Jian Xi caught sight of Jian Mingcheng first as he stepped off the airplane, his face sullen.

She quickly tried to pry the servant’s hand away to hide the banner behind her.

"Enough, I’ve seen it already," he snorted coldly.

His stern, handso face could hardly hide his embarrassnt. He glared at Jian Xi with an urge to strangle her; it was the first ti Jian Xi had seen such a murderous expression on her big brother’s face.

She forced a smile and stepped forward, ingratiatingly saying, "Big- Big Brother... How co you ca back with him?"

What on earth was Secretary Lin doing! Didn’t he say Big Brother wouldn’t share a flight with Si Yuhuan...?

"What? Are you not welcoming and Big Brother?" Si Yuhuan seed to take pleasure in her misfortune.

Jian Xi gritted her teeth. He must have been behind this!

After glaring at him, she stepped forward to take Jian Mingcheng’s arm, but Si Yuhuan yanked her over.

"You haven’t answered yet! Are you not welcoming back?"

"How could that be! I’ve almost been dying..." Jian Xi paused, "dying to see Big Brother!"

Jian Mingcheng’s face flushed red. He felt that his little sister, probably having learned it from soone, was becoming more and more shaless.

"You handled the company matters well. Yang Jinyu will probably sign the contract today. I’m heading back to Jian Group to get things ready." He gave Si Yuhuan a deep, complex, and inscrutable look.

Jian Xi hesitantly saw her big brother off and then turned, falling into Si Yuhuan’s embrace.

Witnessing this scene, the group of servants understood and promptly scattered.

Only Jian Xi and Si Yuhuan remained in front of the entire airstrip.

"Um, let’s go back early. You should rest a bit, eat sothing, and then..."

And then quickly tell the news about my son.

Before she could finish, Si Yuhuan interrupted her. "Won’t you even ask how the Salsi case went? Don’t you want to know who had the last laugh between and Fu Shengyuan?"

Jian Xi was montarily stunned, waiting for him to continue.

Si Yuhuan poked her forehead with his finger. "You woman, you have no conscience."

Jian Xi clenched her teeth. She had more pressing matters to worry about right now and was naturally in no mood to ponder whether his deal had been successful. But he wasn’t wrong; not even asking made her purpose too obvious, making her seem quite petty.

"So, what was the outco? How did it go?" she asked sincerely.

"Hah!" Si Yuhuan let out a cold laugh, clearly having no desire to continue on that topic.

Jian Xi followed closely behind him. She could sense the fatigue emanating from him; he was also injured and must have been exhausted from rushing about.

Jian Xi suppressed her eagerness to ask for news and drove him back to the villa.

The car stopped in front of the house. She turned and saw that Si Yuhuan had already fallen asleep.

The man’s handso face was truly exceptional. Now, with his eyes slightly closed, his long lashes cast shadows, and his breathing was steady.

He really was exhausted.

Jian Xi watched him lying defenseless beside her, her fingers uncontrollably lifting to touch his hair.

The man’s hair was coarse, pricking her and snapping her back to her senses. She imdiately pulled her hand away.

She must be going mad! To actually feel a pang of sympathy for him.

Suddenly, Si Yuhuan opened his eyes. His piercing, cold gaze swept over with a domineering air. When he clearly saw Jian Xi opposite him, the intimidation in his eyes gradually subsided, softening sowhat. "Did I fall asleep?"

Jian Xi glanced at her watch. "You slept for an hour. It seems the Salsi Group acquisition was quite exhausting for you."

"No! It’s your old fla who’s quite a handful."

He opened the car door and stepped out with long strides.

Jian Xi followed behind him, tossing the keys to a servant. "What nonsense are you spouting? I have nothing to do with Fu Shengyuan. If he wants to pursue , am I supposed to break his legs and poison him mute?"

THUD!

Si Yuhuan stopped in his tracks. Jian Xi, not paying attention, bumped into him. "Ouch."

She clutched her nose in pain.

Si Yuhuan fixed his gaze on her, as if judging the truth of her words. "You’d better go break his legs and then poison him mute right now."

Huh? What kind of attitude was that!

Watching his stern back, Jian Xi had a sudden thought. "Hey, don’t tell you lost out to Fu Shengyuan, and now you’re in a bad mood and taking it out on ?"

Inside, the servants had already prepared a delicious al. This was sothing Jian Xi had instructed them to do before picking Si Yuhuan up; all the dishes were his favorites, and she had even personally made the braised pork ribs.

Catching the familiar scent of the food, he pointed at the braised pork ribs and arched an eyebrow. "You made this?"

Jian Xi nodded eagerly. "You’ve been working so hard. Have so good food to replenish your strength. How’s your body? Are you uncomfortable anywhere? If so, tell right away. Fourth Brother can take a look and help you recover."

Before she could finish speaking, Si Yuhuan reached out and abruptly pulled her into his embrace.

Jian Xi, utterly unprepared, smashed into his chest. His heartbeat thundered deafeningly in her ears. Panicked, she lifted her head to et Si Yuhuan’s deep, cold, obsidian eyes.

"There are so many people here! Let go of !" Two red patches appeared on Jian Xi’s face.

Si Yuhuan glanced at the surrounding servants, and they all imdiately retreated.

Jian Xi felt helpless. He had always been this domineering. His recent restraint was already the greatest consideration he had ever shown for this "love" of hers.

She would never forget how stern the face of the wealthy tycoon, who always got his way, could be.

"I know you’re trying to please for information about your son, but I can’t help wanting you to say that you’re genuinely concerned about ."

Jian Xi bit her red lip. "Actually, there’s no need for this. Saying things you don’t an... I feel it’s a bit unsuitable for our current relationship."

He tightened his grip on her waist, and Jian Xi frowned in pain.

"It hurts!" she cried out. A strange glint flashed in the man’s eyes.

"Si Yuhuan! You should eat!" she said, trying to change the subject.

Her heart was pounding.

The al was tasteless. He was in a foul mood and ate in complete silence. Jian Xi felt she didn’t dare make a sound, afraid he would find fault with her.

Si Yuhuan put down his bowl and chopsticks.

Jian Xi imdiately asked, "Do you want to rest now?"

There seed to be an insurmountable chasm between them.

He said nothing, only gave Jian Xi a deep look before heading upstairs.

Jian Xi hung her head. She glanced at the banner by the door, then walked over and kicked it repeatedly. "Damned bastard! No matter how I try to appease him, he’s unhappy. When will I finally get news about my son!"

Truthfully, she knew what Si Yuhuan wanted, but it was sothing she could never give. The tragedy of her past life must not be repeated. If she didn’t learn her lesson this ti, she would surely die without a proper burial. mories replayed in her mind as she looked towards Si Yuhuan’s room. I’ll just use you. Once my son is rescued, we’ll go our separate ways. Consider it compensation for what you owed in our last life!

Huang Ying called.

"Where is Song Xicheng? Didn’t you say Si Yuhuan returned to the country? Why hasn’t he called back!"

She complained that she couldn’t stand living with Xinxin anymore, calling the woman a pervert.

"I want to go back!"
