about those two mother and daughter, not you of course, you’re a good person.

Incredibly, they even found gangsters wanting to get rid of , to ensure I couldn’t speak or cause trouble anymore. That’s when I realized that staying there was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, futile effort. So I ran, and with great difficulty, I finally made it back to the country."

"Alright, my story is over. What do you think? Is it credible?" Yu Zimu imdiately regained his playful deanor and asked Wan Chu’er with a smile.

Wan Chu’er looked into his bright eyes and calmly said, "You’re not just dumb, you’re also a coward!"

Being deceived at first is one thing, but to cooperate for years without seeing through your partner’s true nature, to even fall in love with a demon, if that’s not dumb then what is?

After being abandoned and persecuted, not strong enough to fight back, you ran back here and ended up as a vagabond.

Yu Zimu was stunned, he did not expect Wan Chu’er to criticize him so harshly.

After a mont, he muttered, "I was dumb before, but after two years of reflection, I won’t make the sa mistakes. Gou Jian took ten years to have his revenge, and I will make my return."

Wan Chu’er raised an eyebrow and said, "Next, please prove to your left-hand power. If we can cooperate happily, I don’t mind being used for your revenge."

Yu Zimu suddenly looked at Wan Chu’er, no longer playful, and exclaid in surprise, "You guessed it?"

Had she guessed the reason he ca to her?

Forget about petty favors like a glass of water or two hundred yuan. After such setbacks, who would rush into things?

Wan Chu’er gave a faint nod.

Yu Zimu forced a bitter smile, "It seems I’m still too clever for my own good."

"Maybe you’ve been around fools too long outside and it’s affected you. Spend more ti with normal people, and you’ll recover."

"You... really have a sense of humor," Yu Zimu said sowhat awkwardly.

Wan Chu’er: "It’s the first ti soone has said that to ."

Yu Zimu asked the coffee shop waiter for two sheets of paper and a pen, turned to Wan Chu’er with a smile and said, "Talking to you has inspired . I might as well sketch it out now."

"Sure, do as you please," Wan Chu’er replied.

Yu Zimu nodded and his expression changed. He hunched over and focused intently on moving his pen, starting to sketch.

Wan Chu’er observed for a while, unable to judge the quality of his drawing, but she could tell that his left hand was indeed agile—if soone didn’t know better, they might think he was left-handed.

Just then, Jiang Kechu called, and Wan Chu’er hurried to answer, planning to notify Yu Zimu, but he seed to have closed himself off, his entire attention absorbed in his design. So Wan Chu’er moved to a seat three tables away from him.

"Why haven’t you returned ho yet?" Jiang Kechu asked through the phone.

Wan Chu’er chuckled softly, "I’m discussing so matters with soone. Are you ho yet?"

"Yes, I’ve bought so delicious food for you," Jiang Kechu said, "If you don’t co ho soon, it’ll all be eaten by your little glutton of a daughter. She hasn’t discovered it yet, but you know how keen her nose is."

Thinking of Little Chuanqi the little foodie, Wan Chu’er couldn’t help but laugh, coquettishly pleading, "No, you have to save it for . I’ll eat it when I get ho tonight."

"Okay, understood," Jiang Kechu indulged her and then asked, "Who are you dealing with? A man or a woman?"

Wan Chu’er could imagine Jiang Kechu trying to appear calm as she glanced at Yu Zimu, who was still drawing, and said in a low, teasing tone: "Don’t be paranoid all the ti. Aside from you, I wouldn’t fancy anyone else."

Jiang Kechu’s deep, proud laugh ca through the phone, "Where are you? I’ll co pick you up."

Wan Chu’er thought for a mont and said, "In two hours, co to Jinhui Imperial Building to find ."

"Okay," Jiang Kechu replied cheerfully, about to hang up when Little Chuanqi saw him and ran over, shouting, "Daddy, are you talking to Mommy? I want to talk to Mommy too."

"Chuanqi wants to talk to you, hold on."

"Mommy, why aren’t you ho yet?" Chuanqi asked.

"Mommy is working, and Daddy will co pick Mommy up in a bit."

"I want to go pick up Mommy too," Chuanqi stated imdiately.

"If Daddy agrees, then Mommy agrees," Wan Chu’er playfully passed the buck to Jiang Kechu.

Yu Zimu soon finished his drawing. Unfortunately, there were no colored pencils to add color, but he could do that later when he was back. After reviewing it and feeling satisfied, he looked up but did not find Wan Chu’er. Had she left? Yu Zimu felt sowhat disappointed; he wanted to see her approval.

Looking around, Yu Zimu quickly spotted Wan Chu’er sitting at a distance, on the phone. Excited at the chance of greeting her, he unexpectedly saw a different side to Wan Chu’er at that mont. She no longer had her earlier sharpness and chill, but instead, she beca extrely gentle, encircled by a halo of purity.

Yu Zimu rembered the snowfall he had seen on Yulong Mountain, pure with a hint of mischief, and he fell into contemplation. Then, pushing the paper aside, he leaned over and started drawing once more.

At that mont, his mind felt like a raging torrent, wishing his hands could fly to capture this intense sensation and express it swiftly. Although his left hand had improved a lot with the extensive training, it still wasn’t as nimble as his right hand used to be, and he cursed his forr foolishness. This thought flashed by, making him focus even more on his current work.

After finishing the call with Chuanqi, Wan Chu’er looked up to see Yu Zimu still drawing. She noticed a completed drawing on the table and approached to take a closer look.

Yu Zimu remained oblivious to his surroundings, his earnest focus warranting admiration. Wan Chu’er picked up the drawing and examined it carefully.
