Chen ilin was an extrely careful person, and the suspicion in her heart didn’t disappear completely. She had talismans around her wrist, and she subconsciously walked over to tug at Old ng’s arm. Father ng’s tone was so sincere and exactly the sa as in the past, and Chen ilin couldn’t hear the slightest difference. Just as she was about to speak, she saw that he had Master Chi’s talismans around his wrist. Chen ilin thought that she was seeing things, but when she took another look and saw the two talismans, she suddenly got excited.

Chen ilin had always thought that Father ng was possessed. She had still been doubtful before, but at that mont, all her doubts dissipated at Father ng’s words and the talismans around his wrist.
These talismans were indeed the ones from Master Chi. Didn’t that an that her Old ng hadn’t been possessed by that evil spirit at all?
The evil spirit didn’t dare touch the talismans. The person in front of her was really Old ng!
Chen ilin was suddenly excited. She recalled how she thought that Old ng had been possessed by that evil spirit these past few days, and how scared she had been. Now that she saw it was really Old ng and he wasn’t possessed by the ghost, Chen ilin was thrilled and overjoyed. “Old ng, is that really you? Is that really you? You weren’t possessed by the ghost?”
Father ng’s hand paused for a mont, before his lips quickly curved into a smile. “ilin, what nonsense are you saying? I’ve always been wearing the talismans you gave . How could I have been possessed by the ghost?! No wonder you were so cold to before!” After a pause, before Chen ilin could speak, he said, “There was one night that I wanted to take a good look at you, but seeing that you were asleep, I didn’t disturb you. Fortunately, you weren’t awake at that ti, or you would have been scared!”
Father ng teased her half-jokingly.
Chen ilin really believed it now. She naturally believed in the talismans which Master Chi had given to her. If Old ng in front of her was that evil spirit, it wouldn’t dare touch the talismans at all, to say nothing of wearing them around the wrist.
Also, the thing that had bothered her the most was the way Father ng stared at her that night. Back then, she always felt that Old ng’s stare was too scary and creepy. Thinking about it now, she might have been too agitated these past few days; you would naturally be scared and think too much if you suddenly saw soone staring at you in the middle of the night.
The last bit of doubt in Chen ilin’s heart disappeared completely. She hugged Father ng excitedly. “Old ng, it’s good that you’re fine. It’s good that you’re fine!”
Father ng patted Chen ilin’s shoulder. “Okay, ilin, I’ll go to work first. We’ll talk about the rest tonight! The housekeeper has sothing on, so I’ll let her go ho first. We’ll cook for ourselves for the next few days!”
After Father ng left, Chen ilin heaved a sigh of relief. Her originally tense body relaxed completely and she sat weakly on her daughter’s bed. Elated, she wiped her tears. “Daughter, your dad is fine, your dad is fine!”
